AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

It always takes a while for FedEx and UPS to update their tracking info. You'll probably be able to view it some time tonight.
Ordered mine through AT&T at around 10 am EST and it shows shipped today from pending yesterday.
nope, i work for UPS, we handle 80,000 packages a day, and thats just my location, theres no way to find your individual package pull it off the tractor trailer and change the info, they run a tight ship and theres not even a second to piss let alone do that
More than likely it's because they just slapped a label on the box but it has not been picked up by UPS/FedEx. Once the driver picks it up they will be trackable shortly after.
Based on this, I am 13 - Next Day Saver. So I wouldn't expect the tracking number to work until some time tomorrow.
So apparently my phone is shipping next day Air with UPS, which I'm assuming is the case for everyone. Question is, if they actually ship today, and arrive tomorrow...since NDA is delivery in the morning generally, I will miss the shipment tomorrow. When they try again on Friday (when I'll be home), will they deliver at the morning time slot, or the regular ground UPS time in my neighborhood (which is typically between 6-7PM)? I'm probably one of the few who hopes they just deliver Friday, so I know I'll get it in the AM on Friday.

LOL...that is EXACTLY my same situation! I am leaving Atlanta around 3:00 to go to the LSU-Tennessee game in Knoxville. Not happy that I will potentially just miss the UPS delivery truck.
Just to update:
My 16GB model (the one I got an email saying it's shipped) shows a shipping date of 10/8/2011 with a tracking number (FedEx)
My 32Gb model (yet to be shipped) shows a shipping date of 10/11/2011 - no tracking number
Both were ordered on 10/7 (4am Eastern).

CS Chat just mentioned that mentioned that my 2nd order is UPS

I am in Dallas also... mine is 01, so I assume that implies a morning delivery
and the air saver goes on your normal drivers truck to be delivered when he normaly gets to you, early am is a diff driver all together..... usually

Just got of the phone with ATT Rep.
here is what she is telling me: "I can guarantee you sir that NONE of the iPhone 4S will be shipped from AT&T before Oct. 14. ATT will start shipping iPHone 4S on OCT 14 only as per Apple."
I told her other people already have tracking number and shipping emails from ATT that there orders are shipped from ATT.
she said "It is NOT possible Sir. I can Guarantee you that."
LOL.....this shows how ATT is keeping their employee without any knowledge of real world....LOL

Take a quick spin through your neighborhood and try and spot the truck. I have done this before and gotten him to deliver my package on the spot.
I'm pretty sure we are SOL until November. I can see my order online but both phones have a "1" in the backorder column and my order date is 10/10 instead of the 7th.
Early this morning I posted that I received my tracking number via AT&T's website but didn't receive an email from them. Here is an update:
At around 11:35 eastern time I received the email from AT&T that my order is "being shipped". It also has the tracking number and information on how to activate the phone once I receive it. I still haven't seen any movement on the tracking number though.
