One thing to consider is iPhone 6/+ had a week to process and deliver the largest iPhone pre order sales in history. The 6s/s+ has two weeks!
Most people who frequent this forum got their phones on the day. I'm well aware of this. I've been following these boards since the iPhone 4 launch. I stand by my statement 100%
The forums generally reflect people complaining. Those who get their phones fade away. Also your 6+ specific. Not everyone ordered a 6+. Apple was selling the 6 also.
I stand by my post. You can do likewise. I'm not arguing about it.
Not arguing. You are basing your statement based on personal experience because you lucked out. My statement is backed up with proof from last year's thread on here for the hot phone which was the 6+ at that time. Some people got phones but many didn't. Same thing happened with the 5s. I was unfortunately in that group both years. An a former AT&T employee and a current Verizon Wireless management team member, I know that Apple hasn't provided carriers enough 6+ Pink Gold phones. Apple is going to fulfill orders from Apple.com and the App Store app and will def. try it's best to fulfill carrier orders.
I am optimistic about ATT getting it right this year but they don't have a good track record. You are correct that the disgruntled are the most active on the forums but it was many last year. I was very disappointed with getting my phone a week after launch since I ordered my phone before 3am. I hope everyone the best but with AT&T, it's a tricky road.
Pretty sure Apple offered no pre orders for the 5s.

As of now, AT&T's website still says 10/19-10/26 for 6+ (except Rose Gold). I think by the end of this week, we will see a more optimistic ship time for pre-orders that happened around 3AM EST.
Remember when the 5s accidentally went on sale for in-store pick-up a week early? I was one of the lucky ones to snag one before they took it down. That space gray was beautiful...really wish they had carried that color forward.Talking about quantity of phones, not pre orders on the 5s. And deliver dates after the phone went on sale.
To those saying the day will probably move up as we get closer to launch, will AT&T actually update the shipping date in the order status page? or will we know just by a tracking # that gets issued?
This is the first time I order from AT&T (due to the 2-yr contract option). In previous years, when ordering from apple, there was a way to lookup the tracking numbers days before apple gave them to you (using the phone number, etc). It's probably still too early for that but was wondering if the same thing could be done for AT&T shipments.
*Self righteous rant*
GOOD LORD y'all have been chatty. I have read it all and to summarize:
None of you know for certain when the phones will arrive, when they will ship, or what not. Not even the guy/girl who worked (yes, worked, not works) at AT&T and who now works at Verizon knows for sure what is going to happen.
So looking at order numbers, statuses, estimated ship dates, past history...it's all an exercise in futility. I work at a company that deals with the public and our public is very chatty on message boards and on social media too. And guess what--they are almost always wrong, about most things.
Every company has changes internally each year--nothing happens this year exactly like it did last year.
So relax. It's a phone. We all got our orders in and the phones are on their way. People fleeing Syria don't even know where they are going to sleep tonight or where they will spend the rest of their lives. Lets put this in perspective.
...but this is the best part, Buzz Killington. Listen, don't take me or anyone else here to task for enjoying a little group enthusiasm about something we all work hard to afford. We're adults, we have a few bucks and we're ordering and waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting) for that glorious little ray of sunshine to get hurled at our door by a frantic delivery guy.GOOD LORD y'all have been chatty. I was probably too rough so I apologize. We're all enthusiastic here about Apple productsIt's not that I disagree with the "fun" aspect of checking our orders. What I was responding to--not so well I guess--was the back and forth of people telling others what they *know* will happen, when the fact is no one does.
Perhaps I said too much--my bad then...carry on.
Nothing we write will change what will happen tho!
Cheers!
They probably tell us what we don't want to hear on purpose to laugh about it later. Im pretty sure they know nothing. No worries, I shouldn't have ranted about the refugees. That was dumb. I'm sorry for that!
But I was wondering that too! Like do the AT&T reps get a kick out of giving vague and conflicting answers B & C when they all know for sure the answer is A but that telling people B & C doesn't do any harm but do it just to amuse themselves? Or are they just too damned busy answering some legit and most non-legit/worry-wart questions to even give a hoot? They probably don't know for sure either--they probably get conflicting info themselves.
