I feel a little better after venting to several poor CS agents, but still extremely angry.

Yes, it's a phone. Mine works fine. I can wait. But when someone behind me in "line" gets theirs first, they have stock to send to stores, and I don't have a tracking # yet, there's a problem.

You know whats interesting is the AT&T store near my house has the phone you were wanting, 64 gb silver 6s+ right?. Of course not the one I wanted though, that would be too easy...
 
AT&T covered their butts with the dates BUT if others who ordered early aren't getting phones but yet people who ordered a lot later ARE getting phones on launch day, that's not acceptable.

This exactly. If no one else had gotten 64gb silver+ (especially people who ordered 2 entire days AFTER I did), and if I hadn't held one in my hand at the store that wouldn't sell it to me with my current plan, I wouldn't be mad.

Add to it being blocked by their twitter account, lied to by numerous CS reps who couldn't even get a straight story, told by a manager at retentions that if I wanted to I could cancel my current order, then re-order and go to the end of the line....

I'm trying to give information to those who are frustrated about what's happening. Sitting on this forum complaining about what's happened isn't going to fix the issue for next year's launch. You are right about the dates. AT&T covered their butts with the dates BUT if others who ordered early aren't getting phones but yet people who ordered a lot later ARE getting phones on launch day, that's not acceptable. I like being proactive. I'm all about taking action and making voices heard. Sorry if that offends you....

AT&T even told us that some would get their phones early but not everyone. We all took that gamble.

Not going to win any friends today but it's the truth.

Complain here, yes, but complaining to AT&T is futile. They warned us.

Oh, the AT&T store I went to this morning had one, too. But they wouldn't sell it to me and keep my existing plan.

This is the first time I had Next for the upgrade. I went through the Apple order process. It verified I was eligible for the upgrade since 12 payments were made and then went through some more screens. When it looked like I was about done a screen came up with a message about not being able to retrieve my AT&T Next contract. Strange since the order process already verified eligibility. Anyways, nothing I can do about that now. Apple is really evil, that they can make products and an annual process that makes us go crazy about getting an iPhone. I have the 6+ so it's not like I am using a really old phone or anything ;-)

Actually no. I've been in this thread since the beginning and I was ready and did accept that I wouldn't get my phone until October 16 to 23.

It came early. Lucky me? Probably.

They never promised me it would be today. Never. I clicked the Order button knowing it had an October date on it like the rest of you, so...

I like how you don't reply as to why later orders are shipping sooner than earlier orders. Guess you have no smart-ass answer for that...shut down.

Why is there so much baseless speculation and prognostication on this thread that has zero, ZERO, evidence to back it up?

Sorry to rant on you, nothing personal, but no one except AT&T really knows what is going on...and they are not telling us anything!
Someone needs to calm down...

As long as someone starts with "my guess" I think they are framing things correctly. He isn't like that guy claiming to be have inside info from an AT&T employee.

All I know is AT&T didn't break any written promises here.

In black and white for all who ordered to see, they gave us October dates.

Just got home from visiting two different ATT stores. First one, no luck with a 64 Silver S+. Last one had ONE in stock, came to set me up... And said they couldn't go through with it because of my preorder, and cancelling would take days to process. Impatient me remains empty handed. :(

And THAT right there is whats gonna keep me waiting. I didn't know cancelling a pre order took days, **** that. I'll wait for the next two weeks if I have to. Will I like it? definitely not. Will I keep complaining? yes. But with the color I chose I know there's no way I'll be finding one in store.

The fact that people who ordered late are getting their phones first is proved by screen grabs. I guess you like being lied to or dealing with incompetent companies.
 
This is bull$hit! This is the first time I have ordered from ATT and I am giving serious consideration to moving to a new carrier for the next phone. At this point all of us that stayed up until midnight for the 6+ are not gonna get our phones until a week from now.

I feel like canceling all my three lines too. What carrier would you move to?

For those who ordered phones before 3am or close to 3am and yet aren't receiving tracking information, this isn't acceptable. Why are folks who pre-ordered much later getting phones? Congrats to those who did but for those who didn't.......

That sucks :( The store I went to said cancelling was no problem and would only take a few minutes. But they wouldn't sell it to me with my current wireless plan :(

Definitely not counting on getting it next week, just been saying & thinking that would be great. At this point I'm actually foreseeing an October date.
 
I'll chime in here too regarding the 10/16-10/23 expectation. The problem is that I waited up until 3:00 AM to order the phone (order went through just before 3) with the expectation of getting it on launch day. Only after placing the order (which was delayed because they said my shipping address formatting didn't match USPS, so thanks for adding time for that nonsense) did I see the mid-October timeframe. And what am I going to do, as someone purchasing subsidized, cancel? I can't get the 2 year contract price through any other means.

That's annoying, but fine. That's the date that was set after ordering. But then we start seeing people that had that date getting shipping notifications - the expectation changes because we know AT&T put a ******** date up to cover their ass. Then people that ordered after us are getting their phones? What? They've been terrible at communicating with customers to boot. On top of all that, we now have to hold on to my wife's 5S for longer, causing it to lose value, while waiting on the new phone to come in. So, in effect, we're losing money because of having to wait.
