Also, we can stop calling it speculation. It has been confirmed that the 6+s in Pink Gold is limited in quantity and Apple hasn't supplied carriers with many. Here's somewhat the good news : Factories in China are trying to meet the demand so that Apple can fulfill carrier pre orders.

Well, that is a speculation at best. But, then, if it is true AT&T did try to shaft Apple by restricting 2yr contract sales to AT&T only.

How would that shaft Apple? Apple still gets its money whether on Sep 24th or Oct 16th - one way or another. The only ones getting the shaft are the consumers, isn't it?

No they told me if I canceled my order online I would take some time to reactivate my upgrade status. And I wouldn't be able to walk out that day with one they had unless I opened another line. They may have just told me that because a lot of people would try to the the same. Im not sure.
Thats odd, I pre-ordered a 6s regular first because I panicked about the ship dates. An hour late I realized how stupid I am and that I want the plus, cancelled the regular and a minute later ordered the plus. The upgrade came right back. I'm in the preparing to ship/pending crew with everyone else.

Just a side question, does anyone who ordered through ATT last year provide the shipping carrier they use so we can also track when the day approaches.

Confirmed by who. I think it's all for buzz

I think if it's launch day it's usually FedEx. Mine was a week after and UPS.

You can set up free accounts with both that alert you if a package addressed to you is coming. Again, we probably hammered their servers mercilessly last year with refreshes looking to see if anything was on the way.

Maybe because you went to the apple store. I tried at the att store because i have the granfathered data plan. I wanted to keep that. I don't remember all the details but I know they didn't try to make it easy for me.

I can see that you're not going to listen to anybody ;)

I believe you are right even though some may not believe it ;)

Mine came fedex. Launch day arrival. (Although preorder info indicated it would ship two weeks later)

I have a pending charge on my CC from ATT for my phone (purchased it full price) , status says preparing to ship but my shipping estimate is still october 16-23. Because of the CC charge I'm hoping it gets to me by launch day :0

FedEx was the shipper for my phone last year but I know some people had UPS too

It was a mix but mostly 6+. I'm going to say this again, some of you folks who ordered the 6+s Pink Gold WILL get them on launch but it's so random. It's not based on who was first. I ordered my 6 plus at 255 am last year and got shafted. But folks who ordered at 4am got 6+ phones on launch day
It's most likely based upon delivery to the warehouse that fills your order and not based on the time you ordered

I am confused. I'd like to understand why anybody actually needed to order through the AT&T site versus ordering direct from Apple.

This year I ordered from AT&T because it was online first. In all other years I have ordered direct from Apple. I have never lost my grandfathered unlimited data plan.

The only reason that might make sense is if the next plan requires that you get your phone directly from AT&T?
