(Regarding Upgrade Dates)

I just chatted with a Rep about upgrade dates:

AT&T : The contract on your number started this month. :) I can assure you of that. Would you like me to show you online?


Me : oh yes please! Another chat rep told me that the contract didn't start until it shipped!


AT&T : Thank you for waiting.


AT&T : I can understand what you mean. I am sorry about that.

Please make sure the myAT&T tab is selected on the orange bar at the very top of the page.

Directly beneath it should be a white bar, please hover your mouse over Profile, under the My Profile column, please click on Update my profile.


AT&T : On the Profile page, there should be three tabs saying Account Information, User Information, and Marketing Preferences.

Please click on the User Information tab and ensure that your upgraded number is selected. Then we can scroll down to see the Contract Information


Me : Great, yes 9/12/17, so full upgrade on this line will happen on that date for sure correct?


Me : and that number will not change/adjust once the phone ships?


AT&T : Yes, correct. :) Glad you are able to validate that

This was the biggest issue for me. Now that I know I will still be able to upgrade to the 7S on time, I feel much better about the whole thing, even if I don't get this phone until a week or 2 later.

This is not the case. If you start an order for the iPhone 6s Space Grey 64GB AT&T model at Apple, you see part# MKQ92LL/A. This part# cross-references to the A1633 model#.

Thanks. I started a pre-order with Apple but did not go far enough to get those numbers as they wanted to charge me a 15.00 upgrade/activation fee. Which being on Next pre 1 August 2015, I do not owe. nd don't want any hassle on removing it. I want the 128gb Plus. Where did you cross reference that?

Seeing the talk about long lines at either store, and just having a hip replacement, I may pre-order ATT. Will see if they show the 15.00. Not sure which company will get it to me faster at this point.

Tried ATT. Ship is now 27 Oct-3Nov. And it did not show pic of my phone on order screen. It showed 16gb and wrong color. Not even sure if that pic is suppose to be accurate.

You can still do Next through Apple but I think if you're Premiere you have to go through AT&T. I'm going to do mine through Apple or at least try.

I do believe I have ordered a subsidized iphone through Apple. Also, I am premier and have ordered direct from Apple.
 
It's very simple - If you have a premier (business) account, you can not order through Apple, period. No way shape or form. You can't even buy a phone outright because when it asks you to verify your ATT account it will come back and say that this account is not eligible to buy directly from Apple and to piss up a rope :D
Well I am premier through my employer and I can order. Must be different than your premier.

Then perhaps you are not a premier/FAN account. Now to be fair, this year I did not order through Apple but I did all the pre-purchase prep including connecting to my ATT account and never saw that message.

In fact, I have never seen a post mentioning that error in all the years I have been here.

I most certainly have a premier account...
 
I am confused. I'd like to understand why anybody actually needed to order through the AT&T site versus ordering direct from Apple.

This year I ordered from AT&T because it was online first. In all other years I have ordered direct from Apple. I have never lost my grandfathered unlimited data plan.

The only reason that might make sense is if the next plan requires that you get your phone directly from AT&T?

I ordered through AT&T site over Apple because AT&T offered the NEXT Plan option I wanted to use. I chose to pay 30% upfront and spread the remainder out over 24mos. Of course, I will pay off the balance well before then like I did with my 6.
 
I just ordered mine at Apple's website. I do some discount through Comcast but it let me do it and my deliver "week" is 10/13-10/20.

I WONDER IF MY PHONE WILL STILL ARRIVE 9/25??!?!?!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I don't know about everyone else, but I noticed some changes today on my order. To recap, I ordered at 2:45am EST. 128GB 6s Plus Gold from the AT&T website. Anyways, all along, it has shown the 10/16-10/23 ship dates. I just received a different confirmation email from AT&T, as well as changes in the order status. I've included two screen caps. The first one previously said nothing, now it shows "Preparing to ship." Second screen cap also had nothing, now says "pending shipment." Again, others may have the same thing, but I'm positive as of this morning, neither had these. Also as I said, I received another different confirmation from AT&T.

Saturday morning I did two orders with AT&T Premier. The first (6S, Rose Gold, 64GB) went through fine, got both emails and last night the text. This order says preparing to ship.

The second order (6S, Space Gray, 64 GGB) I never received the second confirmation, so I called Saturday afternoon and I was given the run around. I still haven't received a confirmation email or a text, and it hasn't progressed to preparing to ship. I call again this morning, and after being hung up on three times, I finally got an answer that yes there is something wrong with the order, but they don't know what. So it has been escalated and I'm waiting for a call back.

I had to order through AT&T to receive the subsidy. Hopefully I'll actually get a call back. Grrrrr
Yes I am quoting myself.

As an update, I never did receive a call, but I have received the confirmation email. So it looks like whatever the issue was it has been resolved.

When you see the carrier and the tracking number, that's the real movement. Changes this week I still think will be good news because that means orders are moving through the queue.

I have these same screens and ordered the Rose Gold version of the phone you did. Mine switched to those on Sunday, sometime during the night. I'm happy, too, because now I don't feel the need to check my status anymore, haha!

Definitely hoping that the 9/25 estimated delivery will stay and come true, so printed/screenshoted everything just in case. *fingers crossed*
 
Well I just ordered mine thru ATT. Next 12 Month, 128gb Plus, Space Grey. Don't want to deal with busy stores after surgery. Guess I should have ordered day one. :(

Mine says Del 27 Oct-3 Nov and is on Back Order atm

I ordered before 3am EST and got a order confirmation today with an expected ship date from 10/16-10/23.

ETA less than a minute after I hit submit I got a text from AT&T saying my order has been processed and will be notified when my order has shipped.

Yeah, I was torn between the 64gb and 128gb, but when I had my 32gb iPhone 5s (which was lost, unfortunately), I had my entire iCloud Photo Library (~50gb) optimized, and a bunch of games, apps, and iMessages, and still had ~10gb left over. So, I figured I probably would be okay on the 6s with 64gb. Am a bit nervous about the 4K videos, higher-res photos, etc. taking up more space, but I figure they'll be optimized once uploaded to iCloud anyway. Plus, iOS 9's focus is optimization on space, anyway, so 64gb should be fine.

Haha, no ripped movies to put on my iPhone. (Got a Kindle for that.) I'm not a heavy user, really... I don't even do any music - I'm deaf. What I mostly use my iPhone for: taking photos/videos, facetime, texting, Facebook, Internet browsing, playing some games, and checking email. That's pretty much it. I've always bought the mid-tier size. I would hate to pay ~$5 more per month for wasted space, you know?
 
I haven't gone back to read to see if this was posted here yet so forgive me if it was, but did you guys see this from another thread?

So, I ordered my Gold iPhone 6S Plus 128 GB this morning, and got the order confirmation and everything. Checked my status out of curiosity, and it says it's preparing for shipping. Did I get lucky?
