It will work, the statement on the specification page that they were thinking of states that it will not work with existing micro-SIMs. A nano-SIM should swap no problem.

So, just pop it in, so to speak, and you are good to go?

It is all looking pretty grim for us 6s+ folk, not sure how AT&T can cock things up so badly.
I wouldn't panic just yet. There's still over a week left before anyone sees any movement on their order. Last year, my shipping estimate from AT&T improved by 10 days in the week leading up to launch day. See this post. Even with that October shipping estimate last year, I still received my phone just 3 days after launch. Moral of the story: chill out.

I am not really that upset, whatever happens happens at this point. I am more aggravated that I have had to resort to ordering through AT&T with this nonsense.

I'm no where near upset either. The only thing that would upset me is if the phone delivers AFTER the 10/16 to 10/23 date that my order currently shows but it would be an LOL type of upset, as in I would have to laugh at the ridiculousness. I think I would only really be annoyed if it didn't ship until November.

I have a 6 Plus now so it's not like I don't know what I'm about to get my hands on--the color will be different (Gold) but we can update our OS at the end of next week right? That would make my 6 Plus feel like a new phone again, for a few days anyway. :D

iOS 9 drops tomorrow actually. I snagged the GM when it became available last week. You will like it.

Yes.. This is exactly like last year! Most of the ATT stores had no Gold 6 Plusses and very few 6 Plusses in other sizes and colors at all. The places people were lucking out were Best Buy, Radio Shack and Target Stores.

So, sounds like AT&T is at the bottom of the retail chain :0

Does anybody here know if ordering iphone 6s on Apple's website with a prepaid AT&T account (go phone) is possible if one chooses to pay in full? Has anyone done that?

As I mentioned on this thread a bunch of pages ago, because of AT&T's new term with Apple, only existing AT&T account holders who either pays the full retail or chooses the Next can order on Apple and all new customers who wants to order A1633(AT&T) has to order from AT&T directly.

Just wondering if I could get a gophone account and order with that account on apple.

p.s. additionally even if it is possible, will there be any complication to unlock the iphone 6s? It shouldn't be since it's fully paid, but I think I heard possibly having to wait a few months because of changing phones within the account.

I am confused. I'd like to understand why anybody actually needed to order through the AT&T site versus ordering direct from Apple.

The primary reason was I am using another member of my family shared plan's upgrade option, so I can get the 2-year price. :)

The status will show different messages depending on how you check it. If you check yours using https://www.att.com/eos/unauth/eosLogin then yours will probably (hopefully) say Preparing To Ship as well.
Yes! What are the chances that AT&T, being not as competent as Apple, would ship our phones earlier than the release date?

well for your order you'll most likely get it on release date. those of us with the 6S Plus orders are hopeful that they ship it earlier than their estimation. i've never preordered from AT&T before so i'm not entirely sure how accurate they are with their dates.

Picture please. Mine still says "In progress".

Mine says the same thing, sans the estimated delivery date. Not holding my breath.

Order status:
In progress
We're preparing your order, and we'll let you know once it's ready.
Your order is being prepared for shipping. If you placed order within the past 24 hours, some information may not be available yet.
Estimated ship dates:
October 16, 2015 - October 23, 2015

It's been said time and time again that last year people who ordered pluses had a later date and got it early or on release date.

Both Apple and AT&T will ship prior to the launch date. Last year, my order has held at UPS' DFW airport warehouse for five days before being released for delivery on launch day. The express carriers risk financial penalty if they deliver before the 25th.

I believe every launch there is supply constraints. Ie. Apple watch.

Absolutely, there are indeed!
I missed the launch date delivery with my Apple Watch despite pre ordering as soon as the Apple Store appeared on my computer/devices. And the date was not pushed up.

Yup, no one will get there phone before the 25th. I feel sorry for you guys. I went the ATT route last year and played this game and got mine 7 days after launch when i ordered at 11:52pm, 8 min early. Cause it was the 6+. I learned my lesson and went through Apple this time. Now i have a reservation for 8am at the apple store on the 25th to get my 6s+. Moral of the story: if you don't HAVE to go through ATT, don't. Apple will always be the better route. Trust me when i say this, don't check your order status 5 times a day, don't call ATT support, don't watch the planes come in from China hoping your phone is one of them. lol..I did it all last year and wasted days of my life on it when it didn't change the outcome of my phone getting here. I know the anticipation sucks and you feel like you have to find out when. But It will come when it comes. I wasted days of my life for no reason. But i will say, your Oct shipping dates will change. You will get yours before your actual shipping estimate. Just sign up for UPS my choice or whatever Fedex has and wait to see that little notification come. IF you have a middle of OCt ship est i bet it comes 3-10 days after launch. Good luck to you all, hope you get it asap.

3-10 days after launch, don't ever do ATT again if you want a launch date phone....
