you're likely to get it on launch day. the delays this year are mostly for the Plus models.I ordered a 128 Space Grey 6s on 9/17 around 11pm eastern and received an email saying
"Great news! We received your iPhone order and it is expected to be delivered on September 25, 2015. "
Is this at all a possibility or does AT&T find subtle to F with my emotions? After the Chaos of last year and ordering late I fully expected to get my phone a week or two after launch day not on launch day.
It's what we all hated about ordering through AT&T last year - the complete lack of information about your order literally until it ships. Of course, what "Preparing to Ship/Back-ordered/In Progress" means is "We don't even have the phone that we will eventually ship you yet and don't know when we will get it." It's why I ordered from Apple this year.I ordered mine, 2 year sub pricing. 64GB Space grey 6S Plus. I placed my order at 2:54 AM EST and received my confirmation email at 2:57 AM EST. October 16-23. I still have a pending charge though. It also says Preparing to Ship on one screen and In Progress on another... so who knows.
Lol - I JUST ordered my wife's silver 6s 128gb an HOUR ago and my order confirmation shows it will be delivered 9/25.
Just charged my card as well. Premier.
The ATT App isn't a problem at all.. In fact several of the iPhone 6 phones that DIDN'T come on opening day last year after promised were ordered from the website - not the app. People need to make sure they're clear about what they're reading and hearing.. The 6S PLUS has been over-sold. That's why you have the 'back order' type shipping dates. Apple has not released ANY phones to AT&T yet. Apple will look at ALL their Carrier stores orders and make a decision about how many to release to each store based on keeping their own (Apple) stores stocked to. At that point sometime early to mid next week - Apple will ship to AT&T (and Verizon, etc) and THEN, when ACTUAL product enters AT&T's computers, THAT'S when you'll see the mass changes in shipping dates.Just curious... did anyone ordered their iPhone 6S through the AT&t App? I ordered the 6S Plus 64GB Silver one from the app a couple minutes before it went live. I was happy I got to order so early, but my ETA is 10/16-10/23. My shipping status is "Preparing for Shipping." and there's been a "pending" charge on my account from the beginning. I've seen some order from AT&T's website much later than me that have said they are getting theirs on the 25th. I think ordering through the App was a mistake.
Carrier: AT&T
ETD: 10/16-10/23
Unit: 6s Plus, 64GB Silver

Those of you with October 3-9 will 99.9% get your phones on launch day. And most of you with that next week too.. All those shipping dates mean now is this:
1) You purchased a 6S Plus
2) what position in line you are to get your order filled. 10/3-10/9 people are ahead in line of those with the next week as their shipping date.
If people here have 9/25 delivery dates, and they're with AT&T, they have purchased a 6S.. NOT a 6S Plus. Even today - if you go online at AT&T you can order a 6S in rose gold and get it for launch day. There's simply a HUGE supply of 6S.

Are there really people with 10/3-10/9 shipping dates from AT&T for the 6s Plus? The earliest I've seen is the 10/16-10/23 group. The ATT App isn't a problem at all.. Correct, all I've seen thus far is 10/16-10/23. And the majority of them are 6S+. This happened to a cowrker last year for the 6 launch. He ordered later than average on preorder and his date was saying a few weeks after launch day. All in all, it changed last minute and he got his phone on launch. Also ATT and done online..Are there really people with 10/3-10/9 shipping dates from AT&T for the 6s Plus? The earliest I've seen is the 10/16-10/23 group.

It's not silly. It's fact. Just do some reading up on how it all works.. Though I probably should have said ATT doesn't have any actual PHONES from Apple yet. The shipping dates won't change until ATT gets physical phones from Apple. It is silly to think Apple hasn't allocated phones to carries yet. Those decisions were made a long time ago...figure 3+ million units are in play. Not waiting to "early to mid next week" to determine who gets what and how many.

Based on orders taken, you dolt. Don't be obtuse. It's clear you've never been in a retail business. Apple over sells just like the frickin airlines. Then they have to decide how to allocate the stock on hand. It's retail 101. I won't dignify continued interchange with someone who clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Its not a FACT. You really think At&T doesn't know how many phones they are getting at this point? Really? Think Tim Cook will sit down over his morning coffee next Tuesday and say "how many phones do I want to allocate to At&T...hmmm"
