I have always pre-ordered from AT&T Premier and I have always got my phone on launch day. Of course I always stay up until 3:01am EST to get right on as soon as the site goes live. This year it went live about 10 minutes early. So for those of us who have shipping dates for launch day (in fact my shipping date is for 9/24) I believe we will get our phones. Those who waited until stock got really low may not. Also depends on the model/color/storage. AT&T has never let me down, in fact they have delivered earlier than they were supposed to once! Keep you heads up!

Yea mine was 9/24 originally, but then got spontaneously deleted and a supervisor @ Premier said that he re placed order and got original spot back but now its been delayed. I'm speaking with AT&T on Twitter now.

What's AT&T premier?

Ordered minute website went active. Just got email at 6:21PM central that my 6s+ 128 space grey is delayed to the range of 10/20-10/27. Was originally 9/24. AT&T reps could not do anything. One supervisor said AT&T doesn't get phone till 2 weeks after Apple (moron). Will call AT&T Premier tmrw and post update.

What was your actual order time? I ordered the same phone but I, fingers crossed, haven't been delayed any further. I never had a 9/24 delivery date though and I'm surprised you did with a +.

I just got an email from att stating that there was an update on my account. Logged in and it's a contract outlining the terms for my wife's 64gn 6s space grey. Basically gives all the info like etf fees and such. I ordered a 64gb s+ and didn't get that email yet.
Edit: it looks like they are also charging me for both upgrade fees as well.

has anyone order start shipping already ???

Just got an Update from at&t my 128GB Rose Gold 6s Plus (I paid for and extended contract) is now SOLD OUT WHOOPS after having a confirmation for days and money taken from my Account. Also The delivery date Slipped to like 10-16

After an email to the CEO (yes I have his email not hard to find) His "secretary" supposedly reads them and delegates it to Executive Customer support (people who handles celebrities)

I am no celebrity But they are very Nice and have Alot of power. Long story short I'll be getting a 64GB 6s Plus for Free, and No 2 Year Contract Extension. But Still on 10-16 not 9-25 at&t literally never had any phone they just have "estimates"

Apple stores always get the bulk of the supply. ATT, Verizon T-Mobile and Sprint only get token supplies. Its always been that way

It's quite "surprising" that AT&T would give you a $1,000 phone for free, since there was no service failure. Your delivery date didn't "slip." October 16 was first confirmed delivery date for any AT&T 6s Plus Rose Gold preorder. Also, no money has been taken out of your account (only a credit card authorization or a debit card hold).

I would say it was well worth it. His iPhone was "sold out" after already taking his money and giving him a date. I think it was very fair for AT&T to give him a phone. I can't tell you how many times I've ordered something from eBay, money taken out, a tracking number placed, only to be told they no longer have the item. I contact eBay and they do nothing for me, or against the seller. I am extremely upset overtime I order something, and it's no longer for sale or they are sold out...but never updated their stock or do anything for taking my money aside from just 'giving it back'.

I would expect AT&T to give him the phone he ordered, or a severe discount or adjustment on his plan. As a consumer, that is what I would expect. As someone who works in retail, if you complain enough...you will get the world.

Everyone who ordered a plus directly from ATT will not get their phones until mid to late October due to a backlight panel issue. The problem is that Apple had a supply chain problem with the backlight panel manufacturer for the plus. What panels they did get, they put into the Verizon/sprint plus model (A1687), and the China model (A1699), and none into the ATT model (A1634). Everyone who ordered ATT directly from Apple, and some other outlets, will get model A1687 on launch day, since that model can also work on ATT network.

Out of pure curiosity, how do you know which models and supply chains were affected...? lol

Makes 100 percent sense because the Plus model is shipping from China (what we have seen on the forums) whereas the regular 6S seems to be shipping from the U.S. (I.e. they've had stock a long time waiting).

Doesn't really matter, you would just doubt me if I told you. Anyway, just giving you all a heads up. If you ordered any plus from ATT directly, settle in for a wait. The problem is that ATT will only sell that A1634, and since non got backlight panels, well, there you go. Kind of sad though, they could have shipped some A1687s to fill the gap. The only difference in the phones is that A1634 has LTE band 30. Other than that, they are the same phone.

Go for it, it's the Internet. Everything is possible, right?

According to one of his seven posts over the past 4 years (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/att-iphone-5-pre-order-thread.1441041/page-38#post-15703659), his cousin works for AT&T. So my guess is that this is his "source." To me, it seems that he or his "cousin" simply read the headline about 6s+ backlight production problems last week and fabricated their own story to explain why AT&T 6s+ orders are delayed. If you purchase an AT&T phone from Apple, you're going to get the AT&T version. Stop spreading nonsense.
