So I ordered at on 9/22 1:07am PST, but due to a website error my card was charged 5 times in 1 minute $2000 so Wells Fargo canceled the order. ... long story short after hours of phone complaining my order went through at 3:10am instead shows estimates oct 16... but still says preparing to ship. btw I did the 2 year commitment $399 Splus and originally it charged my card, but ever since they correct the error I haven't seen a charge anyone else have their card charged or see a date?

My card was charged immediately when the order went through Saturday morning but fell off about Wednesday or Thursday and hasn't been charged sense for my phone. I ordered a 6s (not plus) in rose gold so I'm still hopeful that I will get it on launch day, I just wish they would tell us something

I am in the same boat. My charge fell off yesterday.

is there any difference between preparing to ship and in progress (which is what my account has said for quite a while)?

My order through AT&T actually changed dates for the better.

I ordered on 9/16 at about 9:30pm, and my original ship date was Oct. 27 - Nov. 3rd (YIKES)

Yesterday I recieved an email and they said that the ship date changed to Oct. 20-Oct.27th.

I ordered a 6S+ 128gb Space Black

I've seen no movement on my order. I got my order in at 2:51 am EST for a 128 gb Grey 6+. It's been "Preparing to ship" since the beginning. We'll see on Friday I guess.

I read online that those customers who are receiving their iPhones this Friday started getting notices on Saturday. I hope you get yours soon :)

Great! That's good news for you!
Now if only some of the ones scheduled for Oct. 16 - Oct. 23 moved up a bit ;)

Customers that ordered through AT&T?
Probably the people that ordered from Apple or the other carriers. My order shows a ship date of 9/24 with overnight shipping, so I don't know why people are expecting them to ship earlier than that. The different providers use different methods of shipping. Same thing happens every year.

This is my first year preordering so I don't know what happened last year. I just don't understand why every other carrier is sending out tracking info and shipping notices except for AT&T.

Doesn't really matter, you would just doubt me if I told you. Anyway, just giving you all a heads up. If you ordered any plus from ATT directly, settle in for a wait. The problem is that ATT will only sell that A1634, and since non got backlight panels, well, there you go. Kind of sad though, they could have shipped some A1687s to fill the gap. The only difference in the phones is that A1634 has LTE band 30. Other than that, they are the same phone.

I believe that they were just asking for the source of your information.
If I made such a statement I would be prepared to state my source.

See my previous post, right here, when someone asked about a statement I posted here.

The article mentioned Apple customers as well as those who ordered through a carrier.

"Ahead of an official iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus launch on Sept. 25, Apple and partner wireless carriers began informing preorder customers on Saturday that their devices are now in transit, scheduled to arrive on Friday."

So I just called AT&T to see if they knew anything about when they were supposed to ship and make sure everything was good to go on my order and they said that for the rose gold 6S it won't be delivered until 5-7 days after it ships. So I likely won't get it on launch day Friday. The wait for the Rose gold 6S+ is 7-14 days after it ships.

Just thought I'd share to keep i mind that ATT Reps seem to have no idea what they are talking about. I was told I would lose my two year contract by rep #1 and NEXT would increase my bill by $40. Rep #2 said I could 2 year commit, but couldn't pre-order until the 23rd when my contract expired. Rep #3 said that i could preorder at anytime from the beginning of the month, and keep my 2 year commit and plan. So the point of the story is, you have to call and ask at least 3 different people at ATT in order to get the correct answer. They have no clue.

Yea I know. Im hoping it wasn't true and that I will still get it on launch day. It just sucks knowing pretty much nothing and getting conflicting answers on what should happen this week.

Yep, we'll see. In the meantime, I'd suggest that everyone read the last few pages of the att.com thread that I linked to above to see what he provides as "proof." I wouldn't normally confront a troll like this, but this guy is so obviously full of s*** and it's really ticking me off. Just google his username and take a look at his Disqus profile for more instances of trolling.

What you said makes sense.

I mentioned in an earlier post it is my belief the AT&T orders are shipped from here in the USA so the tracking will be much shorter. Other carriers are shipping from China, so the delivery takes longer and the tracking information comes sooner.

These orders say they are shipping 9/24 and arriving 9/25. You can either trust that and relax or worry about it and repeatedly call AT&T and post here. If the ship date says 9/24 then don't expect tracking or any update on 9/20! If you want to devote yourself full time this week to worrying about shipping then you can pull up last year's threads and see the exact same story as far as shipping and other carriers reporting tracking sooner.

I'm sorry to call you out, and maybe you really do have some super-secret insight about Apple and AT&T, but I'm really just not buying it. If I'm wrong and you're right, that's fine, and I'll come back here next week and apologize. I have an AT&T 6s+ reserved at an Apple Store in addition to my AT&T Premier order. So if my AT&T order doesn't ship before launch day, I'll go into the Apple Store and pick up whatever phone they've reserved for me. If that phone ends up being a Sprint/Verizon/T-Mobile model that just so happens to work on AT&T, then I'll bite my tongue.

Just have to remember what's really important in life. At the end of the day, it's just a material object that isn't going to change anyone's life.

Great! Please come back and let us know which order (Apple or AT&T Premier) shipped first :)

Thanks. I needed to hear this. I can't control when it is delivered anyway. I might read those threads to understand the process a bit better though.

This is what mine says:

"Order status:
In progress
We're preparing your order, and we'll let you know once it's ready.
Your order is being prepared for shipping."

Confusing, huh?

Oh yeah, my estimated ship date remains . . . Oct. 16 - Oct. 23
I still find it confusing that they use the statements "In progress" and "being prepared for shipping" in the same vein.
