I have a question. And sorry if someone asked before, why are all the other carriers getting phones on launch and ATT is having issues getting phones to folks on the 25? I peaked at other carrier threads and people seem to have tracking numbers etc?

They don't like the answer because Apple and every other carrier seems to have had 6+ stock available.

I just left the Apple Store at Kenwood Towne Center and they said that number of 6s Plus' (not pre orders but for the rest) will be very limited this Friday.

I hope I don't sound naive...but I just logged onto my ATT account and for the same number I found 2 items shipped...today. I have not ordered anything besides 1 iPhone 6s at 3:08 a.m. on 9.12 Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 4.41.43 PM.png . Does anyone know what Various SVC is?

For AT&T one may be the phone and the other the SIM card. For some reason they do that even thought the SIM is pre-installed.

We also have proof that last year people with October dates got their phones in September release date. Not everyone but some might

My iPhone 6S plus pre order says "preparing to ship" but still has the October 16-23 ship date? What does this mean?

Honestly, I think all of them are preparing to ship. Some are closer to the actual shipping then others but even the late October phone could be preparing to ship; just longer to get there. LOL

I'd be utterly shocked if no one got a phone from AT&T on Friday. They have to have some phones. The real question is how many, everything else is really irrelevant. Do they have 1000 phones to ship or is it 1,000,000? That's obviously the whole reason to get up at 2am to get your order in and why your confirmation has the exact time the order was placed. Phones will surely be going out in order they were ordered. Hopefully everyone on here that really cares ordered early enough to get in that launch day shipping wave. Next time I will definitely place my order through Apple directly.

I ordered a 6s+ and I went to check my order thru logging in and a second account number popped up under orders. I get an error when I try to access it.

Apple reported that they sold 10 million iPhones on pre-order night. My guess is that about 1 million of them are allocated to AT&T carrier stores. Of that million phones my guess is that 70% of them were 6S+ orders - of which they can only fulfill half those orders on launch day with their allocated stock from Apple. Which means not many people will be receiving 6S Plus on launch day. I sure hope I'm wrong.

And by next year there won't be any two-year contract… So everybody can go to the Apple Store who really wants it on launch day.

My att still "order proccessing" . Att can proccess it whatever they want. My Apple order is shipped and is the USA already. I don't get phones I sell my UDP online and will be throttled at 21 gig, not 22.

It's my first year ordering via AT&T (in order to keep the 2yr subsidy), and it honestly takes so much out of the pre-order experience when you have nothing to track and no updates!

This is why I have been impatient mostly. We are all just sitting here waiting for ATT to get around to sending us any sort of information.

So I just looked up my 6 Plus' serial on that website. It was made week 37 of last year. 9/8 - 9/14, pretty much the week of the pre-order. It was shipped on 9/25 to me from AT&T's warehouse.

So my question is, of course, what was it doing between 9/14 and 9/25? Presumably, as soon as it was finished at FoxConn it made the ride from China to the US almost immediately. So did it sit in AT&T's warehouse waiting for a pair of hands to toss it in a box for me? Maybe they don't have enough employees to move quickly through a couple million orders and they just have to wait.

Yeah. Wish we could have warned you. No tracking fun with ATT last year either. The 2yr contract force to ATT site/app was a real drag this year..

I've actually had a change of heart midstream.. in that since I already have a 6 (and a 6S safely on its way confirmed for 25th) -since then I've thought - one way I can get the feeling of a REDESIGN in an 'S' year - is to jump to 6S Plus. Even though that monstrosity barely fits in my hand.. I think I might want it anyway.. So since I have a little room on my credit card - I'm gonna try the Best Buy thing... AH -- but how to get a subsidy price.. Well none of my other lines are 2yr contract worthy.. hmmm.. So NEXT?? Okay.. so I walk around for 2 weeks and try both phones.. Start a new line with NEXT? Upgrade one of my kids lines to NEXT?.... Well I got off the phone today with ATT and they assured me that if I have 'buyer's remorse' -- WITHIN 14 DAYS (I thought it was 30)... Then I can return one of the phones and whichever line was upgraded - will go back to its 'non upgraded statues'..

So though I'll be making a real mess out of my account for 14 days.. I'll be able to try both..

The question is - to try this pre-order with Best Buy or try a stand in line at Apple Store in my little mall in the Philly area. I've always been able to be one of the first 20 people in line most years I stood in line. without a camp out too. The Mall stores don't allow camp outs. I just arrive at 7am for an 8:00 am opening.. The Best Buy thing is a surer bet to get a 6S+.. But Apple Store line is more exhilarating! LOL

How did you find your future phones serial number???

Ok I'm literally on the phone with someone at att and they are claiming they can move my place in line up. Hmmmm.....
