12:04 AM - Oct 16-23 Delivery Date.
I wish Chase would follow USAA's lead, as Chase cancelled my order because they thought it was fraudulent. So, I had to go back into the AT&T site and that ordered processed at 3:30AM EST. I will have to reference USAA's approach when I chew out Chase on Monday.

Chase denied my order too.. But it still went through. I approved the order and (fortunately) AT&T tried again. I got the confirmation email, and Chase shows the full charge on my account. (sigh)

Ordered my 128GB RG 6S+ at 12:05am MST through the AT&T app. The app and the order process was flawless, no issues at all. Expected delivery is the week of Oct 16. I don't mind if I get the phone within a week of launch day.

I don't understand the AT&T app. When I tried it, it just brought up Safari and the mobile version of AT&T's website. So not sure what this did for anyone.

Ordered 6S Gold 64gb, with an estimate shipping date 9/24... Going to try to get the upgrade fee waived if possible..

Anyone not get a confirmation email? I got an order number and I'm able to check the order status fine. Also my credit card was charged correctly. Just wondering if some people aren't getting confirmation emails.

So the three emails I got from AT&T and three emails I got from my CC are not confirmation?

What does a confirmation email look like?

Honestly not sure what's up with AT&T's ship time got my order in super early for my 6s + 64GB Space Grey and still got the 10/16-10/23 ship date.

Yeah it's gonna say that for a while. AT&T is crazy. You will check two different sites and get two different statuses ("In Progress/Preparing to ship" or "Back ordered"). And it means nothing until one of them mentions the carrier that will be delivering the phone and it will come out of the blue.

i can see my order "preparing to ship" in one page but when i click on order details it says "can't find order"... why? maybe because i am att premier and it sucks? :(

All of you October people at least appear to be in a better position to actually get something. I ordered a 128 rose gold 6s and both in app and on website, and online it doesn't have an order details section and in the app it says zero items in my order. Have no clue what it means. Anyone else in the same boat?

One is probably the SIM card. (added pic of order from two years ago)

You status looks more promising than my 6s Plus 64GB that went thru at 3:30AM EST

Order status: In progress
We're preparing your order, and we'll let you know once it's ready.
Your order is being prepared for shipping. If you placed order within the past 24 hours, some information may not be available yet.
Estimated ship dates:
October 16, 2015 - October 23, 2015
Not sure why you think the other pre order status looks more promising. Unless I missed something the time frames for delivery are the same.

I'm having regrets on my full price T-Mobile version phones.

If you place an order direct with AT&T with subsidy, is it cancelable for a few days like Apple.com, or no?

Yes. When I went back to check I did see an option to cancel. Placed the order around 5 am and saw the "cancel" option today (same day) around 9 am.

Anybody have any luck talking to a human representative lately? What are the wait times?

I wish Chase would follow USAA's lead, as Chase cancelled my order because they thought it was fraudulent. So, I had to go back into the AT&T site and that ordered processed at 3:30AM EST. I will have to reference USAA's approach when I chew out Chase on Monday.

So Cap 1 declined my order with ATT due to fraud alert. I got an email from Cap1 and confirmed the charges but it was still declined. Then Got an email from ATT to reconfirm my charge card. So I called Cap1 and made sure they would not decline again. Then followed the ATT reconfirm process. Then called ATT and confirmed the reconfirm. 14 hours later I got my email saying all is good. Also see the charge on my card.

Don't know why your process was any different. Did emails go to spam?

"Back ordered" is normal for AT&T almost right up until they ship it. If I remember correctly, when you call the number and it changes from 'back ordered' to 'processing', you'll get a confirmation within 24 hours or so that it's shipped.
Mine says preparing to ship.

Mine says preparing to ship.
Yeah mine said that too on the main site. In green. And it said that every day until it actually shipped. Until it changes from 'back ordered' to 'processing' on the phone line it hasn't shipped. It's not even in AT&T's hands until probably early next week.

I looked at the Preparing to ship status a being further along the process than my In progress status. However, now that I think about it (and read the "Understanding your order status" definitions on AT&T's website), the Preparing to ship status may be validating the Oct delivery dates. Where my In progress status with an Oct delivery dates could be interpreted as changeable with the Sept launch date as a possibility.

I did call AT&T this afternoon and all they could do was confirm what I see on the AT&T website. They could not explain why earlier, at 5:00 AM, their automated system gave me two (2) different order numbers, which no longer exist anywhere (maybe I was dreaming them due to a lack of sleep).

At 4AM ET I reached someone at ATT and at CAP1. So I'd say pretty damn good for a Saturday.
I spent 30 minutes with someone trying to tell them I got an email from att about my order. I don't know what she was thinking.

It was the fact that Chase flat out cancelled/ declined my order by stating it was a fraudulent transaction to AT&T. This required me to go back to the AT&T website and start over 40 minutes later. From my understanding, the experience from the USAA customer was that everything was placed on hold (meaning they did not cancel/ decline the order) on the Bank side. USAA waited until the customer contacted them before taking action on the payment request from AT&T. This prevented the USAA customer from having to start the order process over and thus lose their place in the digital line (unlike me). I just feel the USAA process as described is more customer focused where my experience with Chase (and yours) was more Bank focused.

Folks, I don't have AT&T account but want to pre-order iphone 6s with AT&T to get the model A1833. Verizon and Sprint option give you option to create a new account, but why AT&T isn't? Am I missing something here?

And is there a difference btw ordering at Apple store vs at AT&T? I heard there is, things like types of SIM coming in. I called AT&T and they told me I needed to have a phone create an account and I can't just open one with a random phone since it take a few months before I can change account to the iphone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Will you be porting a number over to the new iPhone or will you be starting new (i.e. having AT&T issue you a new number). You should be able to do either on the AT&T website and on the Apple website. If I did not have to use the AT&T site due to my grandfathered plan I would have purchased through Apple (like I have for my last three (3) iPhones). if you want an iPhone 6s on launch day, you may still be able to get one through the Apple website. If you want an iPhone 6s Plus (based on the MacRumors front page) you might be better off standing in line on launch day at an Apple store.
