Carrier AT&T Next Upgrades 2015 [MERGED]

I would suggest for ease if you plan to pay off the payments to do it now online through your ATT account. I just did it and it only took a min for the payment to process and 5 min later my upgrade eligibility says eligible now (instead of you must pay off the remaining 12,18,24 or pay in full message).

It may make things much smoother later tonight.

FYI I have a 64GB iphone 6 and on the Next 18 and paying $31.25/month and was up to payment 12. It made no sense to pay them $187.50 and have to give back the phone versus pay it off for $375.

For the $375 I just paid I guarantee I can resell it for $450 (maybe more); instead of paying $187.50 AND trading in the phone. It's a ripoff if you have the money to pay it off and resell it.

Even if I only get $400 in a worst case scenario, Im still up $25 versus being down $187.50.

Does anyone here know how I can tell if Express Checkout is enabled on my Apple.com account? I can see my credit card and shipping info but nowhere does it say I have Express Checkout enabled.

For the benefit of others here, it has been theorized that apple pay replaced express checkout due to the Amazon 1click fiasco.

Just got off the phone with ATT and my head is spinning -- I am eligible for a contract subsidy if I wait until October and just re up for 2 years. Or, I can just pay in full for a new phone -- is my bill less if I do that? Or do Next, or do Apple installment plan. Using my math it all works out to the same price no matter what. it's just lease vs buy, no economic difference. Am I missing something? I mean the subsidized phone works out to additional charges on your bill per month, yes? What on earth should I do? Mainly I just want the damn phone NOW -- I am such a child!

I've been all over the map the last 48 hours.. I've been living in the iPhone forum here, and on the phone with Apple, at&t, ..Online with T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.. I don't think there's any massively better way to go here.. If I wanted another 2 year contract, I was told the ONLY way is the AT&T website, but I've heard negative stories about their website and people ordering online and they screw it up.. I've always ordered from Apple, I know what that experience is, I know what to expect.

Changing carriers may save a bit, but I think it's a major hassle and probably more trouble than it's worth.. I thought about just buying the phone outright.. But when I went to the iPhone Apple Store app, I was able to go through the process and was offered the AT&T NEXT plan which lets me keep my grandfathered data, AND AT&T phone support says it gives me a lower bill (somewhat)

I'm thinking this is going to be the least disruptive path, I don't have to do a separate credit check with Apple, I don't have to go to the Apple store for that, and I can pick the phone up at the Apple store if I want to do that. And I don't have to be so heavy out of pocket up front.

Plus ordering from Apple I'm sure to get the exact phone I want (so long as I get in early enough lol)

Use the Apple Store App, click on "Get Ready to Order iPhone 6s" in the blue banner at the top, and follow the steps to see if you're eligible to upgrade. This morning, before I paid it off, it told me how much $ I had left to pay before paying it completely off. I logged onto ATT website this evening, paid it off, and then checked a few minutes later. Apple's store was already updated with AT&T information.

Okay, interesting when I go to the Get Ready Now option in the app it gives me the option of Remember Me for my line (which is not eligible) but I can't do Remember Me for my wife's line (which is upgrade eligible) despite that both lines are on my account.

"This line may be eligible for an upgrade after 0 more installment payments. you must trade in your current att next device etc"

Same for me just paid off and apple is giving me the future date like that picture and att is saying my line is not eligible for an upgrade.

I dont think we'll have a problem as I went through the steps to order a 6 and it prompted me to select a next plan and said I was eligible

It will go live, but it's just a reservation for an in store appointment on the 25th. You wouldn't be placing an order tonight.

I just recently got some POS phone its in the mail via next i paid it off and they said i need to activate that phone before i can upgrade again even though i paid it off already smh whatever ill just add a line.

I get an error when I try to check upgrade options on the AT&T site. I hope I don't have this problem with the preorder.
