I ordered 8 plus space gray 256gb and it went to preparing for shipment today and I ordered it around 2pm EST Friday
Mine is still showing Preparing to Ship, been in that status since around noon today.
Not yet. I came here wondering if anyone got a "Shipped" notice also. Still says "Preparing for Shipment"
I went way back to posts from my 2014 shipment. I got it Sept 25th 2014...many others did also. Looks like these left ZhengZiouu, China. 9/22/2014 making a few stops in Korea, Anchorage on then Louisville 3 days.
If these are coming from ZhengZiouu, China again, I would think we'll start seeing "Shipped" status maybe as earlier as late tonight, early tomorrow? Just a guess.
Sooo back to the 7 att next trade in deal.
I traded in my 6 last year for $650 in credits toward the 7+.
Just wondering how this will work if I want to buy an X next month. Most have said if you trade it in or pay it off- you lose the rest of the trade in credits (about $325 at this point).
I'm sure some buying the 8 have seen what happens with this.
If I buy the X outright or do the Apple iPhone upgrade program I'm guessing that I can just keep paying off the 7+ and keep getting the credits. What happens if I sell the 7+ though? Can I still make payments on a phone I no longer have?

ATT told me that the payment plan must stay active to keep getting the monthly credits. I am going to buy the X via the Apple payment plan and sell the iPhone 7 as ATT locked and keep making the payments. Hope that works.
I ordered two 8+ on the 12th around 10:00am CST. My Space Gray is Preparing to ship/still says deliver 22nd. My wifes silver says in progress/still says sept 22nd. Wondering how far along the process preparing to ship is vs. in progress?
I wouldn't worry about "In Progress" status. I've seen these jump from In Progress to Prepared to Ship to Shipped within 1, 2 hours.

Okay, good to know. Thanks! Also, a correction, I ordered these on the 15th, not the 12th. Wouldn't want anyone to think I was able to get a jump on things!
If you no longer have a 7 on your plan (because you sold it), you may no longer get the credits. Best to check with AT&T and/or read the T&Cs.

I see on the other threads, there are a few with Sprint, many with Verizon, few on T-Mobile the phones have shipped. They got the emails this morning, tracking numbers. One Verizon user posted his is in Memphis TN already, some located in a PA warehouse for Friday delivery.

I have an Apple watch with UPS tracking that left HK at 03:52 and an ATT iPhone 8 (UPS track by reference, using phone number) that also left HK at 03:52.

Wow, this is a dead thread for sure. Has anyone seen any tracking numbers yet? Seems like all the other carriers and Apple are having them show up. What is up with AT&T?
Mine has been "Preparing to Ship" since early Monday, still shows a delivery date of Friday, my credit card has not yet been charged, I haven't been able to locate anything by trying various numbers as a reference, and nothing shows up in UPS MyChoice as heading to my house. That is about all I know. I'm starting to get a bit anxious as I took a vacation day Friday to stay home to receive it when it comes.
I signed up for a free UPS account several years ago. Now when packages are coming to my house I get a notice from them. The other benefit is that I can, if I want, have them hold the package at their main center that is only 10 minutes away and pick it up in the morning. I have in the past seen a line for iPhone's but generally its pretty easy. No waiting around all day. Maybe still take the day off but have the phone first thing in the morning.
I’m not skeptical that my phone won’t arrive, it’s been sitting with a 9/22 delivery since I placed my order on 9/15. However, looking back at my 6s and 7 purchases, I received the shipping email on the Wednesday before at around 3 in the morning. Hopefully everybody will be getting shipping confirmation emails today!
Mine still says preparing to ship. It’s been that way since Sunday or Monday. I’m getting kinda worried even though it still says delivered by the 22nd.
I just ordered mine (64GB space grey) on AT&T and it said it would be here on Friday. I just assumed that they'll be shipping overnight on Thursday.
