Carrier AT&T Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

The credit card will authorize but the amount might drop off because ATT doesn’t finalize the charge until the order ships so that may be why you don’t see it. Also, I always get my phones via FedEx so the UPS My Choice doesn’t apply. Maybe that’s why you stuff isn’t showing there. Just a thought :) mind has been in the same status as your since Monday as well
 
I just went through the Essential Phone release. I doubt Apple could screw up this launch as bad as Essential if they tried.

Mine is in Louisville Ky at UPS Worldport. Have tracking # and all. Apple website shows preparing to ship though. I work for UPS and have the opportunity to use our priority tracking software though to be able to see much more tracking info than most others.

That's exciting! Mine is still preparing to ship. Hoping to get the tracking number today.
 
I'm in no hurry. :)

I set up a new iMac last week from scratch and between that and iOS 11 on my iPad I have tech overload.

I find setting up a new phone stressful. :eek:

The 8 is not rare this year. Stop worrying, you'll all get yours on time, even from the carriers.
 
I know last year when I did the *6737# and the status said backorder (even though the website says preparing to ship) that the tracking number was coming and I got the tracking number on Thursday

Two of my 3 phones (upgrading 3 lines) have moved back to “In Progress” in the last hour after “preparing to ship” since Monday. Delivery date of 9/22 still has not changed. That’s either encouraging that something might finally be happening, or discouraging that the status has gone backwards a step. Interestingly, it is the two 8+ models that changed. The 8, which is the one I ordered last, I the one still saying “preparing to ship”.
 
I still don’t understand why this extra thing is on my order. I know some people say it’s a SIM or the return box/label since I’m doing a trade in but wouldn’t it be the same status of the phone? :confused:

I have that as well, but they are listed with the phones, not with a separate status. It only appears on my trade-ins. My 3rd one is a new upgrade to AT&T Next (upgrading a 5s for my mom) and it does not show the extra item.
