One little benefit of the extra month's wait for the X is that those of us who used Next 24 last year and pre ordered would have one more payment due in Sept due to be able to trade in at the 12 month mark.

But now you'll pay your 12th payment (50%) here in September's bill. By the time you pre Order end of October no one will have to call AT&T the day or two ahead to "pay off" anything. .

In fact most of us will have paid a 13th payment for Oct. Wonder how AT&T will deal with that? Give us a lower payment on our X??

Knowing AT$T, they'll probably just pocket it.

I highly doubt they will lower anything. I sell mine anyways so it’s all the same.

I am trying to pre order the iPhone 8+ though apple store app but it does not give me option for att 30 month next plan and it only says 24. Is it not possible to do ATT 30 month next thorough the app ?

AT&T only has two NEXT plans now..

-AT&T Next: With $0 down, you'll pay 30 monthly installments.

-AT&T Next Every Year: With $0 down, you'll pay 24 monthly installments.

I'm holding out for the X, but I see what you mean when doing a dummy preorder for the 8 on the Apple app vs. AT&T app. Hmm...???

So for ATT Next Every Year will I be able to get the Iphone 10s (or whatever they decide to call it) next year at no cost? How does that work?

Yes on the Apple store app it only specified 24 months option but not 30 and why is that ?

Very fair observation :( Apple better ramp up production of the X big time before the preordering goes live!

IMHO, I think that's why they did the 8/8 Plus launch first. I believe that they thought, this way there will be less demand for the X. Time will tell.

What about data? Does it give you an option to keep your current data amount or does it force you to pick a current data amount?

I see both 24 month and 30 month options using Apple store app. not sure why you all don't.

Ah, I got it! It's definitely misleading when you first see AT&T installment program from $29.13/mo. for 24 mo. on the how would you like to pay screen...select that, then continue, enter info on carrier account screen, then you will finally see both options!

Anyone have issues ordering through AT&T Premier in the past? In terms of waiting longer to receive their pre-order compared to non-business accounts?

The past 2 years yes big delays in shipping compared to regular accounts. Both years ordered at 2am CT and got 30 day shipping times when I placed my order. This year ordered same time as always and got release day shipping estimate.

Apple Store App was perfect, finally went up around 3:03. In and out in 2 min. 9/22 Delivery Date.
The Apple.com page still showed "We'll be Right Back."

I was also keeping my eye on this pain in the you know what "Jose" - seeing if this might mess deliveries up! IF it does skim the east coast, it shouldn't be too bad and it's around Tues, Maybe Wed. (Eh, always something)

This is rich. Countless people have lost their homes and more in Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. You're worried about a delay on your phone delivery.

So let's say I wanted to go through Apple instead of AT&T to avoid the risk of using Premier and getting my X in 2018 (which may happen anyways, but still). SIM-free models are usually unavailable at launch (exception being the 8 this year), so would I be able to purchase the T-Mobile variant at full price and use that on AT&T without issue? It seems that I can add a T-Mo full price iPhone 8 to my cart and could check out, but with AT&T it requires my info even if I try to pay full price.

Just ordered an 8 Plus 64GB in Silver. Shipping to Southpoint Apple Store for pick-up on the 22nd. My first plus sized iPhone so hopefully I will get adjusted to the size of it. I was going to wait for the X but I'll wait a year and see how they hold up before diving into that one.

Oh and I ordered through Apple Store. Fast and painless.

Yeah, congratulations! Will you be talking the day off. Don't chuckle, some people do take off for launch day deliveries.

I work in the music industry and I have a show that day, I wish I had the day off.

*fingers crossed they deliver it before noon*

we all know that wont happen lol
