paid in full and had a 1057 temporary charge on my card right after i pre ordered it on friday the 27th. Temporary charge stuck all week.... When it shipped it disappeared and hasn't shown back up yet ??? Free iPhone? haha probably not.
7:54 AM on the 27th. I ordered the SG right after. The SG 256 appears to be the hot ticket item.
Ordered mine at 8:30am CST 256 silver and still in progress with ship date of 11/2-11/10. Hope I’m getting close to ship.

Charged as soon as order went through. Remained pending until Monday and fell off. Got a posted charge today after having shipped & receiving the phone.
I’m trying! I still have my Apple Watch series 3 that I haven’t used yet cause I wanted to wait for the X. The watch came in on Tuesday
FedEx delivered order #1 about 12:30pm today. Had to run errands tonight so while we were out I was checking Target stock online. Stopped by one of the stores which listed "limited stock" of the 256GB since order #2 still hadn't shipped (Nov 2 - Nov 10 est. after an AT&T system glitch forced the ordered to have to be replaced). Target still had some (at 5:30pm). Canceled order #2 and bought from Target.
It's been easy enough to get used to the FaceID...getting used to no home button for switching between apps and doing other things is taking a little more time.

mine showed at about 1:20, i texted my coworker who lives about 5 minutes away from me that it showed, by the time i was able to text him a picture and actually pop the seal of the apple box, his arrived as well.
yes i got cleared for a half day for launch day. all it took was working a few extra hours when i would normally be lounging, and bringing my boss lunch on the way in today..... after playing with this thing most of the afternoon and evening, it was well worth it.
this was my first launch day purchase ever, short of my series 3LTE Apple Watch which somehow made its way to me even though i ordered 36hours after preorder. Completely unintentional but whatevs, i'll take it.
I know people who ordered directly from Apple at 5 and 6am and they're not expected to see movement until early Dec....

Same situation as me. Same phone. Mine left Ft. Worth headed to Memphis via FedEx (which is ironic since Memphis has the major hub). I had the Nov 2-10 shipment period also.
My wife doesn’t want her iPhone X. She said she will keep her iPhone 7 Plus. I haven’t open her iPhone X yet. I paid full price. Maybe flip it for easy $200 profit

As far as I know, all phones directly from AT&T are sim locked automatically. You don’t open the phone to activate it but you do have to request an unlock if you mean to sell it.
Otherwise, it will require all the wireless account info of the person who originally bought the phone when you try to activate it.
For all who still have to wait receiving your order and are still able or allowed to cancel it, you can purchase online in Apple store apps and choose store pick up. I just did this for my other line for today pick up. This is subject to the store supply availablity. Good luck!!

I got on with AT&T chat, confirmed my eligibility would immediately return and canceled my preorder. The rep stayed on while I ordered through the Apple Store app, took about 5 minutes and my eligibility was restored. Got my pickup window for 10:00 right when they open.

I did the same thing for my wife's phone that was in the 11/2 - 11/10 window (and still "in progress"). Woke up at 6, checked the stock, 256GB silvers available at all local Apple stores. I had to cancel my existing orders (with Apple and ATT) first, but now I have a reservation to pick one up today at Apple.
Same. I did the exact thing at 6am in NYC and all stores had stock. Now some are showing not availabile. So glad I stayed up early to cancel my useless "Nov 2nd - Nov 10th, In Progress" order. Who knows when that would have ever shipped...Stocks are depleting very quick after my announcement in Apple stores in my area. Amazing
