Yeah it’s a joke. Honestly I hate this. You deserve the phone before me as you obviously ordered first. Not sure what is going on.
If it doesn't come by Friday, I will switch to Verizon. I've been contemplating it anyway since the service in my area keeps getting worse also.
 
If I didn’t get a great discount with working for AT&T, I’d have Verizon , no hesitation .
I have a company provided phone, and we have accounts with both AT&T and Verizon. I've just always been with AT&T since I got my first phone. This is the first time they have failed me on pre-orders also.
 
my local Apple and AT&T stores will not have any stock showing every morning at 6am

Be sure to check throughout the day or set a notification up at istocknow.com. I had notifications setup and got one at 5:32 yesterday that the Apple store minutes away from me had 256 SG available. I cancelled my AT&T order and ordered it for pickup. Had it in hand 2 hours later.

Anyone have this issue? If I check the email ATT sent, it shows I am 'Preparing to Ship' but if I check *6737# it says Backordered. Both have the same date '15-22'. My pending charge also disappeared on Sunday, not charged just gone.

That means your phone is getting ready to ship. Congrats. The charge will come back, don't worry.

Nah, both in progress . Just checked both with an 11/2-11/10 order date
 
my order has finally changed to "Preparing to Ship". It's a Silver 256GB on AT&T no commitment. I was able to place the order around 3:10am on 10/27 directly in the Apple app (couldn't order before that). The initial estimate for delivery was/is 11/17 to 11/24. I assume this will now change. Does anyone know the average timeframe from Preparing to Ship until receiving the unit?

I’ve received tracking from fedex. The ATT app also shows the same tracking. However I did not get an email from ATT that order has officially shipped. Delivery for tomorrow per FedEx.

What was your quoted shipping date before you actually saw it ship? When did you order?
 
I'd held out hope that when the order times getting shipped approached mine, I'd get the bump. But now some with the same order abut later order time are getting shipped. No bump, no love.

I give up. So frustrating. I held out waiting my turn and after seeing people get their shipments AFTER I ordered just makes me angry. If my order hasn’t shipped or had a change in status by tomorrow morning, I’m cancelling my order and will wait until next year to upgrade.

I can't use the FEDEX/UPS accounts because mine is shipping to a business address.

Second time I've chatted with a rep during this whole process:

Kathleen P.: As I have checked here , your order have an estimated shipment dates between 11/02/2017 To 11/10/2017. The good thing is our inventory level changes from time to time depending on the number of customers that placed thi8s kind of order.

Kathleen P.: AT&T is working diligently to have this item shipped as soon as possible and we definitely send it based on first come first serve basis, Blake.

Kathleen P.: I can assure you that you will receive an email with the tracking number once the item has been shopped. We appreciate your patience, I strongly recommend o check your email from time to time to check for the updates.

*Shipping on a first come, first serve basis is obviously a lie!*

Ordered a 256 Spacegray at 4:15AM EST on 10/27 on Apple.com. Still showing a DEC 1-8th arrival. I only ordered an hour later than launch because the store and apple.com kept on crashing. Glad I woke up in the middle of the night only to get screwed. Should have woken up and placed my order at 8AM and I'd have a phone by now, apparently.

Great for you and sucks for me since you ordered the exact same phone as I did, almost 2 hours after I ordered.

Yes that really sucks and I feel for you. Like I’ve said before I wish you got this phone before me as you ordered before. I take zero pleasure in getting it before you. It actually gets me really mad.
