Carrier AT&T Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

I ordered at 7:30 eastern time. WTH do I have a December ship date. Apple told me they are shipping in order they are receive. Clearly that is bs.

So annoyed with this process. Many people getting their phones already and ordered after me. It's been on Backorder status for over a week now.
How the heck do you get that? What do i have to do to view my order like that?
Well I got the "Your Item Has been shipped" email, with tracking number yesterday. Once I click the tracking number that's what I get from UPS.
I’m dead... I ordered the silver 256gb, I’m so greedy. This is what i get for wanting more storage
I was gonna get the 256 one, but then I looked at my storage and saw, that at peak usage, I was at 32gb. No need for that much storage.
I’m such an idiot... I’m looking at my storage now and with 4 thousand photos and 150 videos and other things. I’m only using up 39gb’s. RIP.
Yeah. The 256GB thing is just a gimmick to get u to pay more. 95% of us have unlimited data plans now.. easy access to wifi from which to stream our 5000 songs in the cloud. Even with hi Rez videos - almost 100 of them and thousands of photos I never topped 46GB this last year. Will never get anywhere close to 64GB let alone 256.
So my estimated shipping date was Dec 4-11, but my order now reads that it is Preparing to Ship.... is that some sort of limbo phase because I don't want to get overly optimistic. Does anyone have any idea?

Mine has said preparing to ship for over a week now. Don't get your hopes up.
I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I won’t get the phone until 11/24-12/01. I’m tired of getting upset about it and calling all throughout AT&T to get answers.

First and last time for me .
When I was with T-Mobile , I got my note 7 a day before release. Then when I got my first 7 Plus , it came a few weeks before the original quoted ship date.
Just read a few posts over at the Apple.com thread. We're all on the same boat as you guys. No difference this year. The days of the most popular phone getting to you on launch day… That ship has sailed. Unless you're in the first group that orders between 12 o'clock and 12:03?… Just get used to these backorders even through Apple themselves. No diff.
