Mine is officially in the U.S., got the TX origin scan notification and will be here by Thursday. The wait is almost over.

For next year.. The best kept secret... is simply this..

Here's what you do to increase your chances of getting a launch day phone. Screenshot this post. You'll thank me next year.

• One launch night DAY TIME.. Go into your account with ATT. Make sure your payment method is updated.. including re-entering your security code for your credit card one more time.. Hit save.
• Then - HOURS before night fall.. early in the day... before the webpage closes down to the 'we have something special for you page'.. Go into the ATT Store on the web on your phone app and choose the newest iPhone.
• Go through all the pages.. Choose your phone.. size, color, etc... the app will check with ATT to qualify you have an upgrade coming.. and go ALL the way to the last page for Checkout.
• Checkout will be grayed out - and it will say PRODUCT NOT AVAILABLE.. That's okay...
• THEN on your computer BOOKMARK that page.. On your phone app.. Click on the little page icon with the up arrow on it at the bottom of the window and in next screen choose ADD TO HOMESCREEN.. This will be a bookmark of sorts.

Then after the website goes down into the WAITING queue later at night.. you'll have your bookmark ready..

Just keep refreshing that page (if on computer) after midnight.. And you'll be taken IMMEDIATELY to the checkout - click on your credit card payment.. BOOM - DONE - Launch date delivery.. For most of you who try this.

If on phone.. Keep quitting out of the app in the switcher and then reentering through your book mark on the SpringBoard of your phone..

That's the only way to 'be in the game' anymore with the huge demand.. If you get in - right after midnight and have to take time to enter all info.. You'll never have a chance.. except for the less popular phones.. Like next year you'll likely have a better chance of getting the 'smaller' phones.. than the bigger one..

Good luck.. NEXT year.. :)

Just read a few posts over at the Apple.com thread. We're all on the same boat as you guys. No difference this year. The days of the most popular phone getting to you on launch day… That ship has sailed. Unless you're in the first group that orders between 12 o'clock and 12:03?… Just get used to these backorders even through Apple themselves. No diff.
Yep, a lot of folks in that thread have had shipments stuck in China and Korea for 3-4 days. Apple is usually pretty good about their delivery date estimates, however the carriers are not which is witnessed in this thread. Apple is getting you tracking directly from the Iphone City/Foxconn in ZhengZhao, but with AT&T you have to wait until they have the stock in their warehouses (MEM or Ft. Worth) first which takes even longer. Apple direct is just better at customer service and sticking to their dates.

A lot of the pre-release talk about manufacturing shortages were off, but the pre-orders went to 3-4 weeks ship time and they are still holding to that it appears. I wont see mine until mid-Dec from AT&T since I didn't get my company to process the Premier order until a week after pre-order. Foxconn are still pretty constrained in making these for all of us that want them quickly unfortunately which has become the new norm. I know when I got the JB 7+ last year, they had trouble with the JB color and i waited a couple of weeks.

In Jan 2018 when the holiday rush is over, all stores will have them in stock when the manufacturing catches up. Apple wants the buzz to stay strong over the holiday season to keep these selling.

I just got home to a surprise!

One of my iPhone X's has arrived 1 month early!!!

I placed my order on 10.27 at 2:30pm through AT&T biz premier and originally had an eta of 12/11-12/17

Unfortunately, only my space grey 256gb arrived. I also ordered a silver 256gb that is still showing "in progress" when I check my order status.

Does the order that arrived show as shipped on the portal?
