My taxes were immediately deducted from my checking account when I hit "order".

I remember every year until now ATT mostly underestimated their delivery dates and a lot of folks with initial later dates for them on delivery day. Maybe ATT finally upgraded their preorder inventory system.

Yeah i have had the same experience with ATT. Tried to go apple this year but wouldn't load for a long time. When it did it I got the reservation number that the carrier couldn't be verified. I think ATT might have prioritized to their website.

Looks like SG 64 and 256gb slipped to Nov 2-10, Silver still Nov 3.

Question: may be a dumb question but just curious.
What will happen if I ordered from both AT&T and the Apple Store App?

If I recall correctly, I changed my billing address last year to receive the phone at my sister's house 1,100 miles away after I ordered the phone.

Then I changed the billing address back when I got the phone.
 
Ok now I’m freaking out. When I click on the link in the e-mail it shows my preorder but when I log into myAT&T and go into my orders it doesn’t show. Is that normal?

I was wondering the same thing and was worried the apple order might get cancelled out.
Did you get an order confirmation from both?

Yes.

Normal for at least a little while.

Now when I click on upgrade options, the line I preordered for only has the option to Buy At Full Price.

Also, my order number works when checking on the status.

If you did att next you can do what I did and check the phone you were able to upgrade and it will say "pay off $999 to upgrade now" or something like that, pretty sure that means good news!

Check your spam/junk - my email was in my junk folder. Not sure why because they send me emails all the time. I was so happy to see it

Placed my orders at 2:54 and 2:57 ET and got emails right after.

And yea I clearly remember the “amount due today” showing as $0
 
If I ordered two phones on the same line, one through AT&T the other through the Apple Store app, will they cancel out?

Taxes.. it’s made me put in a seperate CC for taxes every year that I’ve pre ordered.i wish they would’ve billed that $100 to the acct lol I don’t pay that bill lol

Yea I was fully expecting to pay SOMETHING today. But it said $0, which has me worried even though my order says in progress

I ordered first thru apple with delivery on 17th to 24th and just ordered for the same line on att with delivery on the 3rd. looked up my account and it shows payoff old phone of $919
 
Quite a bit of in-store pickups still available on Apple.com. Perhaps the demand won't be as high for this phone.
