Order placed at 350 am. Literally kicked me out of the cue and site for 50 minutes. Terribly frustrating.

Says delivers by Nov 3. Confirmation received and cc charged for taxes. Fingers crossed. What a nightmare. Have a T-Mobile from apple.com at full price as a backup with 2 to 3 weeks shipping.

So it seems like the AT&T upgrade servers have been down since pre-orders went live
I still can’t even log in. Been trying since before preorders went live. Att app not working. Apple store app not letting me preorder either.
 
Update: Just got the “good to go” email about 2 1/2 hours after ordering for 1 of my orders, as well as a text. Email says taxes are charged when the item ships. So that answers my question.

Still waiting on the emai for my 2nd order.
 
I finally got mine ordered, but looking at the confirmation email, it looks like it knocked me off of AT&T Next every year and onto the every other year plan. Is this something AT&T will let me fix later or am I screwed for next year?

Within 14 days of you activating your phone you should be able to.

Have you checked your card's account online to see if the tax was deducted or put on hold. Mine was deducted/pre-autorized immediately from my checking account.

Also, what was your exact order time?

I ended up being 03:07:01 est.
 
At 3:00a EDT, I connected to att.com and had an 8 minute que wait. At 3:08 it logged in and the X was not visible for me as an upgrade option. Heart sank. Kept searching and it showed up. Ordered space grey 256 and received Nov 3rd delivery emails. Thank you email at 3:12, second order status email at 3:24. Unless they cancel on me, I’m good!

I’ll add, at the same time I was trying the Apple Store app on my iPad. It didn’t come up until 3:20, so that was a fail and glad I went direct to att.com.

Were the two emails different? I only got one email so far.
 
just got off chat with Att...mentioned I ordered two x's on the same phone number. one through apple and one through Att. he said the orders wouldn't be canceled but I should cancel one of them since I could potentially be charged two next installment plans.

No holds or deductions for tax on my account, but I never was prompted to enter payment information when ordering, so I'm not sure if they have a card on file, or will just bill my bank account I have linked for monthly payments? I'll look into that soon. Perhaps I'll have to call them later this afternoon. But the 2nd email clearly states "Total due" amounts will be charged to your debit/credit card when items are shipped.

My exact order times were 2:54 and 2:57 ET.

Saying Dec 11 on apple store for att versions but nov 3 pickup still available everywhere for sprint versions. Im in Atlanta area.
