Shocked about availability at AT&T now. Didn’t need to wake up at 2:30 am.

I would be shocked if they stuck to those delivery dates for orders placed this late. Either they're wrong, or the public was really off on either launch day availability or interest.

Apple showing 5-6 weeks shipping estimates for AT&T phones and AT&T showing November 3 still just doesn't add up.

how reliable is att with their shipping on release date?

my email confirmation is stamped 2:57am but i just went back into the store to see and pre-orders now as of 4:07am still state 11/3 delivery.

anyone with past att pre-order experience?

I’ve ordered all my iPhones pre order through ATT and have always gotten them on release date. Lucky I suppose because there doesn’t seem to be any reason to it. Hell when I ordered the iPhone 6 I waited till 10 am the next morning and STILL got it on release day.
 
question, I placed an order on AT&T after receiving an error on the apple site and being placed on an iPhone reservation. Now I am screwed ... my reservation on apple is for a black 256gb (nov 3) while on at&t I have a silver 256gb (nov 3). problem is I am on the next program and since I have a pending order on att, it doesn't reflect on apple anymore. if I cancel my order on att so I can get the black instead, how soon will the system update to show my at&t next eligibility so I can grab my apple iPhone reservation?
 
My order processed at 3:15am through AT&T. Apple’s site would even load until 3:12 for me. I can’t believe I got the 11/3 arrival date. That would make a first launch day delivery for me and I preorder every year. I got the space gray, 256 GB. I received both the order confirmation and good to go emails.
 
At 3:00a EDT, I connected to att.com and had an 8 minute que wait. At 3:08 it logged in and the X was not visible for me as an upgrade option. Heart sank. Kept searching and it showed up. Ordered space grey 256 and received Nov 3rd delivery emails. Thank you email at 3:12, second order status email at 3:24. Unless they cancel on me, I’m good!

I’ll add, at the same time I was trying the Apple Store app on my iPad. It didn’t come up until 3:20, so that was a fail and glad I went direct to att.com.

I'm wagering AT&T has their own supply of iPhone X's allocated for their inventory, which is why they had dates slip after the Apple website.

Though, AT&T dates are slipping now.

Silver 64: Order now for delivery by Nov 3, 2017.
Silver 256: Ships between Nov 2, 2017 - Nov 10, 2017.
Black 64: Ships between Dec 1, 2017 - Dec 15, 2017.
Black 256: Ships between Nov 2, 2017 - Nov 10, 2017.

Still a chance you can get a launch day device if you choose the right model.

Same. So far, AT&T site estimates have been accurate, or my phone actually shipped earlier than expected.
 

I logged in to ATT 1:35 Central Standard for my upgrade as my iP6s plus is paid for. ATT page is doing the countdown.

By 1:48am, the page refreshed and says something like “2 more minutes in queing, do you want to continue?” I click Yes.

Less the 2 min, the page refreshed and I get to choose the Silver 256Gb phone using ATT Next Plan. Took me close to 2 minutes to complete the order cause there are pages asking for Protection/Insurance option and Accessories option. Scroll down the page, skipped through. Entered my cc for the $71.87 tax. Exactly 1:56AM, ordered placed. 4 min before sale went Live. Latest email says “Expected delivery date: 11/3/2017.

Received the error messages and email reservation message from apple store app, so decided to go through att website instead, a few hours later. Delivery estimate is November 3rd-10th. Huz opted to get the 64 space gray instead of the 256 for quicker delivery.

I also just got the text and email saying the order is almost ready to ship. Still being cautiously optimistic though. I have never received an email or text from preorders with ATT. Is this something new they just started this year?
 
Maybe I'm unlucky. My order went through about 1am pacific time but it has a Dec 5-11 shipping date. 4-5 weeks. This was for a silver 64GB. Is there anything I can do? Is it possible that's an estimated date and it actually arrives on the 3rd?
 
A notable refill, mostly ATT, just happened. Worth a check.

I was in the queue and when it was time to go to the order page my computer said there were too many redirects. This was a few minutes before the 3:00 am est time. I entered again and it happened again at 3:15 am. Damn you att!!
 
Couldn’t even get through the Apple aite until 12:15. I went to AT&T and it says i’ll get it by November 3rd. i highly doubt that and i’m sure it’ll still quote Nov 3rd on AT&T right now.
 
I've never had an att miss their window. The apple watch s3 I ordered said 10-27-Nov 3. and It shipped out last night. Will be here saturday or monday. Plus most my iPhones I ordered through them. Either a serious glitch... or maybe people avoided att since they believe they would be able to place a quicker order at midnight with apple.
 
I placed an order with AT&T about 45 minutes ago (64gb grey, Nov 2-10) but...

Edit: Never mind, I just read back through the thread a bit and answered my own question, I usually hate when people don't do that so now I am ashamed. :oops:

One of my buddies laughed at me I think for the 7 launch that I wake up to order. He rolled into work the next morning and took his time and ordered at his leisure and still got one from ATT on launch day. i think the carriers see less of the brunt because everyone thinks ordering from Apple is the best bet. I am starting to see the carrier is the better bet
 
Had a tab open to Apple, a tab open to AT&T, the Apple store app open on my phone and the AT&T app open on my phone. Got in through AT&T first (app and webpage loaded same time). Placed one order at 3:08am, second order at 3:11am. Apple finally loaded around 3:10. Both orders for grey 256.

Logged back into my account around 5:30 to find a notification "Don't want your order canceled?" And a phone number to call. argh! According to the person I spoke with there was an issue in sending the second order from the front end online ordering system to the back end physical processing system. They're having to cancel and redo the order and hopefully override the date. They're still trying to get it done though.

Let me add - I got two emails right after I placed both orders. I only then got a second email several hours later on one of the orders. I never got a second email on the problem order.
 
I tried the myATT app at midnight and it didn't work at all. It kept erroring out and pushing me further down the queue. So instead i went through the Apple Store app and was one of the first ones to get in so I got to place an order for a 64GB Silver (i refuse to pay more than a grand for a phone), but the order wasn't complete because they couldn't contact the ATT servers to verify my upgrade eligibility and they didn't have the 30 month Next option. I wake up this morning (well 5AM pacific) and on a whim checked the myATT app again to see how far the dates had slipped. Only they hadn't... I just ordered my 64GB silver through ATT for delivery on the 3rd. I'm thoroughly impressed.
 
I never got an email confirmation.

When I check the order status it says "in progress" does that mean it didn't go through?

Mine says nov 3 delivery date, but I never got an email confirmation although my bank shows I got charged.

Are there people here who didn't get an email confirmation but the order went through?

I ordered right when they went live.
