Carrier AT&T Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

Update: Checked my NEXT Installment plan details and it shows me 'Contract Pending' for APPLE IPHONE X - 256 - SPACE GRAY and also shows my APPLE IPHONE 7 PLUS - 128 BLACK as 'Contract Updated' so I think that is all good news. Now the stressful watch for changes to status and shipping!

Had lots of issues with mine. On the Next plan and wanted to trade in my IP7+ toward my IPX, however I could only get an option to pay off my remaining balance and then pre-order after waiting 8 minutes in the queue. I figured I would do this to get the pre-order done, then sell my IP7+ if I had to, however, could not get any credit card to accept. My CC flagged it for some reason, I am guessing all the attempts, even though the ATT website was stating the card information was wrong (it wasn't). Eventually I checked on my CC website and had to authorize the charge (showed 3 times), however by this point I was trying through the Apple site, which said I could upgrade via trade it. So at this point, I re-checked the ATT website, which was not allowing me to upgrade with ATT Next so I did. I think at this point I have paid off my IP7+ though, so if my wife does not want it, it will go to Gazelle or something similar who are offering $330, slightly less than the what I paid off..

The whole ordeal took nearly 40 minutes.

That being said, I got my order placed at 3:40:21 AM EST with an immediate confirmation email. Received my order status email at 7:51am EST stating Expected Delivery Date 11/3/17

Ordered Iphone X 256 Space Gray. Have previously gone through this pre-order process for ATT for Iphone 4, 5, 6P, and 7P

Is anyone else's order showing 2 items? One is for the iPhone X, and the other simply says NOT_AVAILABLE.

That will fall off as they process it.

Just got a text from ATT saying my order is about ready to ship. Have a November 3 delivery date for a Space Gray 256GB iPhone X.

When I ordered AT&T didn't ask for a CC and there is no hold. I assume they are just going to add the charge to my AT&T account, but I'm not sure. Others: Were you asked for a CC during the ordering process?

I was not charged tax either, and a few others have posted the same. My 2nd confirmation email says tax will be charged at the time of shipment. I chatted with a rep online they said it will most likely be added to your next bill. My cycle starts on the 26th so I won’t see if it until late November. I was also told that if there’s an issue with billing they will get in touch before outright canceling.

Just got the same text, stating that the phone is preparing to ship. The actual order status doesn’t reflect that yet though. AT&T really seems to have done well with this rollout. I guess we’ll find out for sure in a week...

I just ordered another Silver 256 X on the ATT Premier site chatted with them to confirm the displayed delivery date of 11/3. I Got order confirmation 1 minute later. So I have 1 for me I ordered through Apple at 3:03am with an 11/10 delivery and this one through ATT with 11/3. Guess ATT has ample stock for Business Customers.

I was on the ATT site since 2:55am EST this morning. At 3:01am it ported me to that online queue with a wait time already of 15 minutes which I thought was odd, but I just stuck with it. Apple App came up a few minutes after that while I was waiting and already had the 2-3 week wait listed for most models so I didn't order through them. After about 20 min I finally got through on ATT to upgrade my phone. I had to choose more options to get the Next Every year option and I checked out with a 256gb Silver at 3:23am with a 11/3 delivery by date so as long as it doesn't get bumped I'm pretty happy.

First time pre-ordering from ATT since I just switched from Verizon this year, wasn't bad at all. My first order confirmation e-mail did come right away but went to my junk box which I didn't realize at first. Haven't received any other emails yet but online order status still shows 11/3. Here's hoping!

I also ordered through the Apple Store App at around 3:10 AM EST. It wouldn't let me in on any apple device..when I finally got in, the delivery dates were already at 11/17-11/24. I figured it was better than December so I took it. However, 2.5 hours LATER, out of curiosity I went on AT&T's website and logged in to upgrade my line to a next account, I got the SAME phone with a delivery date of 11/3. WTF? How does this even make sense lol...? I haven't been charged anything on either side yet but I did get an order confirmation from AT&T guaranteeing November 3rd delivery and also got an email from Apple telling me my Citizens Loan was approved.

You know everyone was pushing the Apple store app for pre-orders but it appears their website was faster this year. I got a 11.3 ship date at around 3:05 am.

Also AT&T had 11.3 delivery date on their site for the silver model both configs when I woke up again at 6 am today. I was very surprised by that.

Im the same boat. Mine says the same thing but for a silver 256. But I never got a second email yet. ordered at 3:07am est

i had been logged on to att on my pc before I went to bed. When i woke up at 1:55AM i was already in the cue- waited 10 mins, placed order and done- delivery Nov. 3. Never in all my years has it been this easy. Almost too easy...

Att says they couldn't provide me with reasons. The idiot lady on call says she cannot provide me further details. What idiots. I placed another one through Apple reservation and it will go to ATT hope they don't cancel it

Interesting. I was charged tax and it deducted from my bank account immediately.

Also placed orders from Premier Biz account and 11/3 ship date. Also got an AMEX fraud alert shortly after - but order was accepted. This may be an issue for some orders as a 3:00am EST on-line order for $1K will trigger some credit card fraud systems....if your order was canceled, check your CC alerts.

I ordered 4 - one in each configuration. All say 11/3 delivery. They went through as three separate orders (long story). No charges for two of them. One month of NEXT plus $25 upgrade fee for two of them. Go figure.

The upgrade fees is ridiculous. Would I have paid that ordering through Apple? (Although their app and website weren't taking orders when mine went through)

I have an order with apple and att. Apple won’t ship for 2-3 weeks. Enough time for me to watch att because they are saying 11/3 delivery. If that jumps past the 2-3 weeks then I will cancel with them and keep my Apple order. I find it odd too

Had gone for iUp but it got rejected because they couldn't verify the information. Not sure what it means.

After att canceled this I placed another Apple website order on att next

I believe if you have a FAN discount through your company with ATT upgrade fees and activation fees can and will be waived.

Ordered at 3:16am est from att delivery date 11/3. Got two emails a confirmation as soon as I placed the order and another one at 6:21am. Telling me they will notify me a soon as it ships along with the next plan details and tax and upgrade fees.
