To those only who have "Preparing to ship" and ordered from AT&T (not Apple):

I’m surprised that the taxes for NEXT could be added to the bill. This would be the first year I ever remember this being an option. When I ordered on Friday I saw the option but it said only for accessories, so I opted to just pay the tax and not risk screwing something up.

It has always been taxes due up front.

Back when I ordered my 6s plus I didn't pay the taxes upfront either.

yeah i think maybe only apple site purchases ships from China. Macrumors posted a post saying people with UPS are getting to see their shipments ship. I don't see ATT orders shipping from china. My phone went to preparing for shipment yesterday around 6pm EST. I believe apple holds phones in a warehouse for a couple days then over nights them Thursday for Friday delivery.


Still showing Preparing to ship. Hopefully it ships this Monday or Tuesday.

That’s probably the trade in item, they leave that open as part of the order.

Yeah that should be the trade in, i have to trade in my iPhone 7+ with the att next every year. But its annoying that it is keeping my order status from changing.

That’s pretty good, if you ordered around 9:30 am. My order went through at 3:33 am and it’s not preparing to ship yet.

That’s what worries me. You ordered yours so much earlier and still not preparing to ship. I don’t trust it. I have a bad feeling that my status will change for the worse.

My 256GB Space Grey is preparing to ship

I also had my confirmation email send to a bad email address that is now fixed, any way to get AT&T to resend it or to view the exact item I ordered?(the titles are vague 'iPhone X' with no size or color preference.)

I had received two emails and got the "We're good to go" email (second one). I had a "In Progress" status and an Estimated ship date of 11/2 - 11/10. When I talked to the online rep, he/she stated it was changed to 25-35 days. He/she said that due to high demand, some orders are getting their shipment dates pushed. I asked if an email would come to me with the given information. He/she did not say yes or no.

I actually canceled the preorder due to a bigger problem I had with ATT. I ended up canceling my entire ATT account and just switched over to T-Mobile. Made a pre-order with a ship date of 11/3-11/10.

Does anyone know if ATT stores will have the X on launch date. If I line up the night before, do you think I can get one?

I can only tell you this...when the 5s came out...I worked 7p-7a, I went to att after my shift and was 2nd in line at 0730. They opened at 0800 that day and I was out of there in 20 mins!

This page says I’m preparing to ship but the other page where you can see the little picture of the iPhone X says In Progress still, but my order is not able to be cancelled now. That changed today between 1-2 PM EST. Getting excited! Silver 64GB.

I only see a handful of 256 silvers with preparing for shipping. I was able to complete my order at 3:07am est. hope to see some movement soon.
