I have 2 orders for 2 different lines. I ordered one at 3:09AM EST that was preparing to ship as of this morning and has a release-date delivery (11/3). And another order at 8:53 AM EST that is still in process, with ship dates of 11/2-11/10.

Yes, I have preparing to ship (Chicago area).

I just called AT&T to see who's shipping it (FedEx or UPS), and they couldn't tell me. It seemed difficult to change the delivery location, which I was curious about since I will be at work when it arrives (as will most of us I suppose). The person said it would be likely that I'd have to cancel the order and place a new order, which is just silly. So I guess I'll have to watch the tracking like a hawk and try to beat FedEx to my apartment. They don't try very hard to find the person they're delivering to (that is, they don't ring doorbells).

Mine says preparing to ship now. I went ahead and canceled my other order with apple with a ship date of 11/17-11/24. Hope I did the right thing.

Update: Mine was preparing to ship. Now the order status says “In progress”. Whatever that means...

Once you get the preparing to ship you should be fine in terms of cancelling the other order.

That’s pretty good, if you ordered around 9:30 am. My order went through at 3:33 am and it’s not preparing to ship yet.

does anyone have experience with att delivery date overrides; do they work? the rep told me she overrode the december date to ensure a nov. 3rd delivery date but when i check the status it still says december.
