Ordered at 2:02 AM CST (12:02 PST) from AT&T

128 gb Space Gray my delivery was set at - Expected Ship Date: 10/31/2014 To 11/11/2014.

Seems to me this is a typical Apple issue. Hype the product but never have enough early stock to satisfy demand. Apple parcels these things out to the cell companies so their stuck with slower deliveries.

Just canceled the order I made via AT&T at 4:15AM yesterday. It said it would be delivered between 21 and 28 days. F that!

Is this a placeholder date or is this the actual time I'll be receiving it? I find it extremely hard to believe an order placed around noon would send me this far back in line. If anything I'd imagine my delivery date would go to October because of all the people canceling orders.

I hope not, I show the same date.

Well I still have some patience. With all these cancellations maybe other orders will be filled sooner. Don't understand what the rush is all about? The 6 Plus is gonna be delayed no matter where you go b/c Apple just didn't manufacture enough. The 4.7" should be filled sooner than some of the dates AT&T has indicated. Its always that way with them - they are the worse w/pre-orders.

ATT = Another Terrible Time

Ok....so I ordered an iphone 6 :apple: 64gb on ATT Premier website at 12:13 am PT...got a confirmation saying congrats you will receiving your order on or before 9/19... just ckd the website and it now says 9/23 to 10/2 ...

Can someone in ATT tell me why?...It's always something with their ordering system...and yes my credit card was already charged !!!!

AT&T has no control of inventory. I would highly suggest you guys go through apple next time. They are the manufacturers so they would be more accurate on the shipment timeframe. I ordered a 128gb iPhone 6+ around 9pm PST on September 12th and mine says "Delivers by September 19th". However, I did use the reservation ticket for that. What's weird is that the reservation ticket was for an iPhone 6. I changed my device to a 128gb 6+ and it said delivers by 9/19 so I quickly did check out. Without using the ticket and just doing a normal checkout they are backordered 3-4 weeks

So I'm curious to how much you were all charged. I got a iPhone 6, 64GB and paid $367: $299 + tax + $40. When I talked to the representative, he was entirely unhelpful but swore that the upgrade fee is always added to the bill and to expect to see it on next month's.

What's the real answer?

I am also furious I placed the order on the AT&T site as soon as the ordering opened up for a iPhone 6 64GB Space Gray. Currently the order status shows shipping 9/23 - 10/2 which I find unacceptable. Why the hell did I wake up so early for? What we all need to do is contact AT&T via phone or Chat (chat seems to be mostly unavailable because I guess they are getting flooded) and complaint about this and ask for something in return (be it service credit, etc). Crying about it here isn't going to get us anything. I would have preferred placing the order on the Apple site but the store was offline unfortunately.

I'm in the same boat.... ordered at 3:02 AM EST.

We had a similar panic when the iPhone 5 was pre ordered through at&t a couple years ago and everyone was whining here too.

My expected shipping date was weeks from the official launch day BUT it changed that Thursday late evening to shipped and the phone arrived as scheduled on launch day.....

Just saying, all hope is not lost :)

Taxes

Taxes are by law calculated on the full retail price of the phone, including the 'subsidy' paid by the carrier. (Of course, it's actually you paying the 'subsidy', but...) The same should be true if ordering through the carrier or directly from Apple.

AT&T Next does not charge an upgrade fee when you do the monthly installments. At least that's what I believe I read/my understanding.

That's what I hope for. Otherwise why the hell did I wake up so early for? Lol.

I hope so. My orders for a Gray128GB 6+ 2:55AM EST estimate date 10/13-10/21 and a Silver 128GB 6+ 3:00AM EST estimate date 11/7-11/29. Our orders are 9 hrs apart, and yet, we have the same date.

I also placed the order on the premier site and same dates. I hope this is just an estimate and that that will change to be delivered on the 19th as promissed. Otherwise they should not have made any promises to begin with!

Yep almost the same thing happened to me. Didn't make launch day, but was in that Monday when it was 7-10 business days on their website.

Not sure which configuration you ordered, but this is why pre ordering through apple is an absolute must. The carriers just dont have the volume to keep up with pre orders. Even if you got a preorder through right away through a carrier, your status will likely update to something different.

Not true! I ordered the 5 the morning after pre orders began and recieved my phone (ordered through ATT) on launch day. Long before many people who ordered through Apple at midnight on pre order night did. There is no rhyme or reason to all of this. You can't game the system. It is what it is.

There have also been many launches where folks who ordered late got phones the day of launch as well as folks who stayed up all night NOT getting phones on launch day.

The whole "first come first serve" crap they put out is simply not true or not true in the sense that we all expect it.

Sat morning 10 am
I ordered three from AT&T just now:
My 64 GB gray ships in 35 working days
Two 64 gig gold ships in 14 working days
It just ain't fair, the gold phones are for the women in my family in the gray one is for me --- but I'm payin the bills....

Haha! Lol...I hope these are just very rough estimates and they will actually adjust..That usually happens anyway with orders coming from overseas....

Yeah I think these dates will change. Keep checking status daily.

-Mike

honestly..this happens every year... i wouldn't be too worried about dates..they always work out... they just have everything on backorder... so when they associate your order with an actual phone it will change.

Exactly, yet some how people get so worked up about it every year and calling and canceling orders. I haven't gotten an iPhone every year on the first day whether I ordered or stood in line.

I will admit its annoying that ATT has given me three different dates at this point but at the end of the day Im sure I will have a phone on 9/19 as will most people that do not cancel their orders.

That's also what happened to me Mike...I contacted ATT and they said it was out of their control..blaming Apple for low amounts and high demand for the products...If the Galaxy Note 4 was out already I would be cxling both orders right now...

AT&T is definitely much worse than Apple's site or Store app. I managed to get two phones ordered from AT&T before 3:20am and the fact that I never received confirmation email freaked me out so I kept trying on Apple and ended up getting 9/19 delivery with email confirmation so I just canceled the AT&T ones this morning.

Ditto, same experience. I did finally get a confirmation email from AT&T hours later but they got the order wrong and the shipping date was pushed out, even though I ordered just after they went online. Glad I was able to cancel it and order directly through Apple. I'll never play the back and forth from apple.com to att.com again.

Type of phone makes difference?

I ordered a gray 128gb phone at about 11:56 PST 12 Sep. I got an immediate confirmation that it would arrive on 19 Sept. Then a day later I got this status and it has stayed like this. Wonder if the other early orderers who are having delayed deliveries picked really popular selections.... OR maybe they have not gotten around to updating my delivery??

THIS!!

This is what I'm saying! I know no one will take my advice but everyone should just chill out and let the process (whatever the F that process is) take place. I bet most folks who are showing long ship times will get their phones on the 19th! In fact, take it to the bank!
