I'd you're buying the phone with the contact then they are gonna charge you the subsidized price along with the upgrade fee. They are only charging the taxes only for people doing installment plans.

I was charged $584 for a 128gb iPhone 6 Plus. We all will be billed by our carrier for the $40 upgrade fee. Look out in your next months statement for that $40
I order a 64gb gold iphone+ at about 3:12 am est on AT&T. I got nervous that I never got email confirmation so I downloaded the apple store on my phone and at about 3:50 am that order went through with email conf. Was happy until 4:45 am when chase notified me my card was on hold cause they thought it was fraudulent charges being done. Anyway I waited until apple contacted me and put through info again. Charged me 51.55 the tax for the phone right away/ still shows 9/19 delivery date but who knows. Later that night AT&T sent me a text canceling the order with them because my line was already upgraded. Hopefully my phone shows up next week this is the first time I ever pre order, normally I just walk in on launch day n walk out with a phone.

You will end up having to return it and pay the hidious restocking fee by att. I doubt they will have them in stock at the store.
6, 64gb, gold shipment delay
Ordered at about 3:30am EST on 9/12 from AT&T's site. Confirmation email came at 5am listing delivery "on or around 9/19." "Congratulations" text message received today at 10:30am saying I will be notified when it ships. After this I checked my order status and it fell to 9/23-10/2 delivery.
Not sure if this affected anything, but my credit card company did have to do a fraud check on this purchase. I'm not sure if this held it up to make my delivery delayed.

I pre-ordered about 10 minutes 3am EST, but when I got my confirmation later that day my shipment estimate was for 3-4 weeks out.
I had it canceled yesterday so I could wait for it at the Apple Store instead =P
P.S., if an ATT rep tells you that Apple specialists cannot setup ATT Next in store, don't believe it. It's fairly recent, but apparently they can do it.

Ok....so I ordered an iphone 664gb on ATT Premier website at 12:13 am PT...got a confirmation saying congrats you will receiving your order on or before 9/19... just ckd the website and it now says 9/23 to 10/2
Can someone in ATT tell me why?...It's always something with their ordering system...and yes my credit card was already charged !!!!
SAME ISSUE. I called three times to customer service and all three times hit 30 minute handle time and was disconnected. ABSURD.
I was just on the ATT Chat about my plan and i have a grandfathered unlimited plan and i was finding out if there been any changes or any adjustment to my account - NOPE, staying the same as it was!
I also asked about the shipping dates - they couldn't verify it yet once the order been sent to the warehouse.

I'm on the same boat, though I seem to remember this exact thing happen ending when I preordered iPhone 5. I received the phone on delivery date.
Though it wouldn't be the end of the world if it was a week+ late either.

I have seen shipping dates for 9/19 for the i6+....some have even gotten shipping information... lets just be patient and see what happens about mid week
When I log into AT&T and do look at the orders there is no link to cancel preorder. Are you referring to the Apple site? I bet there is one there, but not with AT&T. I also checked the email link for order status and that also has no cancellation order. I'll just keep both on order for now and deal with it later.

Im assuming you didnt get the Plus? This means the 4.7 models are being shipped on time while the Plus takes some time to ship it out?
If AT&T doesnt have them on release day they are going to lose a massive amount of
customers and orders/profit from phones. Not to mention any future orders as noone will be ordering an iphone from AT&T. They also have charged a massive amount of us before we even have our phones. Not to mention all the false advertising having the phones.
I will be cancelling all my iphone orders if its not here Friday and going to a cheaper carrier.

I know I canceled mine through them.. I just hate the fact when I tried to preorder with them.. the order with through without giving me a shipping date. They took the order and some hours later I get a confirmation its going to be 21-28 days later. And they also charged me for it as well. I had to call them 3 times in order to cancel the order.
I'm actually happy everyone's cancelling their AT&T orders...hopefully it moves me up in the line.

I have a deep feeling everyone is overreacting and those shipment dates are a completely wrong estimate. A few people commented and said they did the same thing with the iPhone, 5 pre-orders but those individuals still received their device on launch day.

For the 6 plus? Even the AT&T rep said she hadn't seen any iPhone 6 plus with an delivery date before 10/31.
