AT&T Pre-order status

good things come to those ...

I've been through the iP ordering frenzy twice before and decided to avoid it this time around. I waited 'til almost midnight EDT on Sunday to order the 4.7-64GB Space Gray - an upgrade from my completed 2-year iP5 contract - and also switched to the NEXT plan. On Monday I checked shipping projection and the estimate was Oct 15 - 31. That still hadn't changed when I checked it again early this morning. One month - no biggie.

Anyway, about two hours later I was notified that the unit shipped yesterday and will be here tomorrow. If this is because someone cancelled their AT&T order and made it possible for me to slide into their empty slot, a big warm and fuzzy thank you! :)

I ordered my IPHONE 6+ at 2:50 and still dont get until 10/2 -13 so shut up.....

I had an old phone number work as my reference number, not my current digits. that may help some of you panickers
 
If you're willing to try ATT tomorrow. Beware.

I called my local ATT store (not disclosing names/location, because I know this employee personally and may have been told things I shouldn't have heard.)

My local store is only receiving under a dozen phones total tomorrow and are most likely going to be lower GB and 1 color.

It was also told to me after saying that I purchased a 128 Gray + that on 9/12 (Launch) ATT employees were sent an email from the main office stating that from about 10am onwards, that the 128+ Gray is the most popular model and is expected to be backed up until Nov.

So. Sorry for bad news guys.

It was also said to me that if you are brave enough to try in store, that the upgrade can only be used if your online order hasn't reached the point where it is dropping to ship.
 
No idea what i'm going to do...

I am on travel for work and won't get my iPhone till mid of Oct. My plan was, once I found that out, was to go to the AT&T store on launch day and pick one up by getting in line early and have them cancel my previous order. I just drove past the AT&T store and the parking lot is full, there is about 10 people already lined up with countless others just sitting in their cars.

At this point... I have no idea what to do. I keep reading all these reports from various managers and companies saying how few 6+ they are getting. Should I give it a shot and head there around 4-5am or just say screw it an wait a month and a half.

Edit - my iphone 5 hardly works and can't really hold a charge anymore so a new phone for me isn't just to have the latest and greatest... i actually need one.

I ordered at 1:46 CDT 14 Minutes before official start time and got an email today saying I am still for 10/2 - 10/13 not Tomorrow!

We may never know how AT&T is managing the so-called "First come, First Served" unless there is a class action law suit which I wouldn't be surprised if somebody has already done that or in the process of doing it with this much adrenaline going on :)

Unfortunately I don't believe that that the planes land and then another batch of phones, opens up, for the unfortunate "few", even if we "fell through the cracks".

I'll take a Saturday delivery, at this point (uh, Yea,... no kidding).

I was within the first 20 min of initial release. Kinda' wishing I would have slept in.

They are receiving them tomorrow? Like before the store opens? did they receive any today?
 
I ordered 30 hours past launch - I'm getting 3 on the 19th

I waited till Saturday mid morning to order. I never expected to get my phones, ordering through ATT I as given 2 date ranges, the soonest being Sept 23 and for the next 2 phones the soonest being Oct 2
This morning I received notifications that all three will be delivered tomorrow.
4.7's all of them and all 3 are 64 gb.
2 gold and one grey.
I've been kinda grumpy because I ordered late and ordered through ATT. I never thought I'd get my phones along with all the folks that ordered in the wee hours of the morning at launch.
Go figure. I'm happy!! :D

Im sure you can pick up a sweet 5C model since you if you dont mind about having the "latest and greatest"

Reading these posts are making me so compulsive too. ha. I keep calling the numbers and am going to try and buy one tomorrow from ATT. I can cancel when I get in line and see that I have a possibility to even get one. With that said, will they see my cancel ordered so i will still be eligible for my upgrade? What say you?
 
All these people that ordered iPhone 6+'s wee early in the morning only to find out it will not be delivered tomorrow... Very disappointing and I think we all should be compensated.

That's nonsense. Why would I downgrade and renew a 2 year contract with old tech? I purposely don't upgrade to the middle phones so I can jump from iphone 2 to 3 to 4.. and so on.

NOONE WHO ORDERED A 6+ FROM ATNT IS NOT GETTING ONE.

I ordererd at 3:15AM EST. 10/2 shipping.

Yes these morons who waited for the apple store to open at 7:00am EST ARE GETTNG THEIRS ON LAUNCH DAY

I do not know. I would assume they've probably already been delivered and are in the backroom safe.

I was told that a 10/2-13 Ship Window is actually great news at the point and that's what I'm currently under.

My sister is getting her Iphone 6 + 16GB White tomorow, She has tracking number and her original shipping date was 10/2-10/13.

I order the same phone and im stil waiting for tracking with same shipping date.

They will be delivered throughout the day/night and early morning.

I find that a little hard to believe being that I ordered the exact same model and nobody (except a few golds) have confirmed an at&t 6+ delivery.
 
Has anyone who ordered a 6+ 128gb any color getting one shipped tomorrow? Mine is space gray and is 10/02-10/13 and ordered at 1:30 am PT on ATT website with business premiere

Seems those with a 10/2-10/13 date are the ones getting the tracking numbers. I've only seen one 10/13-10/31 for the 6's.
 
Well, at least I won't have to waste a vacation day staying home and waiting for it. I'm sure as hell not standing in a line only to find they don't have any 6+ to begin with.
