I'm in the same boat, I ordered before 3 iPhone 6+ 128gb, before 3am EST time. I even got my first confirmation at 3:17am. All the 6+'s are reporting. 11/9-11/27.

My account is a business account, so I was forced to use premier. This is obviously how ATT treats there business clients. I'm so pissed at them I am ready to take my business back to Verizon. I've been with AT&T since the iPhone Original.
Hah! This is funny (no offense). The more things change the more they stay the same. I haven't read all 20 pages of this thread, but this is exactly how all iPhone releases go. People line up online to get their order in as soon as it is T-0, the web sites fall over, there is much gnashing of teeth. The 'tea leave' reading of every smallest email and text then begins, people pop in with BS "Confirmed!" posts from crap they heard from someone on the telephone that knows less than they do, people make orders then cancel orders, then stand in line then ask others what to do, then they make proclamations about how they are "so done with yadda yadda and moving on to <insert your alternative here>". It is all very entertaining. And in the end, the orders start to arrive. Then these same folks drift away after they realize that <shudder> they got an iPhone that is just a little bit different than the last one that they had. It makes calls, it runs iOS apps, perhaps a little faster, and after a few hours of looking at it, they go on with their lives.
I say to no one in particular, 3 - 6 weeks is the blink of an eye. If you don't know this now, wait till you get older and the clock seems like it is on steroids. Enjoy the anticipation and the chance to mingle with fellow enthusiasts here or in line. Because after it arrives, you'll marvel for a little bit, then the let down begins and you realize......it's just another phone. Then in two years the process will start all over again.

*disclaimer - waiting on ATT 64GB iP6 Plus as well, for my wife. And even then I still love the fleeting craziness that come with each release.:D

If anyone is like me, pre-order because we assumed that it would arrive to our homes on 9/19. You never know what you'll get heading to the store.

You were charged or there was a hold placed?

I called my credit card and said the charge went through.

When i ordered my iPhone 6 plus it said shipping was 14-21 days and now when i check the status on att it says shipping is 10/31-11/11 anyone else having this problem. i got my order placed in 27 mins of opening

I reserved my iPhone 6 Plus 17 minutes after opening. Ironically, the att.com store opened up 7 minutes early (11:53 PM PDT). I could have reserved it at 11:57 PM PDT, but even then it said 14-21 business day shipping times. So I waited for the Apple Store to open up.

Anyhow, I ended up reserving the same iPhone with apple.com three hours later because Apple was still reporting 7-10 business day shipping.

I am so glad I reserved that second iPhone with Apple because 16 hours later I got a text from AT&T saying my iPhone would be shipped between November 9th and 27th. I wan't too happy. I call AT&T to see if that was accurate and if I could cancel. It was then I saw an email from Apple requesting that I complete the order before September 13 at 9 AM. I completed the order right away with AT&T on the phone. I got it, two identical orders with the same Next Plan on the same phone number. That shouldn't have be able to work but it did!

The nice woman with AT&T said she had the option to cancel my order. That was wonderful. Now I'll get my iPhone 6 Plus from Apple on October 1-6 instead of November 9-27. Two weeks is better than two months!

I don't know, but even the next day, people may have better luck ordering an iPhone through Apple and canceling their order with their carrier if possible to get an earlier delivery.

I agree 100%. I am not forced to head into the store because I don't know when it will ship. If I see it has shipped thursday or when I wake up Friday then obviously I won't go to the store.

Same for me as the guy you replied to. MY account balance has dropped $1000... so even if they didn't "Charge" me.. the effectively did because I can't use that money.

Excellent post and I couldn't agree more!

To add: I too will be entertained by this chaos that I seem to find myself a part of every other iPhone release. It's a love hate thing!

Maybe it's wrong of me to think this, but I put in the effort to be up at 3am when preorders opened, so I feel like AT&T should allocate all of their 6 Plus phones to the preorders. To see that they will be available in store on Sep 19 when I ordered within 5 minutes of orders opening is a bit frustrating. Hopefully the dates are just place holders as others have said. Maybe I'll drop into a store just in case.

A preorder is a service. You're not entitled to anything, especially when you don't pay for it until it ships. Fanaticism is fanaticism because it is often not rewarded.

I ordered a Gold 64+ in store on 9/12 because online I couldn't keep my unlimited. I looked online it says Preparing to ship but the range has always been 10/31- 11-11-14. My visa card shows the preauthorization charge for the phone but has not been charged. Do other people with this date range show it saying preparing to ship?

On a side note i'm kind of regretting the gold and + now because I ordered my wife a 4.7 64Silver this afternoon and she got a text today saying it would be delivered 9/19-9/22.

except.. we have already paid... see the countless posts here where the money has been taken from peoples bank accounts... including mine. Thus, i feel entitled to something I was ordering with an expected date... not something 2 months after the fact.

You'll find most of the posters have seen that the charge was Pending and then went away. It's called a hold. It helps the carrier/apple verify your account isn't BS.

64gb

Spoke with a more competent AT&T rep; she said that the iPhone 6 64GB Space Gray had -- across the board -- poor ship estimates.

Anyone with an iPhone 6 64GB Space Gray received an estimate before mid-October?

Yup. I feel the same way. It's great for about 5 minutes then it's "big whoop."

Except my iPhone 5 is only held together by a binder clip at the top so the digitizer works ;) It'll be nice to not need that any more.

My orders were charged. I had a $1 hold which went away and the full price has been charged and posted.

Ordering a phone early isn't necessarily fanaticism. I have been dragging on with a miserable phone experience for months waiting for this phone launch because I'm done with android and didn't want a model that was about to be replaced soon. Not because I was chomping at the bit to upgrade my 5S. Why even offer preorders if you can't honor them in a reasonable time but will have them for sale in store at launch? Entitlement? No. Reasonable expectations? Sure.

Probably not...they've go warehouses scattered throughout the country. Shouldn't take more than 2 days to deliver to an address anywhere in the US for most people.
they will fly from china around the 17th to Alaska, then to louilville, then leave louilville on the 19 to your door. Same as every year!

Which one is black again?

Getting up at 3 AM to buy a $500 phone is probably fanaticism by a lot of definitions.

Ordered 9/12 at 2:30ish CST with 14-21 days shipping 'promise'

Preorder Processing
Expected Ship Date: 10/13/2014 To 10/22/2014

I don't really care when I get it. I sold my 5S and am rocking a slow as hell 3GS.

The thing that ticks me off the most is that the contract doesn't start until we receive the phone and activate so now it will really screw me in two years for iPhone 7. Thats what I'm most ticked about.

Also, I think time adjustments were based on model and color. Mine was a 6+ 64gb gold.

AT&T and Apple Mismatch

The level people are upset with AT&T in this forum is laughable. I would like to remind all of you that Apple doesn't disclose anything in terms of the internal processes to other companies, even those they are in close cahoots with. So here's why you all have rediculously far out shipping estimates (I have the 10/31-11/11 estimate too after preordering at 12:05PST). AT&T doesn't have a damn clue when those phones will ship. So those estimates are literally a COMPLETE guess. They are making extremely conservative estimates to cover their asses. As soon as a phone is assigned to you, then a tracking number will appear, and then you will know when you're getting your phone. Until then, those shipping estimates might as well be for 2020, because they mean nothing.
