My order with 14-21 days shipping was also put on hold, called them yesterday, got someone on phone after after 2 hrs wait and cleared the descrepancies. By today, my card is charged 925 dollars, att order status says Preparing to ship, shipping estimate says Nov 11-27. It's all ****ed up.
Cutting journalists heads off on camera to show the world your religious point of view is fanaticism. Getting up at 3am to buy something you're excited about is not.

I see a lot of Silver and Graphite ordered. How about Gold 6+s? Anyone order one and get a 9/19 delivery date or ship notification for AT&T?
I just have a UPS My Choice account. It lists all deliveries that are scheduled to my address. On a whim I checked it and this package was listed.

AT&T's order status page doesn't have any tracking info yet. It still just says it's "preparing to ship".
Gotcha, I just signed up for it haha. No info yet, but both ATT emails are saying delivery on the 19th. But they do say preparing to ship and shipping estimates of the 17th or 18th so who knows lol.

You shouldn't need Premium to get status/notifications of deliveries. Premium, I think, is only for things like re-routing during mid-ship and things like that.

This is exactly what happened to me. My order of events:
November 12th
1:59 AM CST I checked and AT&T's portal was already open. I placed my order for a silver 128GB 6+
2:04 AM CST I received an email from AT&T thanking me for my order with a shipping window of 14-21 days. Note in the email states "*** For preorders, charges will be processed on date of shipping and will include actual, applicable taxes, fees, and surcharges, which may vary from the quoted estimate."
2:04 AM CST my discover card was charged $1.00
5:52 AM CST I received an email from AT&T with an order status and updated shipping date of 10/13 to 10/22.
7:51 PM CST I received a text stating: "Congratulations! Your order has been processed. You will be notified when your order has shipped."
8:00 PM CST - my discover card was charged for the full price of the phone including fees and taxes.
November 13th
9:07 AM CST I received a text stating: "Congratulations! Your order has been processed. You will be notified when your order has shipped."
So - how is it that AT&T can charge my card when their email communication clearly states they won't charge my phone until it ships?! When I log in and check my status it still shows a ship date of 10/13 to 10/22.
AT&T has a serious problem on their hands if they are charging people a month prior to receiving their devices.

I did the same for the exact same reason. Except I don't know how to check my order status and I was reassured I would get my pre order on Friday.
Also their systems were running super slow because the 3 people that were their at opening to pre order took as long as me to have their order process. Except my order for stuck after I swiped my card. So the rep decided to go to the home screen on the iPad and open the app (I hate when people do this on the iPad). The app had him the login and my order was in the system but he had to talk to a manager to see if it went through. After a few minutes came out and gave me a receipt.
I was told I would get a text or email when it ships. No confirm or anything. Can't check online at att.com/wirelessorderstatus but if I check my upgrade eligibility or call 611 it tells me "I have ordered new equipment and if I would like to activate it".
Pretty much I'm going to try to stay patient till Monday and if my order isnt in or whatever I'm going to be pissed. The only reason this is difficult because we still have unlimited. If it wasn't for that I would've had my order in with apple. When I went to pre order from apple I was 9/19 ship or pick up but unlimited wasn't on the list so I backed out. Saw the same on atts website. So that's why I went to the store in the morning.
Both my 3gs and 4s were via att in store and it was guaranteed for Friday pickup even with the crazy demand. This year I don't feel as lucky anymore.
If it wasn't for OIS I would've had my phone secured already
I feeel you on this one - i ordered thru att as well to keep my grandfathered plan in and i had to contact att chat to confirm if the plans were the same and indeed it was - nothing has changed or hasnt been edited or added. Guess its the only smart decision to do, not sure if doing this option thru the apple store would have changed anything.

I'm only marginally better off. 10/31-11/11.
I'll give them until Wednesday.
Everything should be sorted by then, and if its the same then I'm canceling and just going to the AT&T store and getting one.
