I called the premiere number today spoke to lady and explained my situation of how I was informed I couldn't cancel my order as of yesterday and I too ordered the 6 plus with a shipping window of 10/2 to 10/13 I was calm as I could and explained that it's unacceptable that i can't buy a phone in stores if I wanted the regular 6, since my phone is in a warehouse ready to ship supposedly aka pending shipping... She understood and just said I felt there was no reason I should have to pay the silly $40 activation upgrade fee... She was very helpful and stated it shouldn't be an issue but made a case and stated her manager would call tomorrow or Monday. I thanked her for her time and wished her the best through this mess!

I'm really curious to see what happens in the next few days. I've read so many articles, posts, comments about people who have used a 6+ and don't like it and want to get the 6. I really think people had no idea what they were getting into when they ordered the 5+ inch phone... I mean... it's a big ass phone.
 
I pre ordered 64GB + gold on 9/12 at 4:30 am. The only reason I did not receive my phone today is I ordered through att premier ###### !!!!

I like the big screen seeing how i mostly use my phone to text and check emails and what not.

I initially ordered the 6+ on Saturday through ATT, saw the mockup that was posted, canceled and had to wait 3 days for the ordered to actually cancel. Reordered Wednesday and it was shipped today. Figured I'd go for Gold since everyone was getting the other colors and it appeared to ship fast. Noticed that 3 more planes were set to arrive so hopefully, they will start moving this weekend!!
 
Honestly, I can live with the delayed delivery but, what I'm really upset about is the fact other people who ordered the same exact phone as me but ordered after I did, got theirs today. Mine is still stuck on the 10/2-10-13 shipping date range.

That's why I'm so upset. How is it first come, first serve? Fine, I have accepted that it'll come in 2-3 weeks. But to think others that ordered after me are playing with their shiny new phones just irks me. First iphone launch I have not received an iphone.

How is that possible that you ordered on Wednesday to already get a shipping date?! Did you re-order the plus?

And that includes me. I handled the Galaxy S5 and figured a little bigger would be OK. Now I can't decide whether all the people changing their minds will be my reaction as well. I could easily see AT&T and Apple getting a really large number of 14 day returns on the 6+'s once people actually handle them. How ironic would that be? And what would they do with them?
 
I'm surprised I haven't crashed AT&T website due to the insane amount of times I have refreshed my order status... It's not going to change... yet I can't stop refreshing... helpppp me!!!

ATT pre-order

When i ordered my iPhone 6 plus it said shipping was 14-21 days and now when i check the status on att it says shipping is 10/31-11/11 anyone else having this problem. i got my order placed in 27 mins of opening

I am really pissed off and having the same issue. I ordered at 3:05am and don't think they processed it until the next morning. I might not get mine until Nov.

I'm not actually sure.. I'm sure they would have to send them somewhere.. have them cleaned..inspected.. and repackaged like a new phone. Anyone with any scratched of any kind would have to get fixed. This is just my guess.

Is it legal to do that or do they have to sell as refurbs? I don't know either.
 
so many if my friends have uploaded their photos of their 6 pluses on instagram and it makes me sad. I don't understand what the hold up is. I'm really upset and I don't understand how I'm in the next batch of shipments

no idea... everything I said was pure speculation. I would assume the difference between a refurb and a "new" phone is that one has noticeable wear on it.

Edit - but then again.. when you break your phone and go to Apple don't they give you a refurb? This could be what they use it for.

Initially I ordered the plus, cancelled and ordered the 6 late Wed and was given a date 0f 9-26 to Oct 3. I used the app this evening and shows that it shipped. The desktop did not update till a few minutes ago so I believe the app is the most current information. Ironically the reference number is not my phone number or order number as some has suggested earlier!

I totally & completely sympathize with you. AT&T took what should have been a fun & awesome experience & totally screwed it up for it's customers. I understand limited supply. What I don't understand is keeping people in the dark about their order, (for a WEEK), not having a CLUE what's going on when you call, & shipping them out of order they were received.

so many if my friends have uploaded their photos of their 6 pluses on instagram and it makes me sad. I don't understand what the hold up is. I'm really upset and I don't understand how I'm in the next batch of shipments

Noticed that my contract started on the 12. That means I am paying for a phone that I don't have. I'm sure my bill will come with with the total payment for the month and not partial.

As much as we all hate AT&T right now (I don't but alot of people do).. it's honestly Apples fault.. for two reasons

1)They shouldn't have pushed the release this close if they didn't have enough 6+.. they had production issues and knew there wasn't alot.

2)Had the Apple store been up at midnight like they said, an insane amount of people would have ordered from there and NOT from AT&T. The rush to preorder made AT&T, I'm sure, way over their estimated preorders.
