I tried canceling my order as well this morning but was unable to do so. The cancel order button on the website resulted in an unsuccessful email and the live chat vs rep was unable to cancel as well. He stated that the order "had dropped in to the shipping system." Hopefully my order status will update with good news soon, though now I can't go pick one up locally today. :/

Preorder of 6+ Silver 64gb placed at 3:03am EDT with confirmation email received at 4:34am, through AT&T Premier. Originally in 10/13-10/22 window, bumped up to 10/2-10/13 a few days ago.
 
Don't cancel your orders!

I've been following this forum since it started and I was getting frustrated just like everyone else. But there is now an opening in the dark clouds!

My iPhone just shipped around 2:43 this morning! I ordered the iPhone 6+ 128 GB SG. Should get it by Monday by 3:00 PM. I ordered at 2:03 AM and got my confirmation email at 2:07 AM. I originally was in the Oct. 13-24 shipping range and was bumped up to Oct. 2-13 on Tuesday. Also a premier customer. FWIW, I work for AT&T as an engineer and I got shafted too :D. Monday is only a few days away!

Try using the app to check shipping. The app showed a tracking number 6 hours before it appeared on att site!!
 
I could not wait any longer, 2 plus orders cancelled, officially. btw the cancel button worked on the premier site and it restored my upgrade eligibility immediately. Walking into the apple store as soon as it opens to get my phones. :apple: checked stock already.

Canceled my At&T pre-order and ordered for pickup today at the Apple store. This is for an Iphone 6 plus 64GB.

Cancellation took 5 minutes. The order is officially canceled once you get a second email from At&T saying your order is Canceled. You then become eligible again.
 
Cancelled our two orders for 6 Plus Space Gray 64GB both with est 10/2-10/13. Eligibility was almost immediate after cancellation over phone.

Apple SF had them available for pickup! So we will get our phones today!

Apple store pickup availability seems to change hourly! Keep checking and good luck everyone!

how do you check stock without having to put in a bunch of personal info?
 
Why not spread the anger to Apple?

It seems to me that AT&T screwed the pooch on this one but if Apple was less concerned about providing walk-in stock at the stores and more concerned about keeping the faithful and loyal pre-orderers happy, AT&T would have more stock and be able to fulfill orders.
It is sad that a pre-order made on the AT&T site - only because the Apple site was down - is not filled before walk ins. Apple has the power to change this and reallocate stock. They are choosing not to and are prioritizing their own retail sales (more profitable) over the loyal customers who ordered elsewhere.

TCook@apple.com would be a great sounding board for frustration.
 
Tried to cancel mine this morning. It was unsuccessful. Saw that Apple store had 6+ but they don't do personal pickup for next. Wonder if mine couldn't cancel cause it's shipping or cause premier isn't open on weekends.
 
Just checked stock at Apple store in Providence and found that they had the Gold iPhone 6+ 128Gb available. Canceled preorder and placed order online for in store pickup.

Also, went I went to my Premier order page and selected Cancel preorder, it only took a few minutes for the my eligibility to shift back. I would recommend that if you have an Apple Store close, check their availability.
 
I also was able to cancel my premier preorder and got pickup option for today at Apple store. 6+ 64GB Gold. So happy despite the frustration with AT&T all week. I just want my dang phone! :)
 
Does anyone know if once I buy my phone in store on either next or 2 year, if I can call Att and change the plan? Or is it final once the payment goes through?
 
There are tons of ATT iPhone 6 models available on apple.com website for pickup in multiple areas like the Washington DC area.

I see lots of options available say in Tyson's or Arlington location. You can reserve and pick it up.
 
dang... hopefully with all these cancelations I will get mine sooner. I need them to make some changes to my plan and I don't think Apple will be able to do it. I would hate to cancel only to be told I need to go to AT&T.

This sucks..I'm on a business trip some 10 hours from my house. My local Apple store has my phone avail for pickup.. if only I was close to home.

I asked if I would get it this week since it's already at a warehouse, they said no, it's still going to be within the shipping time frame in my order status. I'm so mad right now. I know this sounds like a first world problem but it seems stupid that I have to wait 2-3 weeks for something I can go pick up today.

That's insane.. and makes no sense. Until it has literally shipped from the warehouse I don't understand why you cant cancel your order.
