Trying to use it... it won't even load for me.

I was lucky order canceled, upgrade eligibility reset. I think they are being hammered with these requests today as people are able to pick up at a number of places locally.

Wait - so next customers can't get the phone from Apple? Why would they advertise the next program on their website then?

It might be existing Next customers can't but new ones can. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am not a Next customer
 
Does anyone know if once I buy my phone in store on either next or 2 year, if I can call Att and change the plan? Or is it final once the payment goes through?

What exactly are you needing to do? I had to do a ton of things with my finaces plan yesterday. I messed up and didn't get it on the Next plan.. long story short when her phone arrived in the mail we had to go to AT&T and have them change it.. the basically refunded the phone and then sold it to us again on the right plan.

So... you can't do things once the phones activated.

Either am I; I'm going to call Apple right now and find out.
 
I just cancelled mine online. Went to the premier site and clicked on the "cancel order" tab. Got a series of emails -
1. First one asking me to confirm the cancellation via a link
2. Second email indicated that they were processing my request
3. Third email indicating that my request was confirmed

At this point I was able to go on apple's site and order online for in-store pickup.

Then I got a 4th email from ATT Premier mentioning my cancellation and stated that if this was in error I can call back the premier's 1-866 number Mon-Fri (go to hell).

I'm waiting for my confirmation of when I can go to the apple store to pickup.
 
I'm trying to order on apple.com for pick-up but it doesn't give me the option to keep my grandfathered unlimited messaging plan at $10. Instead, it wants me to choose one of three options, pay per use, unlimited messaging at $20 or Enterprise messaging at $20. So frustrating! I do see the option to keep my unlimited data plan though.

It only took a few minutes for mine to go from ineligible to upgrade to eligible
 
Has anyone received shipping confirmation for the 6 plus gold 64gb with original shipping dates of 10/2-10/13
 
So I'm business Premier and Apple cannot see my account online. I preordered via ATT Premier and getting a 6 plus via Next upgrade.

Apple stores locally have some phones. The only way to buy it with a "hold for pickup" would be as a new phone, new account on a 2 year contract. Does anyone know if Apple has in-store service accessibility to Premier accounts where it could be upgraded and processed as a Next upgrade?

I didn't know apple doesn't process next orders, wouldve sucked to cancel my preoder and not being able to buy one currently available

It gives you the option on the Apple website but people are saying you can't do it at the actual Apple store

I just tried to do it online and got all the way through until it told me I can't upgrade (its because I have an existing preorder). Can you do this all online, but request to pick it up in store? Wouldn't that be the best thing to do (if its an option)?

This Apple woman is telling me otherwise... she said they can process NEXT. It doesn't make sense that people are saying they can't. Its even advertised on their website... But.. obviously people were told they couldn't do it; I'm just wondering why.
 
Doing an online chat with AT&T now. Don't even know why I am waisting my time. Their just going to tell me the same things i already know.

Apple online can only do it if you are upgrading and subsequently need access to your account. If you're business Premier, you're screwed.

No idea. For some reason you can't select next and do an in store pickup it has to be shipped. I know I just got up (PST) and I'm going down to an apple store soon to see what is what. They aren't showing anything available in my area for any phones and I know that isn't the case. Crossing my fingers it works out.

No idea. For some reason you can't select next and do an in store pickup it has to be shipped. I know I just got up (PST) and I'm going down to an apple store soon to see what is what. I spoke with Apple. They said if you want to go ATT next. Just order iPhone as an "upgrade" if you are on mobile share plan.

After receiving your iPhone call ATT and they will correct it for you and put you on ATT NEXT.

Just checked online and now all my local Apple stores are showing unavailable (they were available less than an hour ago). Very frustrating.

Check throughout the day.. Fedex and UPS deliver all day. You wouldn't want to cancel your order and get screwed. At least now we know you can do your next, just gotta call AT&T after the fact.


The apple rep I'm talking to isn't much help. She tried to send me to AT&T and I was like well this is an Apple issue, your stores are the ones turning people away. She is now telling me it will take 5 days for my refund to go active if I cancel a preorder...
 
Just cancelled my order through at&t by use of their live chat. Canceled the order in 5 mins and upgrade eligibility became available immediately (or so it seemed).

I'm sure glad my preorder cancellation was unsuccessful. I wouldve been pissed if that happened but I wouldve bought the phone on a 2 year contract then went to att and made them change it before activating.

do you guys think that because I can't cancel my preorder it means it shipped or about to ship ?

Yep - this is what I thought too. I wasn't going to argue with Apple.. I know she is just reading it from notes.

Apple rep just told me to cancel my order and then wait for the upgrade to reset.. then place a new order.

Considering this is what I told her I was going to do already.. she hasn't helped me a bit. I just want to know if they can process the damn next orders in store.
 
Same here.

Will never order from ATT online shop again... the worst and most unorganized preordering process ever! So mad people who ordered the same iphone as i am got theirs before me!!! like seriously WTF was the point of me staying up during midnight launch when youre not even going to honor first come first serve policy. NEVER EVER AGAIN AT&T.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Same thing happend to me 4 of 5 years ago, swore off ATT ordering site, Apple is by far the easiest and most organized, however I gotta say this year I got into AT&T first at about 12:30 and they both arrived on the 19th. Wasn't until 1:05am was I able to log into Apple and the iPhone 6 arrived on the 19th but the plus not expected until next wed.
