End of my saga

Don't know if this was answered already but does Apple process AT&T Next orders? Has anyone done it in store?

Had ordered via att site at 12:10 am on 12 sep for IP+ 16gb SG. My order was stuck on 10-2 delivery.

This morning checked our local apple store and lo and behold it had the same model. Cancelled my att model and picked my shiny device from apple store:rolleyes:

I've been calling radioshacks around my house some of them may have some left after they fulfil they're preorders. They get their units thru fed ex. Some of them have a waiting list for people that did not preorder with them.

I'm not sure if RadioShack takes preorders. The AT&T rep told my wife that every iPhone that comes to the store must be used for those who reserved. I hope that's true.

Were you able to snag any yet?

So who here has the same scenario as me.

Iphone 6+ SG 64gb
Shipping 10/2-10/13

Who just got shipping for Monday?
Who didn't?

I just checked my Apple Store's availability for the iPhone 6 plus and they have them all in stock except for the 64gb model which is the one I want. I guess it's a good thing because I'm really looking forward to the $200 gift card for my iPhone 5 from AT&T.

Question. Can you place an order for in-store pickup and will they reserve the unit for you? There is the phone I want in Augusta, 2 hours away, and I would be so upset if I drove and they said "sorry, we don't hold it, first come first served"

Ordered a 16gb 6 plus space grey around 3:40 eastern, still have a 10/2 - 10/13 shipping date. Nothing has changed all week.

Don't cancel your 6+ preorder

My 6+ preorder was "preparing for shipment" in the 10/2-10/13 range like everyone else. This morning I got a fedex tracking number. It will be here Monday.

Note that my order was a premier order. I was also one of those people whose order was "canceled" (the reason being I was ineligible for upgrade, which was incorrect).

128GB space gray 6+, premier order placed 11:54PM PDT Sep 11. Order confirmation received 12:10AM PDT Sep 12.

Excellent point. Walk-ins the day after a launch should not be able to get iPhones before loyal customers who wake up at 3am on a work day to preorder their latest device.

That doesn't make any sense. It's really not very hard to set your alarm to wake up in the middle of the night, then click your mouse button a few times and go back to sleep. How does that make you a more loyal customer than someone who wakes up early to wait in line for hours to MAYBE get a phone on launch day?

You people feel like you're so entitled. It's sad.

Before you blame ATT

Before you blame ATT let me just let you know that reason for them not being able to fill orders is the company who's products you love - Apple. Apple holds back on ALL suppliers so that they always have more stock than anyone else. They are horrible at allowing any other authorized dealers to have enough stock to satisfy demand. As a former authorized dealer I can tell you they have always been that way and are just getting worse. They would prefer to be the only source for their products. ATT is a huge company and would buy as many phones as possible if they could, not that I want to defend a huge company like ATT. But behind the scenes Apple is just a huge horrible company just like any other. Difference is that for the time being they still have the products and software we love.

thats cool and all bud, but people are frustrated with at&T's lack of communication..everyone knows apple holds the keys to the storage on their phones....but damn...tell me me "hey we are out for a while, when apple gives us more we'll ship" instead, there's no word, mass confusion..and utter dissappointment.

So some apple stores in CA do have iPhone 6 + for pick up, But if you want to order thru the Next Plan you cannot pick up in stores. Glad i didn't cancel my preorder with att.

- ordered a 64gb space gray 6+ at 315 AM EST on the premier website for NYC delivery
- confirmation email received at 450 EST with 14-21 biz days delivery
- november delivery got bumped to 10/2-10/13 shortly afterwards
- nothing has changed since

just checked the apple app and found availability for pickup today at the 5th ave, so i canceled my premier order. Checked the apple app an hour before and there was nothing, so it seems they get shipments throughout the day.

so much time wasted getting up early to order, constantly checking status... never again am i ordering from at&t and given how they handled this, i would be switching to verizon today if i wasn't grandfathered on unlimited at&t data

next plan, 6 Plus

I am in same boat. I renewed my two year contract last fall to get a 64 GB 5s and they bought my 5 back for $450 at Best Buy. So my only option to get my hands on the 6 Plus (with that camera that really sold me on it) is the Next plan so I too figured I might as well be content to wait and get mine in the famous 10/2-10/13 we are all stuck at. But if the rest of you who can keep canceling maybe my 128 GB SG 6 Plus will get here sooner ;)

Just cancelled my 128 + SG premier order because i found availability locally. They only have gold but what the heck. At least this way ill get try it first. If i am underwhelmed i think im gonna go for the note edge next month

I was told by an AT&T rep that Apple has priority for two weeks

I saw that the 6+ SG 64gb was available for pickup in the 5th Ave Apple store (im in Brooklyn). So I cancelled my pre-order and have it for in-store pickup today. I'll leave in a bit. Why did I pre-order at all?

My hasn't shipped either. Good luck.

They do take pre-orders I was there yesterday trying to see if they go any 6 plus in Stock... Only pre-orders were left but didn't say what model.

Only good news I have is when I call the automated number regarding shipping it is now saying my order is being processed, gives me my order number and estimated shipping date... And yes it's the dreaded 10/2 to 10/13 for the SG 6 plus!

That is what happened last time too. They rolled the inventory out in stages. A certain amount of pre-orders to carriers and direct through Apple, then the stores for a couple of weeks, then back to the pre-orders after a couple of weeks. I have almost no hope we will be getting them before the 10/3 date. Maybe a bit, but almost certainly not early next week as many are hoping.

Well friends, I finally got my phone and am good to go. Those of you who are stuck, I would strongly encourage you to look into canceling your pre-orders and checking out your local apple store. I did that this morning and there was not only plenty of availability but I was able reserve one online and after I got a text confirmation that my phone was ready, I showed up and was 5th in line and had phone in hand about 15 min later. I will never ever ever ever ever pre-order from AT&T again.

Good luck!
