Same thing happened to me, still trying to figure out if this is good or bad...
Thought I'd put this here for perspective. This is a random post from the iPhone 4s pre order. It's funny because the trend in issues lines up almost perfectly with how they appear in this thread.

According to them, the order never went through. Even though I received a confirmation e-mail, with a confirmation number, which does lead to a status page, they say it's not valid, and she has no phone reserved for delivery.
Once more, never ordering from AT&T again. I'm calling again in the morning anyway for a last ditch effort to solve this, but as of now it's looking like I'm lining up at the Apple Store for her phone... after getting up at 2:30 last week for a pre-order and getting a confirmation..."

So um...all these people commenting they ordered on ATT before midnight...how? I logged in and there was a countdown timer till midnight. At around 3:05est the doors opened and I could make a purchase (due to heavy traffic). I was on the site well before midnight and couldn't do anything...so how did so many people on this board get there's between 11:45-11:59 PST on September 11th? (-_-)
I have tried multiple times to get this verified. Tried home and cell phone and get nothing sent to verify. Or I get name or nickname already used and I have deleted my profile before re-starting.
I definitely wouldn't try and go to an AT&T store to get the 6 or 6+... Your best bet is to try Apple Store on the 19th. AT&T store will be in short supply.
They can't "punish" people because their site let them in. One of the carriers had to break street date first then the others followed. As a company they really can't "punish" that would be terrible business. Now if someone hacked the website to get in thats a legal issue but people who simply logged on and placed an order is totally different.
Also the use of "legally" is wrong here. Theres no law its just a handshake deal between apple and retail stores.
Oh please! We didn't sneak anywhere. Just like millions of others,we were trying to order just like you. And we did it illegally? And you make this absurd statement that we are getting bumped. Do you need attention that badly? Stop trolling.
Anyone who has "Pending Confirmation" should sign up for UPS my choice. Mine just popped up. Will arrive Friday.
Yeah, I ordered the 6 plus 64g space grey. Previous to this morning, my expected ship dates where 11/9/2014 - 11/27/2014 at the AT&T site as well as the premier order status page. I had also received two texts from AT&T saying "Congrats, Confirmed, etc.". This morning, I checked the status via the Premier e-mail I had received - now it says "Pending Confirmation" for the ship date. I also logged into my account at the AT&T site - now it says "Backordered".
So I have no clue what the hell is going on with my order.

Im in that early category and all I did was log on my account. I don't know why it let some people in and not others. I think it was just the sheer volume on the site while they were getting ready to go live.
Around 1145a pacific the site went live and started accepting pre orders. I noticed it toggled between the countdown timer and the live screen. Either way the orders were accepted and confirmation emails were sent out. I'm thinking it was a glitch on ATT's part.

My shipment date changed from 10/13-22 to 10/2-13 this morning. I placed this order five minutes before pre-order started thru Premier.
I ordered an iphone 6 16gb silver right after and is now saying your order is being processed when before it had a ship date of 9/17-18.

It's getting a shipping label. I keep saying this, but I want everyone to be satisfied. If you sign up your address for UPS MyChoice, there is a 50% chance you will see your device!
They are just updating their systems. You'll be fine, really don't worry. This has been a stamped for them with volume and cancels and everything else. The dust is settling and by Mid week everything will be straitened out.
Mine took a couple of hours after the change over happened. I still wouldn't be worried. They might be shipping FedEx
Can't get Mychoice to verify and I've tried 5 times now. Never get code sent via call or home phone.
Yep. I saw someone post here that they had gotten through ATT while refreshing the Apple page. I hopped over to att.com and the preorder button was there on the front page - no countdown timer, just the same page as the hour before but the preorder button was live. Completed my DHs order, then went back and did mine. No sneaking required! Oddly, I went back to att.com about an hour later and got the "it's coming" page that automatically refreshed once it was your "turn".
My estimated ship date on my iphone 6 changed from 9/23-10/2 to 9/17-9/18. 6+ order changed from 10/31-11/11 to 10/13-10/22
So looks like I'll at least get the 6 on launch day
