I think what happened was people could order early by going through the back door by "checking upgrade eligibility" screen. It allowed you to skip the queue.
My orders also updated today:
iPhone 6, 128gb, Space Gray went from est. ship date 9/17-9/18 to "Processing"
iPhone 6P, 64gb, Gold went from est. ship date 10/13-10/22 to "Back-Ordered"
Really hoping that back-order status updates to an October ship date at the latest.

Mine did. When you sign up for myChoice, UPS shows you any packages with printed shipping labels going to your address.

Yeah, but I didn't do that and ordered early. The "preorder" button was live on the main page when I went there. It looked just like it looks today if you go to att.com for me. I didn't have to use a backdoor method or anything. It was very strange! Later, it was completely different as the volumes were crazy.
I'm premier and ordered at 2:00 central time. my order date changed to 9/13 with a ship date 11/09/14 - 11/27/14. Thinking of cancelling on thursday and trying to get a store to get it or just put in an order with apple.com AT&T service for premier has been a big thumbs down for the last couple months.
I'm on the MY UPS page.Where exactly does it show your shipment? TIA. I have another package coming but was aware of that one.
I didn't make the original claim based on bad stats.
In fact, I'm betting someone their stats are wrong. I'm trying to help people, not argue impossible to prove statistics.

Go to "Tracking", then hit "UPS My Choice". A calendar shows with scheduled delivery dates.
Mine was 11/9-11/27 just a few hours ago...now changed to

Same here. Hopefully it'll show later this afternoon on MY UPS or simply they are using FEDEX. My order was at 255am.

No worries. You're all good. I have the same thing on AT&T's page. Your phone is chillin in Memphis, TN. It might just ship FedEx

What was your method of cancelling the order? Did you have to verify your wish to cancel through an email that they sent you?

I ordered the 128GB iPhone 6 plus as soon as the pre order started.
This afternoon on the AT&T website my shipping date changed from 10/31-11/11 to now 10/13-10/22.
Hopefully it gets moved up to 9/19...
A $1 hold and a $543 hold is still on my credit card..

Another cancellation means another customer will receive the phone earlier-hopefully. Or you'd think so.
