AT&T Pre-order status

Ordered my IP6 at 12:02 Friday morning from the AT&T website. Got the email confirmation. Checked it today and it says "preparing for shipment" shipping on the 17th or 18th for delivery on the 19th.

How do you know it is to be delivered by UPS or Fedex?
 
Is anyone still showing 9-17/9-18 ship date and still preparing to ship? Both my confirmation emails are saying delivery on 9/19 but I know people that are same area as me are getting "pending". I went with an iPhone 6 16GB Silver

If you sign up for MyChoice and it appears, you know it's UPS. Otherwise, it's either not assigned a tracking number yet or it's FedEx.

Thanks. I have a MyChoice account and it does not show up....so guessing it is going to be Fedex?
 
I made 3 orders at 2:45 AM ET through the premiere site and I just checked my orders statuses and they have changed which is making me nervous.

Original
1: iPhone 6+ 128GB Gold: 10/02/2014 to 10/13/2014
2: iPhone 6+ 16GB Gold: 10/02/2014 to 10/13/2014
3: iPhone 6 16GB Gold: 9/17/2014 to 9/18/2014

Now

Can I cancel my pre-order if it still has not been processed?

I did my preorder with AT&T using the AT&T Next program.

iPhone 6 Plus Silver 64GB

Placed my order about 2:10AM - 2:20AM CST after I was able to access the AT&T site. Apple was still down at this point for me.

Order number starts with: 711
Item Status: Preparing to Ship

Estimated ship date was originally: 10/31/14 - 11/11/14

Update this morning: 10/13/14 - 10/22/14

Mine did get pushed up as well. I also tried creating the UPS account nothing showing up for me as of yet.

FedEx has a similar service called FedEx Delivery Manager. It will text you when a package with your name and address is created.

Agreed. And for what it's worth, I signed up for UPS Choice a few hours ago and an hour later I got notification of a shipment that I already had coming to me (job related). So, as with anything else, it may take time to update after you sign up.

I ordered same exact phone from same site at roughly 3:54am EST (about 30-40 minutes after you) and had expect Oct. 13 changed to the 3rd. So numbers are way off if in fact it goes in order or purchase...
My best guess is we all get it around the first week.

Edit* actually ordered the Grey. Not silver. Sorry.
 
I placed my order in the first 2-3 minutes and have a ship date in october.

I received my confirmation email at around 1:30 AM PT. Did anyone else have a long delay between the order & confirmation?
 
Ordered the silver 64G 6+ at 2:40am central, Friday morning.

Said 2 to 3 weeks delivery at time of order, later went to a 15 to late Nov delivery date. Today it's saying 2 to 13th October.

Big step in the right direction.

It's apparent AT&T had no clue when you were going to get your device when you ordered.

I think so, but I know you can't cancel your preorder once it has been processed through AT&T.

So let me get this right. You got an email saying it will be on time and your here asking questions?

This is the club for the kids who got no emails at all or emails that say some time in November

Since u asked, usually the ones that say 9/19 really mean 12/19

I ordered my Grey 6+ 64GB at 3:25. I'm praying it doesn't take until October. Currently says 10/2/14-10/13/14. It was saying 10/23/24-10/22/14 until about an hour ago.
 
My order for iPhone 6+ placed at 11:45am pacific, confirmation email said 10/2-10/13. I am now pushed back to 10/13-10/22 per ATT status.

Crazy idea but is there a chance that showing "backordered" could be a good sign in this situation? I ask because all the people who show backordered, including myself, placed their orders very early. For example, I ordered mine at 2:57AM EST and I received my email conf time stamped at 3:01am.
 
Do you guys think the delivery guy will leave the package if I leave a signed note telling them to leave the package by the door?

Well, that's the issue with AT&T.. that they have no clue. It's really up in the air. When I tried pre-ordering that Friday morning.. I kept getting errors with Apple App Store and when going to AT&T Online it went through with ease. Yet, with Apple it gave us a date before we even attempted to order. With AT&T there's no way to know for sure when first pre-ordering it... I totally understand due to AT&T is relying on Apple. But it's just kind of wacky right now..
