AT&T Pre-order status

same thing happened to me two years ago with the iphone 5 preorder......our shipping estimated days etc.....will change at least 3-4 times thoughtout the week fellas everyone just needs to let everything take its course...and if you ordered in time you should be fine....

I made this comment earlier. I would be worried about the device being stolen. Once you have a tracking number, you can usually tell FedEx or UPS not to request a signature.

I was more or less just asking if more experienced pre-orderers think I'm in the clear for a 9/19 delivery.

Yes or I believe you can print out a form from UPS or Fedex that you sign and leave at the door.

I ordered 15 minutes early as well and both my 6 Plus Orders had to the same original date and have also moved back to the next week. My iPhone 6 order went from launch to "Pending Confirmation". Did you order through Premiere or the standard site?
 
Curious......Everyone that is ordering the IP6+ and seeing delivery pushed back to Oct or Nov. Why not just go to an Apple store sometime before that and pick one up? I doubt there will be lines after the first day. Maybe try the monday after release day? Or is not an Apple store close to you?

Received my confirmation email within a minute of ordering. Ordered about 15 before you and my status still says "order processing"
 
My pre-order has gone really smooth with AT&T so far - I got in at 2:44 AM CST, ordered, had my confirmation, etc. and now the status just changed to "SHIPMENT STATUS: Our fulfillment center is processing your order for shipment. In Progress"

I have a theory that I can confirm on Monday that Apple has ordered sufficient inventory for all Premier/business customers so that it can be visible in the halls of power, as it were.

You could be on to something. I too ordered the 6+ 64GB SG at 12:05PDT and mine recently went to "backordered" (the other 2 regular 6's are showing 9/17-18 shipping and they were ordered about 20 minutes later).

If it's shipped UPS, they usually just leave it at the door - that is, if you ordered from AT&T - at least that's what happened when I ordered the 5s and the iPad mini (at separate times). No signatures were required, they just dumped them on my doorstep. Luckily, I had kept an eye on the tracking, so I worked from home those days.

I ordered a bit later than you and got bumped up to 10/13-10/21 from 10/31-11/11.

I'm starting to think ATT has literally sold all their allocated phones, at least for the 6 Plus, and we are just going to have to wait for the next batch/shipment.
 
I ordered a 6+ gold 128GB just before order time when the ATT site went live. My first email said 14-21 days. When I got my order status email, the website said ships Oct 13-22. As of this morning, the shipping date says Pending Confirmation. Anyone else see this status or know what it means?
 
Yesterday my order said 10/13 - 10/31 and today it says 09/17-09/18 and never got a "Congratulations!" Text or email, just my order confirmation within second of my ordered been processed, so that makes me happy.

My status shows backordered, but I didn't pre-order until 10am est.

That's because there were a hell of a lot more 6's available than 6 Pluses.

APPLE ships the bulk to a warehouse but embargoes are placed on the items to companies that are not of apple so no product can be shipped before launch day.
AT&T has to sort through all the iPhones and put them in new packaging with customers shipping address.

I find it incredibly hard to believe AT&T will delay iPhone Plus shipments beyond a month. All October delivery dates should arrive by the end of September.
