Got my iPhone 6+

After cancelling my order(64GB 6+ Gold) yesterday and in the process got them to send me a pelican case or so, this morning I just online ordered a 6+ 64GB Silver and picked it up in my local store.

It is not gold which is what I want, but silver is fine for me. See you guys in about 1.25 years when I upgrade again using my wife's upgrade credit.

Unacceptable? That's my situation. Receiving a completely trashed package, told in the store to just keep it and accept the fact that I paid $300+ for said trashed device (it really just appeared that the box was damaged), then finding out it truly was damaged (dent on back that I missed when I took it out of plastic wrap and put right in case) and having to go through the return process which doesn't put me at the front of the line, but at the back. I am looking at getting my phone on 11/26 now after having it in my hand (albeit destroyed) on 9/19.

Oh and on top of it, my old device got traded in so I have no backup! Luckily I got them to ship the new one while I keep this one. We shall see if they screw that up too!

I have pictures up thread but I just don't feel like digging them up. I am so furious with AT&T. They really need to come up with a better procedure to take care of customers who have been screwed over by poor delivery methods. At the very least they should require a damn signature!!!

I'll take a "dent" on the back of my phone that's covered with a case and the the intent to replace any day over being kept in the dark for over a month. I've pre-ordered the 3G, 4, and 5 and always had it on launch day. This must be a move to shift sales into the holiday quarter since sales are recognized upon shipment. There's no way Apple's supply chain forecast missed the mark this badly otherwise...the phone isn't even that big of an improvement over its predecessor.

I don't know. How are you being kept in the dark? The estimated ship date is right there on the order for you to look at.

Firm believer in the theory that "pre-orders" should be capped at the quantity available for launch date. When I ordered it should have stated that "pre-orders" were filled and that I was ordering something that was on backorder. Further, many people in the October delivery time frame have seen their windows come and go with no activity. That doesn't leave much hope for anyone with the vague window of 3 weeks in November.

Lastly, Apple is selling a product through a variety of channels, all of which end up in the hands of the end user. Assuming carriers did not place their own initial quantity order (assigned by apple), I would like to think that Apple Stores and Targets would not receive inventory until "pre-orders" are fulfilled.

I realize this is a naive point of view coming entirely from a consumer's perspective. But if you were on a wait list for a kidney and other people just went to kidneychecker.com and walked into a hospital with kidney inventory you'd be pretty pissed.

Thankfully ATT/Apple don't control donor lists - it's just a phone.

WTF? how in the hell did you find one in a store? Where was the store? I've been checking istocknow.com and idevicechecker.com and NOTHING, ANYWHERE!! That is the exact phone I ordered and you go into a store and pick one up? Man I would go play the lottery because you are the luckiest person around right now. Happy for you though.

I hear you. Only thing is, I think AT&T is just as much in the dark as you. I think Apple wants to take care of their customers first, carrier be damned.

One thing I have learned from my experience is to absolutely NEVER order the phone from AT&T.

I could have walked into the Apple store right down the road from my office for a full week after launch and grab the one I pre-ordered at 3 AM EDT on the 12th of September.

Really wished I would have done that.

Hi, I ordered a 6+ 128GB Gold on 9/12 @ 8am EST. My shipping estimate is 10/31-11/11. ATT put a hold on my account the next day, then it dropped off after 3 days. However, today $84 was taken from my account. Is this a good sign that my phone will be delivered soon? The order status page and the 866 number has not been updated.

As luck would have it, there is one available RIGHT NOW at he Mall of Georgia Apple store but I do not have time to get there and back before I have to go to work. And big surprise, AT&T can not secure that phone for me. Have to call back Thursday and see what they have. That phone won't make it until the close of business today. Might already be gone.

I live in NJ and quite a few stores here & in manhattan had this particular model in stock. In my store, it was showing available for a good 4-5 hours, so they must have had plenty of units.

It's kind of scary that all of a sudden the shipments appear to have stopped and no one in the 13-22 shipping window have any shipping notices yet

Oh well, there is always tomorrow, and one person had theirs shipped the day after the end of the shipping window.

I am to the point of just canceling it and forgetting the whole idea, as I mentioned before I have a 3 month old 5s unlocked and in immaculate condition. It's running better than ever on 8.1, so maybe I don't need the iphone 6 right now.

I did order myself an iPhone 6+ SG 16gb through my Companies premier website on 9/19 (I posted in the Premier thread). Estimated shipping dates were 11/9-11/27 and I received my phone yesterday (10/20)

Hang in there

They just moved my ship date out to 11/1-11/14, I am canceling my order.

(sigh) When I saw your post, I knew mine would be next... Sure enough, mine says 11/1 - 11/14 now, too. Idiots. None in stock close to me, though.

I'm a small business owner. I am often in rural places all over the country. I have been with AT&T since the Cingular days. They always had the better coverage. I have been checking coverage maps and see that Verizon is good also. The map for sprint looks good but don't trust that. T-mobile is a no go. Worst of the bunch. If my phone does not come in or before my window closes, I will move my service to another company. Period.

AT&T should be embarrassed by the the lack of customer communication.

It's still there...on the site anyway. If it's silver, though. That's the only thing stopping me.

check the Verizon thread. They're yelling over there also. It's not these carriers it's Apple not giving them the phones. Yell at Apple.

Preordered 9/12 1:30 pm w/ ship dates 11/9-11/27. It sucks that some who ordered in Oct. have already gotten either their phones or shipping notifications before me. Have been checking my order status everyday but no change, still "preorder processing" and no change in ship dates. But I am hopeful my phone will arrive soon as my card was finally charged today. No notification for shipment yet though. AT&T 128 gb 6+ gold
