AT&T Pre-order status

I ordered sep 12 6 am PST. Yesterday it was saying shipping est 9/23-10/01. If I go to order status of AT&T it says pending shipment but since I am registered to ups my choice i get updates everytime a tracking number is created with my name so i received an email confirmation from ups saying i will receive my phone 9/19. And got a tracking number which shows its shipping from AT&T. 
I'm sure most will get AT&T tracking numbers tomorrow once they update their order system with tracking numbers.

I think its funny people are worried about first day preorders shipping in november when apples own site has the 6+ att 64gb shipping in 3-4 weeks if you order now. Just more proof ATTs ship dates are all screwed up and no one should worry
Ordered on the day of, at 3:23am eastern time.... It says delivery on 10/13-10/22 .

Especially when we really don't know anything about how many of each type of phone any of the carriers/apple has.
My 6+ 64GB order just went from 10/03-10/13 expected to Back-ordered. Ridiculous. Especially since my credit card was fully charged that day. Got my order in before midnight PST.
We have no idea what that means. It could be a good thing. AT&T's system is so bizarre.

I have the exact same thing but nothing from ups my choice. Hoping that It will change to friday delivery!

I got the confirmation text message that it's been sent to the warehouse....I had a shipping date of 10/2-10/13 or whatever.... for the past few days it's been fine.
NOW I go check and my status says "Back-ordered" and it says my item is back ordered and there are no dates anymore!!!!
WTF ATT??! I ordered 10 minutes early at 2:50 am, paid my money, etc. They just completely removed my shipping date now and there is nothing there.

After 6-years Apple and AT&T still can't handle orders
After 6 years you would think Apple and AT&T would have their act together. But no, the Apple site was down for hours at launch and AT&T's wasn't much better. I was finally able to order my phone using the AT&T site on my iPad shortly after 1:30 am PST on Friday.
However, during check-out there was no option to select an different shipping address. And since our bill goes to our PO box I knew they couldn't ship it there. So yesterday I get the expected email that my order was on hold due to the shipping address. I called after getting the email and after a couple of minutes would hear the message that there was exceptionally high call volume and it hung up on me. A few hours later I called back and after a 30 minute wait got to talk to someone. I was told they cannot change an order, even the address after it was placed and that I would have to cancel and place a new order. I explained to the rep that it was THEIR system that wouldn't allow me to select a different shipping address and that it was THEIR responsibility to resolve the matter appropriately. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. After a short hold she came back on and said they just changed their system to allow them to change the shipping addresses. So all was fixed...right. Not with AT&T at the helm, I got another email this morning saying the same thing. After another 30 minute wait I got to speak to a representative who said it was updated in one system but not the other. Whatever that means, I could careless about their systems and whatnot. Anyway, he claims to have fixed it and all is set for a Friday delivery.
Considering Apple and AT&T are two of the largest technology and communication companies in the world I would think they would have better systems in place to handle the expected volume of sales. Apple is expecting to sell 80 million units of the iPhone 6 by the end of the year. How can they not anticipate the volume required to handle the number of sales. People are basically begging to give them money and they can't handle that. Fortunately, we don't have to go through this song and dance very often, but when we do it certainly causes me to loose faith in these two companies.

Dude exactly the same thing here. WTF ATT>?!? How can they send me a text saying confirmed, and an e-mail, and I have a ship date....now NOTHING.
Shipping Dates Pushed Up!
Prior to checking my order status this morning, the expected ship dates for my order of a silver iPhone 6+ 16gb was showing 10/31-11/11.
I woke up at 11:55pm PST 9/11, trying to log on to Apple.com and ATT.com simultaneously to preorder and ended up being able to finally place order at 12:45am PST 9/12 on ATT.com.
Checked my order status this morning, and expected ship dates have now been pushed up to 10/13-10/22. I've only gotten the initial email that my order was placed, but have not received any text messages. Either way, I'm okay with the date change thus far! Who knows, dates may continue to be pushed up within these next few days?

Just a bit of Intel concerning how ATT deals with first come first serve shipping. I called premier to check their automated service about my order status and got a message that there was trouble with my CC. I auto updated it and thought all was well. Called again today and found out....still trouble with the card. I connected with a real human at which point she ran the card and it worked fine. Obviously their system is jacked up. I asked her, since this was a new order number if that would bump me to the back of the line and she assured me that it wouldn't. When I placed the order initially at 3am 9/12 my phone was reserved despite the CC not having gone through. I figured she was just telling me what I wanted to hear but when I just checked my status sure enough my delivery is updated. It'll be here the 19th.

just saw this post and checked my order. same! I still have to wait til Sunday as I am gone for a business trip, but confident it will be ready when I hit Oktoberfest on Sunday!!!
Agreed. We have no idea what "Back-ordered" means relative to "Ships in October". It may be a much better situation.
Strange, I got the same date as well and its still saying Preparing for Shipment.
If i remember correctly, this backorder debacle also occurred for the 5s. Everybody (or mostly everybody) that had "backorder" for their 5s received it on launch day.
I guess the only thing to do is to wait and see.
