I think ATT and handled their systems wrong here, I understand why they would try it this way BUT its making customers freak out. The only time I will start to really worry is if I hear absolutely nothing by thursday night and I think everyone should have that mindset. Hah people care less about there own children's expected due date, priorities everyone
Does anyone here have a 6+ that has a confirmed ship date for the 19th? I feel like all the back orders and bad shipping dates are all for the 6+, whereas the people who ordered a 6 are all jumping to 9/19.
I knew Apple was having some supply trouble with the 6+ but it looks to be really bad...
And apparently huff, puff and stomp feet!!! Today its "I hate you ATT I'm switching, forget Apple, NEVER AGAIN!!!" Friday its "I knew it would be here!! I love Apple and ATT, never doubted them!!"

What pisses me off the most is I HAD a ship date, status said sent to warehouse, now thats all gone and it just says "Back-ordered"
That's why I'm flipping out. How do you go from having the phone and congratulating me on it, to preparing for shipments, to now back-ordered. You either have the phones or not ATT. My order was placed early too.

I called the order line on Friday to verify something, and they told be I was backordered. Now I have a ship date. Don't worry quite yet.
So... An update for people.
This is for a space grey iphone 6 plus in 128 gig
Preordered at 3:40 EST. Initially got an email saying 21-28 days.
Was charged on my credit card
Then received the status update saying November 11/9-11/27... Was annoyed
Just got updated this morning now it says 10/2-10-13
Not too bad.. I was hoping for launch but two weeks later isn't too bad

My iPhone shows "Processing" with no dates now. I have 2 emails saying delivery on the 19th and the order status page said shipping on 17-18... GRRR

Yea get Annoyed and threaten to punch them in the face seemed to be the route that worked for me. I have lived here for 10 years. This is the address on my att pre order, the address on my license, the address I just used to sign up for my choice.. Answered all the quiz questions right - twice ( because they wouldn't send the number to my phone ) so in the end they have to mail the code (to the address they just continued to tell me didn't match..... Unfriggingreal)
Likely by the time the code arrives I'll have the phone in hand. It will have came or I will have gotten one locally and swore off att period. Ugh

AT&T flat out lied to me. Ordered a regular iPhone 6 at 12:46am PT 9/12. Received in the confirmation email:
Today it says on the site I ordered on 9/13 and they expected ship date is 10/13-10/31. I want to vomit.
Conspiracy obviously. They were like, oh noes it's that silianrail guy!! I know, let's give him a fake shipping date!
I agree. I mean I do see both sides. ATT is pretty bad in keeping customers in the loop. Its unfortunate for those premier customers that are forced to order only through ATT.
As cruddy as ATT is, they came through the past couple years so cross my fingers the trend continues.
I can't lie, I absolutely hate preorder night. Has me all tense and nervous. I was lucky this year to get in before it hit three. Im already getting tensed up for how bad next year will be.
I chatted with an ATT rep. Got a standard useless response:
Maria: I do understand the confusion with the shipping. Hopefully, I can clarify some details for you. I do see that we have your order and is currently being processed successfully.
Maria: All I Phones orders that are successfully processed will be shipped on September 19, 2014; in the order that pre-orders were received.
Maria: Please expect a possible delay as this product is in high demand. Once shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking and carrier information.
Maria: The estimated shipping that you received is an automated response. For example, shipping can be delayed if there is an issue with processing the order.
When I asked why my order status changed she said:
Maria: I am not sure where the order is currently. Apple will supply the devices to our warehouse by September 19, 2014. On this date the orders will be shipped in the order the order was received.

That's just it man, I got my order in at 2:50am. Everything was smooth and fine, I had a confirmation and all, now they just wiped my order and it says "back ordered" ugghh WTF

I had the same exact problem. Stayed up until 3am est. 2 of my phones went through no problem. the other 2 both needed more information. I tried calling up att on the hotline and they said that they are having technical difficulties and hung up. Took an entire day and ended up losing my spot for a 128gb iphone 6+.(went from 1-2weeks after release date to nov 11 to nov 27th). Ended up canceling my order and had to wake up early to go to radio shack to pre-order.
From what I have read ATT never screwed up, in the end everyone has gotten there phone on time if they preordered on preorder night. I have no reason to think they won't pull threw this time. Do there systems suck? Yes! Am I worried? Not at all!

Im not freaking out right now im sure things will settle down in the next few days. BUT i will RAGEEEE if I find anyone who ordered the same iphone at a much later time than i did, and get theirs before me.

I still think being "backordered" could be a positive. My 5s was backordered yesterday and i got it on launch day with everyone else. My advice is to stop stressing and to just see what happens as the week progresses. In the off chance you don't get it on the 19th, there isn't anything you could really do. Yeah I guess you can cancel your preorder but at that point ordering it from apple would be just as worse. Best course of action is to be patient
Get ready to rage, AT&T has a long history of doing what's convenient for them instead of trying to follow who ordered first. I REALLY didn't want to order with AT&T but at 11:45 I got in. Even while I was ordering I kept checking Apple in hopes they'd come online so I could abort and go with them. Even after I completed the order I checked with Apple till 30 minutes after midnight thinking that'd still be the better option, but I had to go back to sleep.
I HATE ordering with AT&T. Not only do they get much less supply, they seem to have no idea how to organize a phone launch, even after years of practice.

i just got a update for my estimated delivery its the same as everyone else who preorder the 6 Plus, 10/2-10/13. I Already have a feeling it might go on "back Order" all because apple May have a limit on the 6 Plus, because people are loving the new features that the iPhone 6 doesn't have. so really i can wait, but we'll see what happens Monday-wedesnday
