AT&T Pre-order status

I've always enjoyed staying up on pre-order night, having a few fingers of scotch, watching the hype, etc. . . I've always received my devices on launch day.

This year, there were obviously issues with apple and AT&T. I didn't get my order in until almost 1:30 PDT. My initial ship date was 10/31-11/11. This morning it was moved up like so many others have posted.

I doubt I will get this phone on the 19th, but I'm okay with that. Believe me, I am just as nuts as the rest of you on this thread. I've been known to intercept the delivery driver when he starts his route.

But changes have happened in my life this year and I realize it is just a phone and I will get it when I get it. Moreover, everyone is losing their mind because they aren't getting a phone a week after the keynote. Let us not forget it was not too long ago when there was a keynote and then there was a 3-4 week period before one could even pre-order.

Great post. I'm a tech freak too but I can wait. Funny how growing up ( by age or by life's winding road) can change things. :)

By the way my end of October del dates have moved up to start of the month. My wife's phone ordered about 15 min after my phone will be here with the smell of turkey in the air...so far. :)

Same 16gb Plus, except I had those shipping dates and got bumped up to 10/2-13, Still preparing to ship.

I would be FINE to sit back and relax and wait like the rest of you that seem so cheerful.

However...why did I have a ship date and confirmation and now suddenly I have NO ship date and "back ordered" status....THATS why I'm pissed.


I am not canceling my order, just wondering why other iPhone 6+ orders got bumped up and mine got indefinitely back ordered?

I got my order in 10 minutes early too!!! WTF!!??
 
Ah damn I hope this is a good thing. Order status changed, no date now. Was 9/17 - 9/18. Now shows this:

Apple iPhone 6 - 64GB Processing Our fulfillment center is processing your order for this item. Pending Shipment 1

I guess it is a good thing. Just check UPS My Choice and:

I hopped over to att.com and the preorder button was there on the front page - no countdown timer, just the same page as the hour before but the preorder button was live. Completed my DHs order, then went back and did mine. No sneaking required! Oddly, I went back to att.com about an hour later and got the "it's coming" page that automatically refreshed once it was your "turn".

It's the earliest orders that got moved to "backordered". According to multiple posters here, orders labeled as "backordered" on the iPhone 4 and 5 launches ended up getting theirs on launch day. It probably just means we were moved into the queue to be assigned serial numbers as soon as AT&T gets them from Apple.
 
Mine also bumped up to 10/2-10/13. 6+ SG 128gb. Ordered @ 3AM CST after I got tired of getting nowhere with Apple's site and app. At that point I needed sleep more than the phone :)

People start getting the dates pushed up since this morning, keep checking the order status and tomorrow should be a good day to see the status change.
 
I had originally pre-ordered an iPhone through ATT website at 3am and received an email saying the order processed. At about 4pm I received another email that said the order had been cancelled with no explanation. I called ATT and the rep I spoke to confirmed the order had been cancelled but could not provide an explanation why. My bank did not deny the charge and there were no issues with confirming the address. Lucky for me even at 5pm I was able to preorder with a 9/19 delivery date from Apple's website.

Not sure if thats the truth. Not my fault att let me in early cant call me a cheater. Mine got changed from 10/2 - 10/13 to 10/13 - 10/22 but i got my congrats text yesterday morning. Everybodies status and dates are randomnly changing so who knows. We will see but att has always come through all the time for me so im not worried.

Not Quite. I Was in the 10/13-22 window and got bumped up to 10/03-14 window.

If you read back a few pages, there is a link to the explanation of BACKORDERED. What it means (according to the linked post, and I have no reason to disbelieve it) is AT&T is not in physical possession of a phone to assign to you yet, but you are next in line to receive one and they anticipate you will get one. Essentially it means you, I, we are ahead of everyone that has a shipping date other than 9/18, and may very likely get our phones on 9/18.

Congrats! Nothing here for me yet. My last iPhone (5) was delivered by Fedex, so I'm not sure if it will be sent through UPS or Fedex. UPS doesn't show anything yet.
 
iPhone 6 64 GB in Space Gray... Ordered at about 11:55PM PST on Thursday night.

Order status page said shipping on 9/17-9/18... Today, that date has been removed and there is no date now.

Item status is "processing" tracking number is "Pending Shipment"

Hoping to get it Friday, and considering I was really early to pre-order, I should be getting it Friday. If not, I'll wait. Wont be the end of the world. My 5s is still plenty sufficient.

Now, going from my 4 to my 5s, I was not as patient because the 4 was absolutely on it's last legs and slower than slow! Thankful that Best Buy messed up and allowed me to pre order it and pick it up on launch day :)
