Obviously, due to the large size, a longer time to prepare is needed.:D

I ordered a 6 Plus; ever since I got my confirmation texts Friday evening I've been in a state if "preparing to ship," even though the estimated ship dates were 10/31-11/11 yesterday and revised to 10/13-10/21 today.

Also by your phone number @ UPS My Choice.

When you sign up it asks you to input your home address (this is assuming that's the same address your phone is being shipped to) once you complete the verification process, ups automatically detects any shipping label created to your home address. I signed up and ups choice sent me a notice maybe 1 hour later displaying the same thing. 9/19 delivery.
This is for iPhone 6 - 64gb Gold

So u mean to tell me.. That a lady burning herself on a drink that has been made and served hot since the beginning of time, has merit? Or was it the first time she's had coffee?

They were serving coffee at 190 degrees.

A "piping hot" drink is usually palatable starting around 140F, and most people still consider it hot down to about 110F.

They were serving it easily 50 degrees hotter than anyone could humanly tolerate.

That's why they lost the case.

She had 3rd degree burns down her legs. It literally melted her skin off in about 7 seconds.

OK now we can bring it back on topic.

The date on my 16GB Space Gray 6 just reset from 9/23-10/2 to being delivered on 9/19 with my 64GB Silver 6. Woo hoo!!!

I'm a 128GB 6 Plus preorder who ordered as soon as AT&T went live whose original estimate was 10/2-10/13 & who today went to 10/13-10/22 :-(

To keep it short:

Mickey D's kept their coffee at a much higher temperature than standard industry practice. Why? So that by the time you got to your office/home/destination, the coffee would have still been hot.

Mickey D was warned, multiple times, that their coffee temperature was extremely high, and could result in 2nd and 3rd degree burns. They failed to listen and lower the temperature.

If the coffee had been served the customer at the temperature that was used in the industry, her injuries would have been significantly less.

Which is why they loss, they were found to be negligent, absent of the fact that the plaintiff placed the coffee between her legs.

Speaking of Fedex.. they also have the Fedex Delivery Manager that lets you set certain notifications (see attachment).

It should work similar to UPS My Choice.

Now we just need one person to post that they're actually getting one via fed ex and half the web will head to sign up for that too! Lol

Totally agree that the Apple Store POS has proven more reliable in past iPhone purchases (esp. at initial launch). I wasn't able to order my (2 x 6 Plus, 128GB, Gold phones) until after 9am EST on 9/12, and initially the ship date was between 11/3-11/27 in a "Preparing to ship" status.

As of this afternoon (9/14, 3pm EST), the ship date changed to 10/31-11/11. I expected this to occur since many "cats" cancelled their AT&T orders and as the system updates, the dates become more solidified. What's interesting to me though is that the very first post to this thread, the user said he purchased within the first 27 mins, and he has the same ship date (10/31-11/11). Again, just interesting. I'm optimistic that the phones will ship by this date or perhaps earlier. I've played this game many times before and even though the dates change or the status says "backordered", all of a sudden on the day prior the phones are available at the store, the status pops and the tracking number is available.

The whole thing is maddening. I may just go completely offline until the Plus arrives. Reading all these posts is driving me nuts.

My phone (64GB silver 6) just went from in process, waiting for shipment to "Preparing to ship" again, which is where it was early this morning. Date of 9/17-18 is the same

My 64GB Silver 6+ is also "Preparing to Ship" with the october 2 date.

She also originally only tried to get the cost of her medical bills (she was in the hospital 8 days and required significant skin grafts), and McDonalds refused and offered $800. It wasn't until much later that a jury awarded her the millions. They used something like "2 days of coffee profits" as the number. She didn't ask for it.

I found my tracking number through UPS My Choice! Woo. I ordered a 6/128/SG @ 2:45 AM CDT, and the AT&T status page says it'll ship 9/17 or 9/18 (those dates were there earlier today, disappeared, and now they're back).

You're not the first person that I have noticed ask this question.

Pre-ordering opened up at the same time for everyone, which was 12:01 AM Pacific Time, or 3:01 AM Eastern Time, or 2:01 AM Central Time, or 1:01 AM Mountain Time.

They did NOT have a 3 hour lead time.

Lol you know what... Your totally right. Relative to start time anyhow.

Wow I can't even believe I asked that. I feel ashamed of myself. /blush

I ordered by 2:18 CST 18 minutes after the door opened. My email said 14-21 days, and my shipping estimate was Nov9-Nov 22 it moved up this morning to Oct2-Oct13....Heres to hoping they move it up one more to to launch day. I ordered a 128GB SG 6PLUS

Then there may still be hope for me yet... I ordered the same shortly after you and was given the same initial shipping estimate. My last update, as of today, has me in a Nov 9 - 27 shipping time frame.

How does a trade in work when u ordered online? Are u forced to pick it up at the store and bring your old phone or something?

They send you a return shipping label to return the old phone back to them in the same box the new phone comes in. You have 30 days after receiving the new phone to turn the old one back in.

There is one small but in our case possibly a big difference between UPS and FedEx notifications.

UPS will notify you when a label has been generated producing the tracking number.

FedEx waits until the package us in their possession. I believe that is why I haven't seen anyone post that they gave been notified by FedEx.

My last two phones I have received from AT&T have been delivered by FedEx.

They weren't able to order before, it was 12PST vs 3EST, same time, different zones.

Yea...that was one of those.. How do you say..... Brain fart moments :p

Coming from the guy who had just cited the bell curve my tail is officially between my legs.

So this is weird.

So far...

~2 E-Mails from AT&T saying my iPhone 6 16GB Silver will arrive on 9/19.

~Order status page said shipping 9-17/9-18

Today

~ Shipping date disappeared and said "processing".
~ 30 mins ago, went back to "preparing for shipping" and 9-17/9-18.

Still nothing emailed to me from MyChoice haha. This is so weird.

We'll all my 4 phones were sent to back order from 10-13/10-22 and after call with support it went back to prep shipping 10-13/10-22.
