Ordered one 64GB space grey iPhone 6 when the AT&T site opened (started @2:58 AM), initial estimate was delivery on the 9/19 release date.

Ordered a second of the same 8-10 mins. later (~3:15), initial estimate was delivery a week later (9/23-9/29, IIRC).

Checked status this morning and both are scheduled to ship 9/17-9/18. It appears AT&T's system is programmed to give initial delivery dates that are a bit conservative, i.e., under-promise and over-deliver. Hope that's the case with everyone!

Premier Users help!

I forgot to change my AT&T Premier to my new employer 2 years ago (new employer also has Premier) and can't see the additional order detail as it asks me to logon to my Premier account, but I forgot the password. The "forgot password" link sends it to my no-longer-in-possession-email-account -with-former-employer-that-is-deleted. Anyone with Premier can tell me what additional order details are shown on the Premier page? I just have a range on the initial order update page showing 10/13/2014 To 10/22/2014 estimated ship on my gray 64 Plus ordered at 3:21am EST. I also ordered the 64 gold PLus for my wife at 3:10am with the same shipping ETA.

I'm kicking myself over this Premier stuff as my new employer also has Premier and I just found a company newsletter in my email that shows waived upgrade fees. I could have saved $79.98 on my two orders. I'm guessing my former employer doesn't have waived upgrade fees as AT&T is charging the $39.99 on each phone to the next bill. I'm afraid to call AT&T as if they change to the correct employer's Premier it may screw with our ship dates and they are bad enough as it is! Is my best move to leave it alone and deal with Premier after we have our new phones?

I am a UPS mychoice customer and haven't seen anything roll thru my account yet. My order just bumped to 9/17-9/18 shipment yesterday. Hoping to see some movement on my UPS account soon. I have the same thing set up on my FedEx account also. I know us Dallas folks typically get our ATT premier orders shipped from Fort Worth, wonder where this one will ship from.

Anybody else have more than one $1 charge on their credit card?
I've got one for $60+ and then three more for $1 each, all on 9/12.
Only one phone ordered.

FYI since 2005 when I joined Cingular (now AT&T) I've never paid an upgrade fee. Just call in and they'll waive it.

I got 8 of them, $1 preauthorizations, and then two legitimate preauths for the two phones I ordered.

So, despite my commitment to myself to just wait it out... I chatted with AT&T this morning. Long story short, we have two orders of identical phones (Space Grey 6 64GB) both placed within the first hour of preorders (one at 0304 and the other at 0355, both EDT). The first one, 1912* has always showed 09/19 delivery (my wife's phone... of course). My phone, 1626*, initially showed 09/19, but on Saturday the order date changed to 09/13, and it started showing 10/13/14-10/31/14. Today's chat with the AT&T rep (very helpful by the way) yielded that, in their internal system, both phones show 09/19 delivery (unless he was lying... totally could have been the case). Here is the relevant chat blob:

So MAYBE those dates don't mean as much as we think they mean?

Have you ever participated in a launch before? Last year, the gold version of the phone wasn't even at the Apple Store for launch. 100s of people lining up, and my store only got 3 silver iphone 5s. There was 1 64GB gold phone, but that was it. AT&T stores only got space gray models.

They absolutely take preorders without the phone being available at launch.

They also take preorders sight unseen. You cannot even go to an apple store now to check out the phones prior to buying.

Can we stop with the anecdotal misinformation? The AT&T store by Grand Central in NY had gold iPhone 5Ss, as did several other stores like Radio Shack.

One store having the gold phone is more anecdotal than most if not all ATT stores across the nation not having them.

But whatever. The point is, there can ABSOLUTELY be shortages, whether or not there are pre-orders. The post I responded to was completely baseless. There are absolutely times that you can pre-order something and still not get it right at launch, which was my point.

I ordered my iphone 6 (AT&T, 64GB, white) at 3:35 am on pre-order launch day.

7:30 am - received email confirmation with expected deliver "on or around" 9/19/14

9:10 am - received text message confirmation without any deliver date

As of last Saturday, the order status on AT&T website said expected delivery was between sep 26 and oct 3.

NOW - my status says the expected ship dat is either 9/17 or 9/18.

They're definitely working through the order backlog, and I bet a lot if the preorders will get delivered on time, or at least earlier than currently listed. That's what happened with my iphone 5.

sad

Does it make anyone else upset that Verizon and the other carriers have sent tracking numbers to customers (for the Plus mind you) while us ATT customers sit here in turmoil wondering if we are getting our phones?

Can someone tell me why some peoples orders are changing dates? Or is it people are playing games with people's minds? My is still in processing.... and I ordered Sep 12th 2:14 am through apple store app on my iphone. I got shipping 7-10 days ... delivery on Oct 1-7th.

This thread is for people that ordered from AT&T, not Apple.

nope unless this is your first preorder for an iphone that's what ALWAYS happens....ATT will get everything sorted out in the next couple of days and we will be receiving tracking numbers soon enough.....if you're at work posting this than take your mind off of how pissed you are about Verizon and do something productive

My shipping status shows ready to ship. I called and the automated machine says that it's in back order. My delivery date is 11/09 - 11/22. This is truly a nightmare.

ReallY?!? Not receiving what is essentially a new toy RIGHT AWAY is your idea of a nightmare?!

Some of you people sound like children.

Mine is the exact same but ETA of 9/23-10/2....Wonder if it will be different tomorrow?

I got charged for mine and then two days later the money was back so AT&T was checking to make sure the funds were available as I ordered at 2:41 CST and my date shows 10/2 for shipping and I'm sorry but pre order means just that you should get yours before people standing in line and now the people who go to the store on launch day will get one and I have to wait almost two weeks to get mine and AT&T doesn't care it's their glitch and they say I DIDN'T ORDER IN TIME and when I explain the issue THEY DON'T CARE!! I will NEVER NEVER EVER order form AT&T when there is a new phone out as they cannot handle EVER the load capacity as they KNEW that this would be a big launch and they were NOT prepared as even Apple is sending people vouchers so they will get their phone on the 19th!!

Hi. I see that you're upset. Obviously you don't understand how this whole process works.

Just because you pre-order has never in the history of pre-ordering meant that you will get your phone before EVERYONE who buys their phone from the store. If someone is willing to stand in line at an Apple, ATT, Verizon, or other retailer store on launch day, they do have a chance to get their new phone before you.

Pre-ordering on a website is a huge convenience. Just because you set your alarm to wake up at 12 am PST on pre-ordering day doesn't make you some sort of entitled blessed one who should be considered above all. This is honestly a very easy thing to do as THOUSANDS, maybe MILLIONS of people happily did it. It is honestly much more of a hassle to go to a retailer and stand in the huge line that is sure to await you on launch day.

In summary, relax, breathe, and realize that you are no more entitled to your shiny new toy than anyone else is.

Impatiently Waiting

Ordered mine 9/12 around 11:30 CST. It's currently showing a shipping date of 9/23 - 10/2. Let's see if that date stands.

I ordered around 11:54PM PST on September 11, although that is an estimate, I don't see a time stamp anywhere. I am a Premier customer, I don't know if that makes any difference, but about 2-3 minutes after completing my order I got an email that a 64GB iPhone 6 had been reserved for me.

My credit card has been charged for the full amount, plus a one dollar charge... weird. My order status page says preparing to ship, but it says it is expected to ship 9/17 or 9/18. I never received any texts.

It might be here 9/19, and then again it might not. Either way, it is out of my hands.

The $1.00 charge is basically a test to make sure that the card is actually real and will go away in a few days.
