Carrier AT&T Store iPhone 7 launch info

Just called my store, Said 6 people were lined up last year, then i assume they will only get like 1 or 2 of each color.....dam it i need black 7 plus 128

well apple will have the most stock of anybody....Can you go to any neighboring small cities, better luck there

Same here. Especially if you want a Plus model.

i did exactly that 4 years ago, did the cancellation once i knew i was getting a phone at the AT&T store, took about 15 minutes

You should cancel your order now because it's gonna take 24hrs to restart your eligibility.

I just canceled mine cuz it doesn't matter if I pre order it later

same date will be given to me.

Nope. Incorrect. You go to the back of the line on online ordering if you cancel your pre-order. Which is mid-November now for pretty much all black phones. Not sure where you got your information but it's completely wrong.

No - ATT Matte Black 7 Plus is 2-3 weeks just checked a few minutes ago.

I just talk to apple and a at&t person. They said i need to cancel my preorder if I get in line and but some iphone because the eligibility will reset 24hrs.

But still the end of the line. You won't get your original place in line back for Matte Black either. Not the way it works. Whoever you talked to is wrong. No surprise there. Att reps on the phone are notoriously wrong about this stuff.

People - do not cancel your preorders to jump in line hoping you can just preorder again and get same place in line. Not gonna happen! Heard of people trying last year - did NOT work.

We had a misunderstanding there. Hmmm what I meant was about the eligilibity. Of course I won't the place when I pre-order again.

The sales rep was talking about the eligibility.
 
Have you guys seen the article from macrumors from a few hours ago. Supposedly Apple told a bunch of news outlets that all colors of 7 Plus are sold out for launch day stock and 7 JB is also sold out. So basically only iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold and black will be available for walk in stock tomorrow. They mentioned going to 3rd party retailers for 7 Plus models

So honestly your best bet is going to AT&T or bestbuy. We should all call our local AT&T store this evening and ask if they received any 7 Plus models. That way we're not wasting our time waiting in line for something they don't have.

Old news. All ATT and BestBuy retailers have reported in yesterday that they're receiving ZERO Plus phone in Matte or Jet Black.

I haven't seen this yet - do you have the source please? Also, retailer would generally refer to a 3rd party store for a carrier. Is that what you are referring to, or are you referring to corporate carrier locations?
 
There is a 1 device per person in line limit. So if she doesn't come and wait for you you'll only get 1

Corporate stores are where the announcement came from.. Any simple Google search will get you the articles. I read it here on MR in the ATT and Best Buy threads.

I haven't seen anything in an ATT-related thread on MR and a google search for any official word from corporate ATT yields nothing... there hasn't even been an update from the source in this thread regarding the iPhone 7 Plus stock deliveries that should be happening today...
