Why Stream Saver for videos when everyone else is giving unlimited with HD video?
What $50 extra fees?Plus 50 extra fess, and you'll end up paying over $220.00
Read the fine print, something doesn't smell as good as it seems.
"Pretty bad deal compared to Verizon" in what way? This is a pretty bad deal compared to Verizon & T-Mobile. Will be switching our family plan to a different carrier.
I think they are effectively just removing the direct tv requiement (though I haven't read the fine print). It was kind of a BS requirement anyway, if you ask me. Perhaps they will give a discount to those with direct tv moving forward?I'm confused... isn't this the same exact deal as if you have directv??? i have directv and 8 lines with ATT..
Best deal on ATT is 15GB Family plan with FAN discount ($100+15+15+15+15) we never use all 15GB and usually have about 19GB with rollover. 18% off with FAN. this of course is it when you BYOD to avoid that stupid $40 charge per line. Works with NEXT too.
About $140 /4 = $35.20 per line teathering/hotspot and ATT wifi hotspots included.
$220 is crazy expensive, especially if it does not have tethering as well.
Any word on how good they actually are? We get four lines for $120 (135-ish after fees) with TMO (happy with their service) but I am all about saving another $30 a month. We are just about to enter escrow and every penny counts lol.Sprint just changed their offering for 4 lines for $90 through March 31, 2018.
And it is still technically unlimited 4G, it just reduces speeds for users that used more than 22gb in very congested areas. It is unlimited data. Not unlimited 4g. Same as everyone else.

doesnt seem worthwhile to stay then. especially with the lack of tethering.I think they are effectively just removing the direct tv requiement (though I haven't read the fine print). If it doesn't include hotspot it's DOA for me. Now if only DirecTV would support AirPlay already.
You may be right. I would wait for official information. I am just speculating at this point. Tethering isn't really a bonus for us, but the idea that you have it when you need it would certainly sit in the back of my mind.doesnt seem worthwhile to stay then. especially with the lack of tethering.
Right. We have unlimited and have for a while since we have DirecTV. I leave it on for my kids phones and off for the rest. No reason really other than just because they don't notice. I wanted to see if they said anything and so far nothing. Either its not something you really see or they are resilient enough to just keep moving on.My guess is they hope people who don't notice/don't care will never disable the feature, resulting in less network congestion, while still allowing the people who do care to disable the feature

Tethering is a bonus for me since I use a WiFi only iPad on the go. I bought a while back the ZTE Mobley they sell for the connected car plans. It can be added as device on the unlimited plan. Granted you pay for the device like all others but it gives me access to data on my other devices. You may be right. I would wait for official information. I am just speculating at this point. It is for sure.is that for sure?
Wonder if this is a good for us grandfathered unlimited account.
Any word on tethering?
Logistically, the 25 GB plan is a better deal. You end up paying $160 for 4 lines, get 25GB to share before getting slowed down by stream saver, or you could disable stream saver and continue on with overage at your discretion. Plus, rollover data, so I would imagine most months would be > 25GB.
