Did anyone else notice the 5th picture on the Razor Edge site is of an Atomic Hybrid?

Wonder if they are somehow associated or if they just borrowed the pic.

Either way my patience is wearing thin with Atomic, I love the looks of the case but they seriously need to reevaluate their customer service, or lack thereof.

I think they are knock-off/copies, and are just "borrowing" other manufacturers pictures. Look at their "Vapor" line and take a look at the pictures...do they look familiar? :D

I think that they actually plan to sell the Element Vapor cases. If you notice they are all out of stock, and in their description of the case they even mention Element Cases.

Also, their Razor case is not the exact same design as the Atomic Hybrid.

Looks pretty legit if anyone out there wants to try it out. :D

But several weeks ago, they had every "Vapor" case in stock. This site has been advertising "Element Vapors" for a while now. And if you look at some of the Vapor knock-offs on eBay, many of those sellers use Element's own pictures and descriptions.

For instance...these (these aren't on eBay, but it's indicative of what you may see on eBay)...look at the logo on the case and the stolen Element pics in the center of the page:

No, I see what you are talking about here and I am not saying that there are not fakes out there. I know there are. I am just saying that this company here looks like they are actually trying to sell legitimate Element cases. Their pics even show the Element cases packaging. They may just be a reseller for them. That is all I am saying. I don't really know. Nor do I really care.

Unni is a guy. From what I was told by the owner of the company in a phone call, "Unni" is actually a family nickname that can refer to both him or his brother.
 
WOW! I emailed Unni and got a response in like 20 minutes saying he'll check tomorrow. Finally a response! Maybe its not a fraud.........
 
No, they're not a fraud. I got my case yesterday. I like the case but my earphones won't fit through the case. I have a 90 degree type plug. So I had to buy an adapter.

I wouldn't worry about "fraud.". For all my issues with them fraud isn't one of them, they have a product if you paid you will receive it, just might take awhile.

Buyer beware, even though the description claims it's a hybrid I emailed to confirm and this
was the responses I got.

"It's Aluminum / Zinc. *The aluminum / delrin is essentially plastic. *It looks and feels cheap. *Ours is a mix of aluminum, zinc and is anodized. *All this gives it that solid metal feel without the major problems that the Aluminum only bumpers had. *If you are not satisfied, you can return it for your money bac. *Just make sure to keep the box and alle pieces it comes with such as the button and extra screws."

I spoke to William 2 weeks ago. He stated that his cases are "made in china exactly where elementcase gets their cases from, and he has VERSION 3, hybrid plastic cushion inserts inside the frame" (hence their hybrid composite) He goes on to say "you can select with or without the VAPOR logo which is a trademark of the chinese company"

I think the only thing that was true is the made in china part.
 
I bought an Aluminum and Zinc knock off of the Vapor on eBay a month ago, it was straight up Garbage! I don't recommend it to anyone! Instead of being anodized it was painted and didn't fit the phone very well. Has anyone used the Case-Mate Jett yet? I wish I would have seen the Case-Mate before I ordered the Atomic a month ago, which I still don't have.

I have to assume its fraud for the fact that I purchased 2 of them a month ago and they refuse to answer any of my emails!

Just got mine today and realized it doesnt fit with my new cars ipod adaptor.

If anyone wants to buy it i'll sell it to you for $80 shipped FIRM. Saves you the hassles of waiting a month for it and you save 10 bucks.

Anyone receive their case in the past couple of days?

Haven't heard from Atomic since a day or two before Christmas.

EDIT:
After sending another email today they sent a very cryptic message with just the tracking number. Looks to be arriving tomorrow hopefully.

The Hybrid Atomic cases are nice and there is no significant signal loss. Just takes a while to get them. I have the Element case also and can't decide which I like better.

Who did you email? I emailed unni yesterday and still haven't gotten a response. Well I ordered the Case-Mate Jett yesterday and it will be delivered tomorrow according to USPS. So screw Atomic..........

I always email the escalations email address. Never tried the Unni because I figured he'd be getting pounded by emails. I am hoping more than one person is in charge of the escalation responses. :)

Well shortly after I posted I got my package, honestly with all the hype I'm not to impressed. They are pretty nice though. I guess i'll see tomorrow if I like the case-mate better......

Unni emailed me after I received the tracking number email double-checking I'd received it. Nice guy. Get my case tomorrow, I'll post up my impressions on it.

Yeah, anything Apple-related gets hyped up a lot but in the end this is still just a nice (hopefully) case for a nice phone. :D

I received my case the other day, it looks pretty good. :) Unfortunately, they forgot to include the extra cap I paid for and they have yet to respond to my email about it.

The quality of the case is pretty nice, but as a perfectionist with my electronics, I will admit I don't like how the Delrin side bows out a tiny bit due to not being as rigid. I attempted to remedy it by re-tightening the screws multiple times to no avail. In the end I just cut a small strip of double sided tape and put it there, problem solved.

I think I would like to have seen this case have the sim card slot accessible without removing the case, as my phone is unlocked on T-Mo and every now and then my cut sim card gives me issues where I have to remove it and reinstall it.

All in all, it is my favorite case so far for my phone, and it has gotten some compliments in the couple days I've had it.

Sorry for the inferior quality pics, my digital camera decided it didn't want to participate in a photo shoot.
