i have that too. ATT tends to move upgrades for iPhone customers when a new iPhone is coming out.

Mine still says the same as yesterday :( :
ATT said:
A full discount on a standard device or iPhone upgrade is not available at this time but you may qualify on 12/21/2011. We can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade at 2-yr commitment pricing + $250 along with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee.

ok thanks for the reply. I know they did it last year but correct me if i'm wrong, i thought they did it after the new iphone was announced.

I renewed it the day the iphone 4 came out...

Will I be eligible in a month then since I waited a month to get the iPhone 4 when it first launched?

Mine hasn't moved. Still 11/18. Bought a new iPhone 4 on release day. Unlimited data, unlimited text, unlimited calling and I've got a post-paid iPad 3g data plan as well. About $130 a month phone bill. I hope they bump me up. I've gotten used to getting a new phone on launch day.

Thanks. I got...

"As a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."

I bought the iPhone 4 the day it came out... so that's pretty good.

Mine seems to have moved backwards... I purchased my iPhone 4 at the end of June last year, just a couple days after it came out, and my upgrade isn't until 02/26/2012. So unless I took someone elses upgrade on accident, and then they took mine a few months later something is very sad about this situation :p The only reason I think maybe I was given someone elses' upgrade is because another phone on my family plan is due in November, right about 18 months after I purchased my iPhone 4...

Mine went from a November 2011 upgrade to the new message that I qualify for a new upgrade with a 2 year contract and $18 fee

I got the exact same message like yours. I bought the iphone 4 the day it came out as well... Maybe i am paying about $120 a month phone bill :D

I've been an ATT iPhone 4 customer since 7/22/2010 so theoretically I will be moved up in 29 days like you guys since the iPhone 4 came out 6/24/2010?

EDIT: Why does it say this on my online ATT account, but the *639# text is completely different:

It appears I am eligible? Can someone explain.

I checked mine a month or so ago, and it told me I was eligible now. It still says that. I bought my iPhone 4 on the first day too.

Historically, I've always been eligible for upgrade about a year after my last upgrade.

You're eligible, because i went to my online ATT account and it shows the exact same message like yours. :D

Then how come the *639# method seems like it's giving me the wrong info? Either *639# is wrong or the website. (Hoping it's not the website :D)

That's exactly my same situation. iPhone 4 on launch day delivered to my door. A month ago I wasn't eligible for anything, now I am fully eligible for full discount.

I upgraded my phone to the iPhone 4 on launch day 6/24/2010. Here is the message I receive from AT&T's website. *639# never sends me a text however.

Unlike many of you, AT&T isn't giving me the option for upgrade this year. I've been a customer of AT&T since 2005 and they don't give me the option.

Does anyone know how I could upgrade this year when the iPhone 5 is launched?

Just curious - for those of you who bought iPhone 4 on the first day but are still not showing as eligible for upgrade, are you on a single person account, or do you have more than one line on your account?
