Found the Nike+ 42mm last week in store, but couldn't make up my mind...now I'm kicking myself for not just buying it! Seems Nike.com still has some though.
and now the stainless steel options are out of stock everywhere. this late out from release, very strange most models are so constrained..
There is a shortage everywhere. Even the standard aluminium models are in short supply....none in Europe. The Nike models are everywhere though. Bearing in mind that we are almost two months on since the release of the new phones and watches with order times still 3 to 4 weeks, I have never known such a shortage supply for Apple products.
Something isn't right.
I am surprised that the third party apple sites aren't reporting on this

Yeah you are right. No stainless anywhere. Load of aluminium models in the States but none in Europe....not one. Maybe this week Apple will ship supplies over.View attachment 670658 View attachment 670659
I agree. Not one word.
I assumed it was only the SS models because about three weeks ago I went to Target and Best Buy and there were several Aluminum versions here in the US (Cleveland, OH area). On istocknow, it shows a quite a bit more (but still not a lot and none in my area) Aluminum. As you can see, the SS is practically nonexistent.
My husband & I are both waiting on 42mm Aluminum S2 watches. We ordered them from Apple over 2 weeks ago with an estimated delivery of November 18-28. We've had no movement & I haven't seen our specific configurations come into stock at our Apple Store. Every now & then they get a 42 Sport but never ours & it is gone quickly
I ordered an SS42 Series 2 with saddle brown a couple of weeks ago with an estimated delivery of 3 to 4 weeks and on the same day it went from processing to preparing for dispatch and was shipped the next day from China to the U.K. 4 days later it was in my hands. It was scratched on the side though and so I called Apple and they put in a priority order and another one was sent out the next day.I ordered a 42mm SS with the Saddle Brown leather band on Thursday last week, with an estimated delivery in 3-4 weeks. I've read some stories online with people receiving their orders earlier than expected. Would be curious to hear from those who received their watches (especially the SS version) what the difference between the expected and actual delivery dates was.
I've been watching the http://www.istocknow.com/live/ map since launch. It's fascinating. One day there will be nothing anywhere and then, the next day, a particular model will spread out across the map. A day or two later, everything is gone before a different model, likewise, spreads across the map before disappearing. Last week it was SS space black in the north east. It was suddenly absolutely everywhere and then completely gone a few days later. I'd wish I'd saved a screenshot.View attachment 670658 View attachment 670659

Yes Apple order times are all over the place for aluminium and stainless. Its a nice surprise though when watches ship sooner than expected.Every model (except nike) in the UK had 4-3 weeks shipping, now it's down to 2-3. Hoping my 42mm gold will arrive soon, ordered 24 Oct expected 22 Nov.

There are plenty of aluminium in the States at the moment where stock in the uk is very limited. Very few SS in the US or the UK. The SS does seem to be the more popular model this time around but when the first gen was released, it was the sport that was more popular by quite a margin
