Those sales stats were for 4th quarter which only included the first days of the Series 2 launch. Of course sales are going to be down as people await an updated watch.

I haven't ordered and I can't. I'm using store credit at a Simply Mac store so I have to wait until they get one in. They have gotten 2 series 2 watches, but they were 38mm ones, and they have received several 38mm and 42mm in Series 1, but no 42mm Series 2 at all.

Just checked when the model I want would be available for pickup in an Apple Store and it is not until December 2nd. Now if Apple cannot supply their own stores then how can the they hope to supply their resellers?

I made a wager with a friend that the Simply Mac store would have the new MacBook Pros in before the Series 2 watches and I may win that bet.

Last Wed I placed an order with Best Buy for a 42mm S2SS with white band. I was hoping I'd be like some of the other BB buyers here and get a surprise ship date a day or two later even though the order gave a Dec delivery date.

A few days went by, no changes. This past Saturday, I checked the Apple store, and it was AVAILABLE for pickup! SBSS was as well! Now, the last in store dates I remembered seeing said early November.

Bought the S2SS 42mm online on Saturday, and picked it up Sunday. On my wrist now. Best Buy order is officially cancelled!

If you're near an Apple store, keep checking it! You never know.

Not directed at anyone here...

We have become a consumer who wants instant availability and not having to wait for anything. He instant gratification society. Nothing really wrong with any of this. I would just want to add that we should order the one we want from the source we most trust and just wait.

I can't tell you how many posts I have read of people ordering from multiple places and returning one or ordering several times and cancelling several times.
That's all well and good except there's no pickup at store option, which means I either got to be at home when the phone arrives or drive to UPS or FedEx and pay roughly a $60 sales tax versus picking up the phone in sales tax free Delaware at the Apple Store.

I popped into the Apple Store Wednesday night and nothing in stainless steel except 38mm; tonight they had a 42mm Space Black with BSB and I grabbed it.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I again gave up on purchasing an Apple Watch. Just for curiosity sake though, I went on Apple and Best buy's website to see what the availability was today. Apple says the middle of next month and Best Buy no longer even has the option of purchasing the ones I'm interested in.

After the delay of the Airbuds, the Macbook Pro announcement last week, the lack of any info about iMac updates, and the handling of yet another flawed release of Apple Watch I think I will be taking a wait and see attitude on any Apple purchases in the future. I was planning on purchasing multiple Apple TV's for Christmas gifts, an iMac, Apple Watches for my wife and I, and Airbuds. Just can't do it. I have no idea where Apple is headed and no confidence that they do either. Sad.

Another source you folks might want to try is B & H Photo. I had to wait only 1 week for my 42 mm S2 Alu with Pearl Nylon band. The estimated wait from apple was a month and Best Buy had removed that model from its website. Also, B & H charges no sales tax outside of New York.

Seems like Apple made a few Nike + to meet the October 28 release and now is constrained again.

How are you guys checking Apple store stock? Is there a different way to check general Apple watch stock than just calling?

I didn't realize these were so hard to get! I got mine through macys.com and it came within the week - Black SS milanese 38 mm. Maybe the 38 mm's are less popular? Good luck to everyone and hopefully you don't have to wait til december
